The NDMC has consistently been recognized as a leading civic body, often at the forefront of the Swachh Survekshan rankings, a nationwide cleanliness survey conducted by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. Chahal acknowledged the Prime Minister’s vision and governance model for fostering a culture of accountability, hygiene, and sustainability in urban management.

Chahal further elaborated on the NDMC’s achievements, citing the Prime Minister’s focus on transparent, technology-driven governance and citizen involvement. He mentioned NDMC’s adoption of innovations in waste segregation, door-to-door garbage collection, and sanitation management, which have set high standards in urban hygiene. The NDMC’s strategies include smart infrastructure, green spaces, and efficient waste-to-energy conversion systems. Chahal noted that the positive outcomes are evident not only in the awards received but also in the enhanced quality of life for the residents and visitors of Lutyens’ Delhi.

He reaffirmed NDMC’s commitment to upholding these high standards and continuing efforts toward improvement. The Vice Chairman concluded that with PM Modi’s leadership and the dedication of the NDMC, New Delhi is progressing towards becoming a cleaner and more livable city.
