  • Ozzy Osbourne cancels 2023 European tour dates, cites injury

    By Associated Press

Hard rock legend Ozzy Osbourne announced the cancellation of his 2023 tour dates in the UK and continental Europe.

Osbourne issued a statement early Wednesday saying damage to his spine suffered in an accident four years ago will prevent him from touring.

“I am honestly humbled by the way you’ve all patiently held onto your tickets for all this time, but in all good conscience, I have now come to the realization that I’m not physically capable of doing my upcoming European/UK tour dates, as I know I couldn’t deal with the travel required,” Osbourne said.

The 74-year-old Grammy winner and former vocalist for the metal band Black Sabbath said “my singing voice is fine” but said he remained physically weak following three operations, stem cell treatments, physical therapy and Hybrid Assistive Limb treatment, which uses a robotic exoskeleton to help improve movement and balance.

He thanked his family, fans, band and crew members and fellow metal pioneers Judas Priest.

“Never would I have imagined that my touring days would have ended this way,” Osbourne said. “My team is currently coming up with ideas for where I will be able to perform without having to travel from city to city and country to country.”

Ticket refunds will be available at the point of purchase, the statement said.

The singer, who enjoyed solo success after leaving Black Sabbath, announced in 2020 that he had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, a nervous system disorder that affects movement.

Osbourne and the other three members of Black Sabbath were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006. Osbourne and his family, including his wife, Sharon, and two of his three children were the stars of their own reality show called “The Osbournes.”

    By Online Desk

Ozzy Osbourne is moving back to England. The reason, he has had enough of the mass shootings in the US.

In a recent interview, the former Black Sabbath singer himself is reported to have said that he is “fed up with people getting killed every day.”

Along with extended family, Ozzy and his wife Sharon Osbourne have been living in Los Angeles for the past two decades.

Over recent months, Ozzy Osbourne has had his fair share of health issues. Suffering with Parkinsons’ Disease, Ozzy has been recovering from neck and back surgery, having previously spoken about his struggles with general mobility, Radio Nova reports.

However in this recent joint interview, Sharon Osbourne has insisted that the couple’s decision to relocate is not down to her husband’s health.

“I knew people would think that,” she said, “It’s not”.

According to Sharon Osbourne, the decision to return to England is because America is a “very weird place to live in right now”.

“America has changed so drastically. It isn’t the United States of America at all”, she claimed. “Nothing’s united about it. It’s a very weird place to live right now”.

These sentiments, according to Radio Nova, were echoed by her husband Ozzy.

“Everything’s f****** ridiculous here. I’m fed up with people getting killed every day. God knows how many people have been shot in school shootings. And there was that mass shooting in Vegas at that concert… It’s f****** crazy”, he said.

“I don’t want to die in America. I don’t want to be buried in f****** Forest Lawn”, Osbourne added. “I’m English. I want to be back… It’s time for me to come home”.

Ozzy Osbourne has a new album on the way in the next few weeks, with ‘Patients Number 9’ arriving on September 9. It features a wide range of collaborations.

    By ANI

WASHINGTON: Veteran rocker Ozzy Osbourne’s romance with his wife Sharon Osbourne will be the subject of an upcoming feature film.

As per Variety, Sony Pictures and Polygon Entertainment will develop the yet-to-be-titled project, which will follow the celebrity couple’s decades-long romance in biopic format.

The film will follow their bond, one that exploded to the heights of pop culture with the flagship MTV reality series ‘The Osbournes’. Oscar nominee Lee Hall, whose writing credits include ‘Rocketman’ and ‘Billy Elliot’, is scripting the project.

“Our relationship at times was often wild, insane and dangerous but it was our undying love that kept us together,” said Sharon Osbourne.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Sony Pictures and Polygram to bring our story to the screen,” Sharon added.

The couple reportedly met in the 80s during the height of Ozzy’s fame. He was previously married to Thelma Riley from 1981 to 1972.

Sharon and her kids Jack Osbourne and Aimee Osbourne are producing via their label Osbourne Media, with Michele Anthony and David Blackman on behalf of Polygram Entertainment. Andrea Giannetti is overseeing development for Sony.

Music will obviously play a large role in the film and will feature tracks from Ozzy’s band Black Sabbath as well as work from his solo career.

Led by Jack Osbourne, Osbourne Media produces scripted and unscripted content for multiple platforms. He produced the documentary ‘God Bless Ozzy Osbourne’ for Showtime and oversaw the production of NatGeo Wild’s series ‘Alpha Dogs’.

His most recent documentary, ‘Biography: The Nine Lives of Ozzy Osbourne’, was a headliner for the 2020 SXSW Film Festival.

  • Ozzy Osbourne to undergo ‘major surgery’ for alleviating neck, back pain

    By ANI

WASHINGTON: British singer and songwriter Ozzy Osbourne is on the road to recovery after a 2019 fall that left him with painful injuries.

According to Fox News, the rocker will soon undergo “major surgery” on his neck and back which will help alleviate a lot of his pain, his wife Sharon Osbourne told a news outlet.

As a result of the bathroom fall, Ozzy dislodged metal screws in his spine which were originally put in after he was in a quad-bike accident in 2003.

Sharon told the outlet that she hopes the ‘Black Sabbath’ frontman will be able to get “back on stage” soon. “That’s what I pray for,” she said.

In 2019, the Osbourne family spoke with Robin Roberts on ‘Good Morning America’ about Ozzy’s incident. “When I had the fall, it was pitch black,” he recalled, adding, “I went to the bathroom and I fell. I just fell and landed like a slam on the floor and I remember lying there thinking, ‘Well, you’ve done it now,’ really calm. Sharon [called] an ambulance. After that, it was all downhill.”

The family also opened up about Ozzy’s Parkinson’s disease diagnosis. Sharon said, “It’s PRKN 2. There are so many different types of Parkinson’s; it’s not a death sentence by any stretch of the imagination, but it does affect certain nerves in your body. And it’s, it’s like you have a good day, a good day, and then a really bad day.”

Parkinson’s is a neurodegenerative disorder that typically develops slowly over years, although not all patients are affected the same. It can cause tremors, limb rigidity, gait and balance issues as well as the slowness of movement.

There is no known cure for the disease, but patients can seek treatment through various medications and surgery, according to the Parkinson’s Foundation.

Presently in 2021, Sharon told the same outlet that Ozzy’s Parkinson’s is “under control.”

“It breaks your heart. He wants to get back [on the road]. He misses his friends, his musicians. They’re his partners. He misses that life. But with his Parkinson’s, he’s fine. He’s fine. He’s got it under control,” Sharon told the outlet.

As per Fox News, Sharon and Ozzy first met when the TV host was just 18-years-old. The couple was first introduced by Sharon’s father, who managed Ozzy’s band, Black Sabbath, at the time.
