Tata Motors showcased the updated version of its SUV, the Tata Sierra, at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. In the meantime, this SUV has been spotted during testing in the country multiple times. Recent photos suggest that the launch of the Tata Sierra ICE (i.e., petrol/diesel engine) is not far off.

The latest images show the testing model completely camouflaged to conceal the design. However, the design was already revealed at the expo, and it is believed that the production model will be almost the same. These photos show the SUV being refueled at a petrol pump. Based on the photos and the model shown at the expo, the Tata Sierra ICE is expected to offer:

* Full LED light setup
* Full-width light bars at the front and rear
* Black ORVMs (side mirrors)
* C-pillar design
* Flush-fitting door handles

Features such as a shark fin antenna, and more.

According to previous spy shots, the Tata Sierra ICE will get a three-screen setup: a digital driver display, a large infotainment touchscreen in the middle, and a third screen for the front passenger. All three screens are said to be approximately 12.3 inches and will have a floating design. The interior cabin will provide a more premium feel, including a dual-tone theme, soft-touch materials, and ambient lighting all around.

Tata Sierra Engine Options

This new SUV from Tata could have three engine options, including a 2.0-liter diesel engine (from the Tata Harrier), a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, and a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine. In addition, the company has also made it clear that the electric version (EV) of the Tata Sierra will also be launched soon.

The Hyundai i20, initially launched in India in 2008, has undergone several facelifts and generational upgrades in 2014 and 2020. This hatchback has consistently been praised for its elegant styling, premium cabin, and diverse powertrain options. Aiming to revitalize its market performance within the small car segment, Hyundai is set to launch a new generation i20. Currently in its early testing phase, the fourth-generation Hyundai i20 has been spotted on the roads of Gurugram, Haryana. The 2026 Hyundai i20 is expected to maintain its core design while incorporating the brand’s latest design language, potentially featuring a completely redesigned front fascia and newly designed alloy wheels. The hatchback lineup might also introduce new color options. Inside, the new i20 is anticipated to have a redesigned dashboard and a 10.2-inch dual TFT cluster. To enhance its appeal, Hyundai may incorporate features like ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, and other premium amenities. Regarding the engine, the 2026 Hyundai i20 is likely to retain its existing engine options. Similar to the current model, the next generation will offer a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.5-liter diesel engine, along with various gearbox options. The performance-oriented i20 N Line variant will also continue to feature a 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox. The pricing of the new Hyundai i20 is expected to see a slight increase compared to the current model, potentially ranging from ₹6.87 lakh to ₹10.43 lakh (ex-showroom).

The upcoming Maruti Victoris SUV is poised to launch with a suite of advanced features. This vehicle is envisioned as Maruti’s new flagship SUV, specifically designed to appeal to younger drivers and families. Notably, the Victoris will be the first Maruti model to incorporate ADAS (Autonomous Driver Assistance System) technology, enhancing driving safety through features like automatic braking, lane keeping assist, and collision avoidance.

Beyond safety, the Victoris will offer an immersive audio experience with a Dolby Atmos sound system. Furthermore, the car has been awarded a 5-star safety rating by Bharat NCAP, positioning it as one of the safest Maruti vehicles to date. The engine options will include petrol, petrol-hybrid, and CNG variants.

**Booking Details and Launch Timeline**

While the official launch date has not been announced, the Maruti Victoris SUV is expected to arrive in showrooms before Diwali. The manufacturer may launch the SUV around Navratri (September 22nd to October 2nd) to capitalize on the festive season. Bookings for the SUV have commenced, requiring a token amount of ₹11,000.

**Maruti Victoris SUV Variants**

The car will be available in six trims: LXI, VXI, ZXI, ZXI (O), ZXI+, and ZXI+ (O). The entry-level variant boasts features like a 7-inch touchscreen, a 4.2-inch driver display, black-ivory interior upholstery, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, voice assistant, a Type A front USB charger, push-button start/stop, a smart key, a pollen air filter, auto AC, rear AC vents, six airbags, ABS with brake assist, an electric stability program, hill hold assist, a tire repair kit, Isofix child seat anchors, and three-point seatbelts for all passengers.

With an estimated price of approximately ₹10 lakh, the base variant presents a budget-friendly option, though it may lack some premium features.

**Safety Features**

The higher-spec ZXI+ trim offers Level-2 ADAS, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, front ventilated seats, four speakers, a head-up display, two Type-C front USB chargers, terrain mode (AWD), and machine-cut 17-inch alloy wheels. The ZXi+ (O) variant includes a panoramic sunroof. These fully-loaded variants will command higher prices, with an estimated cost of around ₹18 lakh (ex-showroom). The top-end ZXI+ and ZXI+ (O) variants would be ideal choices for those with a sufficient budget.

**Value-for-Money Variant**

The most value-for-money variant will be determined upon the official price announcement. However, the Maruti Victoris ZXI is already a strong contender, offering a compelling package of features and value, including a larger 10.25-inch driver display, black-ivory interior upholstery, an automatic IRVM, blacked-out 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, DRLs, and fog lamps, along with all the features found in the lower trims.

The Vision S boasts a distinctive exterior, with LED headlights, a grille featuring LED elements and the brand’s twin peaks logo. Additional features include roof-mounted lights and pixel-shaped fog lamps. The SUV’s off-road readiness is emphasized by thick cladding, 19-inch wheels with unique rims, and side-mounted cameras instead of traditional mirrors.
The Renault Kiger facelift is slated for launch on August 24th. This compact SUV is expected to be one of India’s most budget-friendly options. The new version comes with updated aesthetics and features. Renault has released teaser images, showcasing a C-shaped taillamp, a shark fin antenna, and a sporty rear bumper. A new, vibrant green color option will also be available. The updated model will feature a redesigned front, including a new grille with the Renault logo, while retaining the split headlamps of the current model. The side profile is likely to remain similar, with dual-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels, a sloping roofline, body cladding, roof rails, and square wheel arches. The Kiger facelift will offer two petrol engine options: a 1.0-liter naturally aspirated engine and a 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine. The first engine delivers 72 PS of power and 96 Nm of torque, while the second produces 100 PS of power and 160 Nm of torque. Gearbox options will remain the same: a 5-speed manual and CVT automatic. A CNG option will be available as a retrofit at dealerships. Interior details have yet to be revealed, but a new freestanding touchscreen infotainment system, a new cabin theme, and updated seat upholstery are anticipated. Existing features like a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, wireless charger, automatic AC, wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay connectivity, steering-mounted controls, air filter, and ambient lighting will likely be retained. The new 2025 Renault Kiger is expected to be priced similarly to the current model, which ranges from ₹6.15 lakh to ₹11.23 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete with the Nissan Magnite, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, and Maruti Brezza in the sub-4 meter compact SUV segment.
