  • NITI Aayog nominated Dr. Dhananjay Pandey with Number One Teacher Award

    NITI Aayog has conferred the country’s number one teacher award to Dr. Dhananjay Pandey, in-charge of Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL), Government Higher Secondary School. In the field of innovation for the last three years, under the guidance of Dr. Pandey, a pediatrician of ATL has held the top position.

    On Friday, Niti Aayog director Dr. Ramanathan Ramann, Deepali Upadhyay and commission expert Swati K Rao took the online class of four selected ATL in-charge of the country. The Commission selected Dr. Dhananjay Pandey, the only in-charge from Chhattisgarh at Bilaspur Government Higher Secondary School.

    Apart from these, Ivanlecha of Sikkim, Jamuna of Puducherry and ATL in-charge Madhavi of Uttar Pradesh were selected. According to the commission’s view, considering the performance of only four ATL in-charges out of 10,000 ATL operated in the country, the four in-charge IDs were sent to join online. The time was set for 6.30 pm on Friday.

  • India’s Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan Nominated To Global Vaccine Alliance GAVI’s Board

    According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan has been nominated to be a board member at the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunisation (GAVI). Dr Harsh Vardhan will be representing the South East Area Regional Office (SEARO)/ Western Pacific Regional Office (WPRO) constituency on the GAVI Board from January 1, 2021 until December 31, 2023. At present, the seat is held by Myint Htwe of Myanmar.

    The GAVI Board holds an annual retreat, in March or April and generally meets twice a year, that is in June and November/December. All of these meetings are normally to be attended in person. Dr Ngozi Okonjo-iweala presently serves as Chair of the GAVI Alliance Board. 

    The GAVI Board provides a forum for balanced strategic decision making, innovation and partner collaboration with membership drawn from a range of partner organisations, as well as experts from the private sector. The board is responsible for the strategic direction and policy-making oversees the operations of the Vaccine Alliance and monitors programme implementation.

  • MoP of GoI nominats Shailendra Shukla as President & Kasher Abdul Haq Chairman, Western Regional Electricity Committee

    Raipur – Chhattisgarh State Power Companies Chairman Mr. Shailendra Shukla was nominated the President of Western Regional Power Committee (WRPC) as per the instructions issued by the Ministry of Power of the Government of India. Along with this, the managing director (IAS), Mr. Mohammad Kaher Abdul Haq has been nominated for the chairperson of the Technical Coordination Committee (TCC), Power Distribution Hub Company. For the year 2019-20, the nominated President Mr. Shukla and MD Mr. Abdul Haque Pavar Companies will also work with the WRPC obligations for the next one year.
