Get ready for a floral feast! Rashtrapati Bhavan’s Amrit Udyan, one of Delhi’s hidden gems, reopens to the public on February 3, 2026, and stays welcoming until March 31. This annual event transforms the presidential estate into a public paradise, perfect for picnics and photography.

With Diwali and Chhath festivals approaching, the Bihar State Road Transport Corporation (BSRTC) is offering a special bus service until November 30th to ease travel for passengers. Recognizing the long waiting lists for train reservations, BSRTC is providing subsidies on bus fares, making travel more affordable and comfortable. The special bus service will operate from Patna to major cities and surrounding districts in Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, and other areas. BSRTC has equipped these buses with modern amenities for passenger comfort and safety.

The subsidy plan offers approximately a 30% discount on regular fares. For instance, the Patna-Delhi route, which typically costs ₹1873, will be available for ₹1254 after a subsidy of ₹619. Similarly, the Patna-Nagpur route fare will be reduced to ₹1133 from ₹1527, with a subsidy of ₹394. The Patna-SCR route fare has been reduced from ₹2812 to ₹1893.

Buses will depart from Delhi between 2 PM and 8 PM, arriving in Patna the next day. Passengers can conveniently book tickets online without standing in long queues. Buses will also operate from Patna to cities like Ghaziabad, Mathura, Varanasi, and Hajipur during the festivals. This initiative aims to provide passengers with a safe and economical travel option while boosting the popularity of BSRTC bus services. Tickets can be booked on the Bihar State Road Transport Corporation website at https://bsrtc.co.in/.

If you travel frequently, rising flight ticket prices can strain your budget. However, by adopting some smart travel tips, you can save thousands of rupees. Booking online, taking advantage of offers, and choosing the right time can make air travel much more affordable. Here are some essential tips. By following these methods, you can save thousands of rupees on both domestic and international flights.

1. **Embrace the Advance Booking Formula:** Flight tickets are always expensive at the last minute. Booking your ticket 30 to 45 days in advance can get you the best prices. Airlines offer discounts on early bookings and raise prices as seats fill up.

2. **Choose Flexible Dates and Times:** Flight tickets are more expensive on weekends and holidays. Traveling on normal days like Tuesday or Wednesday can reduce prices by 20-30%. Similarly, late-night or early-morning flights are often cheaper.

3. **Utilize Flight Comparison Websites and Apps:** Platforms like Skyscanner, Google Flights, MakeMyTrip, and Cleartrip show prices from different airlines simultaneously. This allows you to choose the cheapest options. They also have a price alert feature that sends notifications when the ticket price drops. Use the app in incognito (private) mode.

4. **Take Advantage of Bank Offers and Cashback:** Sometimes, booking flights with credit and debit cards can give you an instant discount of 10-15%. Banks like HDFC, SBI, ICICI, and Axis often offer deals in collaboration with airlines and travel websites. Similarly, cashback can also be obtained from wallets like Paytm and Amazon Pay.

5. **Search in Incognito Mode:** Sometimes, websites increase prices based on your browser history after repeated flight searches. Searching in incognito mode will show you the real and lower prices.
