The next-generation Renault Duster SUV is poised to hit Indian roads early next year, with production expected to commence in the coming weeks. In the mid-size SUV segment, the all-new Duster will rival the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Toyota High Rider. The SUV is already available in select global markets, including Australia, and it’s anticipated that the India-bound version will largely mirror its design, features, and mechanical details. The 2026 Renault Duster showcases significant design and styling changes, including a new, prominent signature grille, LED lights, Y-shaped elements in the headlamps and taillamps, new bumpers, square wheel arches, appealing body cladding, and redesigned alloy wheels. The global model has an approach angle of 31 degrees and a departure angle of 36 degrees. It measures 4,345 mm in length, 1,822 mm in width, and 1,660 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,658 mm. The SUV will be available in both 4X2 and 4X4 variants, offering ground clearances of 212 mm and 174 mm, respectively. The new Renault Duster will be available in seven color options, including Shadow Grey, Cedar Green, Khaki Green, Solid White, Terracotta, Pearl Black, and Sandstone. The India launch may also feature these color options. Features include a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch driver display, wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, a 6-speaker Arkamys Classic audio system, electric folding mirrors, USB charging points, a wireless charger, and an electric parking brake. Safety features comprise a 360-degree camera, 3-point seat belts for all seats, ADAS, and blind-spot monitoring. In the Indian market, the 2026 Renault Duster is expected to offer multiple petrol engine options. Globally, the SUV currently features a 160 bhp, 1.3-liter petrol engine and a 130 bhp, 1.2-liter mild-hybrid petrol engine option. Both manual and automatic gearboxes will be available, and the 4X4 drivetrain system is exclusive to the higher variants.

With the festive season approaching, Mahindra is preparing to introduce a refreshed Bolero model. The company aims to revitalize the aging Bolero with updated features to maintain its market competitiveness. Spy shots reveal the new Bolero undergoing testing, hinting at design cues reminiscent of the Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon. Cosmetic changes are expected, while the mechanical setup is likely to remain the same. Anticipated updates include vertical grille slats featuring Mahindra’s Twin Peaks logo and potential revisions to the rectangular headlamps. The interior will receive significant upgrades, including a new touchscreen infotainment system and updated upholstery, similar to the Thar Roxx. The existing 1.5-litre mHawk diesel engine, producing 75hp and 210 Nm of torque, is expected to continue powering the vehicle, paired with the current 5-speed manual gearbox. The Bolero will retain its ladder frame chassis and may benefit from a reduced 18% GST. Although reports suggest a launch next month, Mahindra has yet to confirm an official release date. Along with the Bolero, the company is also expected to unveil the Bolero Neo and a new version of the Thar Three-Door.

KTM appears to be developing a new 500cc twin-cylinder platform for adventure and naked bikes. A faired RC model has also been seen undergoing testing, which is not entirely unexpected. Reports suggest the new twin-cylinder RC might utilize an engine from CF Moto. The Duke 500 and the adventure bike with a twin-cylinder engine were seemingly raw prototypes, while the RC appears closer to production. Images released by Motorrad magazine show the bike in a near-finished state. The engine of the KTM RC 490 seems to be sourced from CFMoto, including the primary chassis. Due to the full fairing of this bike, much of the engine is concealed, however, the visible exhaust downpipes closely resemble those on CFMoto models. Comparing the parallel-twin design from CFMoto to the KTM prototypes, the engine layout differs significantly. Therefore, there is a strong possibility that this model could be branded as the KTM RC 490. It is believed the motorcycle is built on the CFMoto platform, separate from the other two KTM bikes. As the current KTM RC 390 continues to use the outdated 373cc engine, a new power source for the next-generation RC may be in development. Details about the changes are speculative, based on the spotted sports bike.

TVS Motor is preparing to launch the NTorq 150 on September 1st, a move designed to expand the brand’s presence in the 150cc scooter segment. Since its 2018 launch, the NTorq has carved a niche in the 125cc segment, attracting customers with its styling and connectivity features. The teaser suggests the NTorq 150 will maintain its familiar design language but will incorporate sharper lines and a more prominent front end. LED lighting, featuring quad-projector headlights and T-shaped DRLs, will enhance its road presence.

Details about the scooter’s engine are not yet available, but it is expected to have a 150cc engine, generating approximately 12 bhp. It will compete with the Yamaha Aerox 155, Aprilia SR 160, and Hero’s upcoming Zoom 160. The TVS scooter might feature larger 14-inch wheels, a rear disc brake, and a smart connected system with a TFT screen, along with various ride modes and connected functions. With the tagline “Don’t feel the same,” TVS is positioning this scooter for thrill-seekers. Deliveries are expected to begin shortly after the official launch. It could also include 14-inch alloy wheels on both sides, a first for a TVS scooter.

The current NTorq 125, launched in 2018, has dominated the sporty 125cc scooter segment in India for seven years, with several updates and special editions like the Marvel-inspired Super Squad variant. The new NTorq 150 aims to build upon that legacy with more power, larger wheels, and bolder styling.

Nissan is gearing up to launch a new car in the Indian market. The company recently released a teaser video hinting at the arrival of an upcoming model. The teaser video features a scenic view of a place designed for observing the night sky and galaxies, set 4,500 meters above sea level. The video includes the text, “Now see something more,” followed by “Stay tuned.” While the automaker has not disclosed the name or specific details of the product, it is expected to be a 7-seater car similar to the Renault Triber. Nissan had previously confirmed the launch of a new compact MPV in India, which will share the platform, features, and engine with the Triber. Renault recently launched the 2025 Renault Triber with significant feature upgrades and minor design changes. Nissan may share more information about its upcoming model in the coming weeks. The new sub-compact MPV from Nissan was initially teased along with a new mid-size SUV, which will be based on the third-generation Renault Duster. The official teaser revealed the front of the MPV, featuring Nissan’s signature grille, a sporty bumper with silver wrap-around treatment, new LED DRLs, functional roof rails, and newly designed alloy wheels. Although this 7-seater family car will look different from the Triber, both models are expected to be similar in size. The Renault MPV has a length of 3,990 mm, a width of 1,739 mm, and a height of 1,643 mm. The new 7-seater car from Nissan will have the same powertrain as the Renault Triber. The Triber is powered by a 1.0-liter, 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine that generates a maximum of 71 bhp and 96 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT unit. In terms of pricing, the car will be one of the most affordable 7-seater cars in India. It is likely to start at around Rs 6.5 lakh. The new Renault Triber currently ranges from Rs 6.30 lakh to Rs 9.17 lakh (all, ex-showroom).
