Noida’s Sector 64 became the scene of a gruesome homicide Thursday, as a footpath dweller allegedly killed his fellow homeless companion over a trivial financial disagreement. Rahul, 35, lost his life after being battered with a rock and callously dumped into a drain by Ravindra, 30, following a spat over Rs 1,500.

The discovery of Rahul’s body in the drain prompted an immediate police mobilization. Officers from Phase 3 station, backed by higher-ups and crime scene investigators, combed the area for clues. Rahul, who had been surviving on the streets of this bustling sector for years, was known locally but lacked a fixed residence.

According to preliminary findings, the two men, both sleeping rough and familiar with each other, clashed violently over the money Rahul owed Ravindra. The argument turned deadly when Ravindra, overcome by anger, struck Rahul’s head with a stone. As the victim lay bleeding, the accused heartlessly hurled him into the murky waters of the adjacent drain, sealing his fate.

Post-incident, police sealed off the site, conducted a meticulous panchnama, and sent the remains for autopsy. The postmortem report will guide further legal steps. In a decisive move, Ravindra was taken into custody, and questioning continues to uncover any additional details.

Such incidents highlight the desperate conditions of urban homeless populations, where survival frictions can ignite lethal confrontations. Noida police vow comprehensive investigations to deliver justice in this heartbreaking case.

A romantic day turned deadly in Noida when a man murdered his partner and then committed suicide on Valentine’s Day. The bodies were discovered locked inside a car in Sector 107, sparking widespread panic and police activity.

Identified as 32-year-old Sumit and 26-year-old Rekha from Delhi’s Trilokpuri, the duo appeared to be lovers based on the scene. Police believe Sumit shot Rekha before shooting himself, with a pistol found at the spot alongside spent cartridges.

Eyewitnesses in the Sector 39 area informed the police station, leading to a swift response from forensics experts and top brass. Evidence was meticulously gathered, and autopsies ordered to confirm the murder-suicide theory.

This incident echoes a fresh tragedy in Greater Noida last week, where a distressed woman ended her life with her boyfriend’s gun amid marriage disputes at a party. Delhi Police constable Ashish Panwar, her partner of five to six years, faced arrest in that case.

Noida’s recent spate of lover-related deaths raises alarming concerns over emotional turmoil, domestic conflicts, and firearm accessibility. Authorities have launched a thorough probe, but no motives have surfaced yet. The nation watches as this story of love gone fatally wrong unfolds.
