Health Minister Irfan Ansari celebrated this accomplishment during a ceremony at the NHM auditorium, stating that this national recognition is a matter of immense pride for the entire state. He credited the ranking to the government’s consistent efforts to improve medical facilities and announced that the state is now moving toward a ‘Health Guarantee Card’ system to further institutionalize quality care for all residents.

The state’s roadmap for healthcare expansion includes the establishment of a new Control Command Center in the Santhal Pargana region and the deployment of nearly 250 new ambulances. Minister Ansari also stressed the importance of preventive health, encouraging citizens to dedicate at least 45 minutes daily to physical exercise. Complementing the Minister’s vision, Ajay Kumar Singh, Additional Chief Secretary of the Health Department, highlighted the ‘One Health’ concept, noting that a balanced ecosystem is vital for a healthy society. The government is also fast-tracking the appointment of over 8,000 medical professionals to ensure that health centers across the state are fully functional.
