  • Paramount+’s new series ‘Wolf Pack’ release date announced

    While it was earlier announced that a series titled Wolf Pack is in development at Paramount+, the studio has now announced the primary cast of the show. Bella Shepard of The Wilds fame, Honor Society’s Armani Jackson, Tyle Lawrence Gray of Macbeth fame and Chloe Rose Robertson (Wildflower) will be playing the lead characters in the series.

    Jeff Davis, who developed the MTV series Teen Wolf in 2011 is the writer of Wolf Pack which is based on the novel series by Edo Van Belkom. The show will tell the story of teenagers Everett (Jackson) and Blake (Shepard), whose lives turn upside down when a wildfire in California awakens a deadly supernatural creature. Davis will also be serving as the executive producer along with Joe Genier, Mike Elliott, and Jason Ensler, who is directing the pilot.

  • Colin and Casey Jost to pen new ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ movie for Paramount

    LOS ANGELES: “Saturday Night Live” scribe Colin Jost and his brother Casey will co-write a new “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” movie for Paramount Pictures.

    According to Variety, the project is in early stages of development and its plot details have been kept under wraps.

    The movie, which comes from Paramount and Nickelodeon, will be produced by Michael Bay, Andrew Form, Brad Fuller, Scott Mednick and Galen Walker.

    The Ninja Turtles, about four brother turtles who mutate into humanoid heroes known for their mastery in Ninjutsu, began as an indie comic first published in 1984 by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird.

    It spawned an animated series, which became popular in 1980s, as well as multiple film series, including two movies produced by Bay.

    The new project is separate from the CG-animated film that Nickelodeon is developing with actor-producer Seth Rogen’s Point Grey Pictures.

    That film will be directed by Jeff Rowe from a screenplay by Brendan O’Brien.

    Colin Jost has been known as one of the key writers on “Saturday Night Live” since joining the show in 2005.

    He is also co-writing “Worst Man” for Universal, which he will also star in along with Pete Davidson.

    Casey Jost is popular for producing prank show “Impractical Jokers”.

    He also featured in the show’s film adaptation, “Impractical Jokers: The Movie” in 2020.

    He has previously written for “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon”, “Characters Welcome” and “The Special Without Brett Davis”. 

  • TV series ‘Evil’ renewed for season 3

    Streaming platform Paramount+ has confirmed that Evil, which recently jumped over to the OTT service from its original airing location on CBS, will officially be getting a third season. The show revolves around a sceptical psychologist who is partnered up with a trainee priest and a contractor to investigate some of the church’s most inexplicable mysteries and phenomena. Their aim is to find whether the supernatural exists, or if there’s a logical explanation behind the strange occurrences.

    Recently, it was revealed that the creators of Evil, Robert and Michelle King, had chosen to re-edit the second half of Season 2 to accomodate the show’s migration to Paramount+. Evil stars Katja Herbers, Mike Colter, Aasif Mandvi, Michael Emerson, Christine Lahti, Kurt Fuller, Brooklyn Shuck, Skylar Gray, Maddy Crocco, and Dalya Knapp.

    The show is produced by CBS Studios in association with King Size Productions. Season 2 is currently airing on Paramount+, with new episodes premiering weekly on Sundays. A premiere date for Season 3 has not yet been confirmed.

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi today performed Bhumi Pujan of Parliament House and laid the foundation stone. The construction of the new four-storey parliament building is expected to be completed by the 75th anniversary of India’s independence.

    In his address after the Bhoomi Poojan, PM Narendra Modi said that if the old Parliament House gave direction to India after independence, then the new building would become a witness to the creation of self-reliant India. Work was done to fulfill the needs of the country in the old Parliament House, the aspirations of 21st century India will be fulfilled in the new building.

    PM Modi said that Guru Nanak Dev has said that dialogue should go on till the world remains. Saying something and listening to something is the life of dialogue. This is the soul of democracy, there can be differences in policy, there can be differences in politics, but we are for the service of the public and there should be no differences in this ultimate goal. Whether the debate is within the Parliament or outside, the resolution of the service of the nation should be constantly reflected in the devotion to the national interest.

    He said that when the construction of the new Parliament House is starting today, we have to remember that it is the responsibility of all of us to awaken optimism towards the democracy which is the basis of the existence of Parliament House. We always have to remember that every representative who reaches the Parliament is accountable and this accountability is for the people as well as for the Constitution. Every decision of ours should be the spirit of the nation first and in every decision the national interest should be paramount. It is very important that we stand in one voice in one voice for the achievement of national resolutions.
