  • Will decide on alliance with BJP after announcement of LS poll schedule: Palaniswami

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Palaniswami on Monday said the AIADMK will take a call on an alliance with the BJP only after the Lok Sabha election schedules are announced.

Talking to media here after meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Palaniswami, however, avoided further elaborations on the issue saying he came to meet the PM to submit a memorandum on state’s demands and not due to political reasons.

Palaniswami listed various demands including the state’s opposition to Karnataka’s proposal to construct a reservoir across river Cauvery at Mekedatu. The 20-point memorandum submitted by him also called for bringing three Tamil Nadu towns–Hosur, Ramanathapuram and Neyveli– under the regional air connectivity scheme UDAN.

On the Cauvery issue, Palaniswami referred to Karnataka sending a feasibility report to the Centre on the construction of a 67.16 TMC ft ‘balancing reservoir’ at Mekedatu. The proposal amounts to ‘a clear violation’ of the final order of the Cauvery Tribunal and the Supreme Court judgement, he contended.

  • BJP’s popularity has declined, will be no surprise if it loses 2019 elections: Gehlot

Senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot on Monday said the popularity graph of the Narendra Modi government has fallen and it will not be a surprise if the BJP faces a drubbing in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

He was speaking at a press conference at his residence here.

“Only two faces are ruling the country…those of Narendra Modi and Amit Shah. But it will not be a surprise if they are trounced (in the 2019 general) elections,” the former Rajasthan chief minister said.

He said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) also knows well that it will lose the upcoming Assembly elections in Rajasthan, which is why party president Amit Shah is using Modi’s name and not chief minister Vasundhara Raje’s to seek votes.

“They (BJP) have understood that seeking votes in the name of Vasundhara Raje will only lead to defeat. Therefore they are seeking votes in the name of Modi. But that time has passed, the (popularity) graph (of the Modi government) has rapidly come down,” Gehlot said.

“What Amit Shah and Vasundhara Raje are saying is a bundle of lies and people know it,” he added.

The Congress leader also demanded answers from the BJP on the Rafale fighter jets deal and on the huge rise in the turnover of the company of Shah’s son.

“They are not replying (to questions) about the Rafale deal and rather pushing forward IAF officers (for statements). They should also respond on the matter of (assets of company of) Amit Shah’s son,” he said.

Speaking about the proposed ‘mahagathbandhan’ (grand alliance) of opposition parties to stop the juggernaut of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance, Gehlot said it was necessary that all of them come on one platform.

  • Three ‘suicidal’ steps of Narendra Modi government

The Lok Sabha elections have less than 8 months left, the assembly elections in three major states of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh are on the head. In such a situation, the fall of the popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a matter of grave concern for the ruling party. But, behind the decreasing popularity of Modi, nobody is being considered as some of the major steps taken by the Central Government, due to which they may have to face difficulties in the coming elections. Politicians are also giving the names of the Modi government’s decision ‘suicidal’ steps. These are big decisions which can derail the BJP’s power train from not only states but also at the center. Come, know, what are the suicidal steps of the Central Government that can harm them …
Noteben: Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the closure of 1000 and 500 rupees notes as on November 8, 2016, the entire country chaos created. Despite being engaged in long lines, people supported Modi’s decision. But, when the Reserve Bank recently told that 99.3% of the amount came back to the banks, then the Opposition and Finance analysts questioned what happened to ‘black money’ when almost the entire amount came in banks? On the other hand, during the raids in Tamil Nadu, 100 crores of cash and 100 kg gold was recovered during the raid, many other places when cash was recovered in crores, even then people questioned how these new notes came to these people? Now people have started to feel that black money has not ended, they are worried only in unemployment. GST: The government’s decision to implement GST also made people angry. The government is also not stable at the rates of GST. While the traders are angry about the process, the common man is upset that despite lowering the tax rates, he did not get the benefit of lower prices. Various companies either to the consumer Taxes did not give the benefit or increased the price of your product. Petroleum products, on the other hand, are still outside the scope of GST and their prices are constantly touching new heights. This is the common man’s mercury. Since the arrow has now come out of the command, it would be interesting to see how the BJP can manage the voters in the coming assembly elections and the Lok Sabha elections of 2019, or the boat of power will be submerged in the middle instead of being shore .

  • Editorial :- kaamddar Modi Ke Virudh Naamdaar …

There are Congress posters in Allahabad. In which it is said that Indira’s blood Priyanka is Coming Soon That is, Congress is on the grounds of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections by citing his family blood on the basis of Nehru-Gandhi dynasty.

Taking a beating on this, Amit Shah has said in his speech that Rahul Gandhi should account for his four generations before demanding a 4-year accounting with the Modi government.

Speaking on the non-confidence motion brought by the TDP of Andhra Pradesh in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi had said that Narendra Modi could not even get his eyes from me. PM Modi overturned this as:

You are Namdhari and we are Kamdar, we can not dare you eye in your eye: PM Modi

In the past, Congress President Rahul Gandhi had said that if there is a need to defeat the BJP, then he is ready to make any woman a PM candidate too. After this, it was speculated that Rahul could choose between Mamta Banerjee or Mayawati. But now it is believed that Priyanka Gandhi may also be a PM candidate.

This is the reason for the possibility that Priyanka Gandhi will fight Sonia’s Rae Bareli and Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s Prime Ministerial Candidate? Mamta and Maya hands will remain silk.

Today’s news is: Unique weapon preparing rills for dealing with terrorism means book arms.

Maharashtra Police is preparing a set of Marathi books based on articles of experts to help their efforts in combating extremism, extremism and terrorism, which is such a first initiative of its kind. This book will prove to be helpful in dealing with terrorist cases.

A senior official of the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) told that the essence of the writing of experts on terrorism in various languages including English to train policemen in dealing with such cases is included in this Marathi compilation.

In these books issues such as the psychology of terrorists, the training methods of terrorist organizations, some major terrorist attacks, and the youth should be drawn from the terrorist influence. One of these books is ‘The Islamist: Why I Joint Radical Islam in Britain, What I Say Inside and Why I Left’. Ed writer born in Britain, Ed Hussein

Our organization against terrorists has made chilli bombs. Israel has also invented many techniques, plastics bullets and electronic walls are prominent.

We are seeing that the terrorist organizations are preparing terrorists through social media and are training to build bombs etc.

There is more power hidden than the atom bomb in books. Someone has even written that a drop of white gold can make thousands of people think.

That is why there is a history of jihad against books even against the books. Nepal has been a Hindu nation. After the rule of the Maqsadis, whatever books related to Hindu culture were burned on them. In his speech in Lucknow during the UPA regime, Chidambaram had said that India’s ancient history has never been glorified and India has never been a gold pudding. Such interpretation books should be burnt.

  • PM post aspirants must not blend ignorance, falsehood: Arun Jaitley blasts Rahul Gandhi

Congress president Rahul Gandhi’s speech during the Lok Sabha debate on the Opposition’s no-confidence motion was “embarrassing” and “ignorant”, Union minister Arun Jaitley has said.

“If a participant happens to be a President of a national political party nourishing Prime Ministerial aspirations, every word he speaks should be precious. His facts should convey credibility. Facts are always sacrosanct. None should ever trivialise the debate. Those who desire to be Prime Minister never blend ignorance, falsehood and acrobatics,” said Jaitley in a Facebook post on Saturday, commenting on Gandhi’s allegations against the Narendra Modi government.

“Regrettably, the President of the Congress Party missed a great opportunity. If this was his best argument for 2019, God help his party,” said Jaitley. “To hallucinate after an embarrassing performance that he has won future election or to hallucinate that he is the reincarnation of Mark Antony being complemented by friends and foes alike, may give him self-satisfaction but for serious observers it is more than just self-praise – in fact a serious problem.”

He said Gandhi’s allegations about India’s deal with France to buy Rafale fighter planes showed that he was “ignorant of facts”. Alleging corruption in the deal to purchase the planes, Gandhi had said Prime Minister Narendra Modi took away the contract to manufacture the planes from Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and gave it to “one of his businessmen friends”.

Gandhi claimed that defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman had said that the government would reveal the price of the deal for purchase of Rafale, but later refused on the grounds that there was a secrecy agreement between India and France.

Jaitley rejected the allegations and accused Gandhi of “concocting” a conversation with France’s president Emmanuel Macron. He said the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance government had entered a secrecy pact with France about the Rafale deal, but Gandhi was “wholly unaware” of it.

“…to insist on disclosure of financial details, which indirectly involves the disclosures of the strategic equipment on the aircraft, is to hurt national interest. Cost gives away a clue to the weaponry in the aircraft,” said Jaitley.

  • Day after PM hug, Rahul Gandhi says only love and compassion can build a nation

A day after creating a splash in the Lok Sabha by hugging Prime Minister Narendra Modi+ , Congress president Rahul Gandhi today said that only way to build a nation was by harnessing love and compassion of people.

He said yesterday’s debate in Parliament on the no-confidence motion was about the prime minister using “hate, fear and anger” in the hearts of some people to build his narrative, and the Congress countering that through love and compassion.

The point of yesterday’s debate in Parliament.. PM uses Hate, Fear and Anger in the hearts of some of our people to build his narrative. We are going to prove that Love and Compassion in the hearts of all Indians, is the only way to build a nation (sic),” he said on Twitter.

Gandhi gave a 45-minute fiery speech during the no-confidence motion debate in the Lok Sabha yesterday, accusing the prime minister of unleashing “jumla strike” on people in the form of demonetisation, joblessness, Rafale deal, poor state of economy, mob violence, lynching, and incidents of alleged atrocities on Dalits and women.

After concluding his speech, Gandhi walked across the aisle to where the prime minister was sitting and hugged him, capping his blistering attack on Modi.

The prime minster shook Gandhi’s hands but ignored his call to stand so that he could hug the BJP leader. The Congress chief, however, embraced him as he remained seated.

Modi initially looked nonplussed and did not stand up to hug him, but recovered quickly and called Gandhi back and patted him on the back. He also appeared to say a few words, which were inaudible

  • PM Modi tears into Congress, counters Rahul’s charges

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today offered a scathing rebuttal to Rahul Gandhi’s allegations and made a point-by-point refutation of the charges levelled against his government by the Congress and MPs and other opposition leaders.

The Prime Minister’s speech also marked the conclusion of the 12-hour-long marathon debate, which was followed by a voting on the no-confidence motion against his government.

The voting resulted in a comfortable win for the government with 325 MPs voting against the motion, while 126 MPs voted in favour of it. A total of 451 MPs participated in the voting.

Here is how PM Modi countered opposition charges in his speech:

    On Rafale deal with France

Following Rahul’s allegation of corruption in the Rafale strike, the Prime Minister said that he is astonished at the manner in which the Congress party is “trampling upon the truth”.

The Prime Minister alleged that the people of this country are being misled on the issue of Rafale deal.

The Prime Minister also responded to the French statement saying that a breach of the agreement between the two nations could impact security and operational capabilities of the defence equipment of India and France.

“Unfortunate that both countries had to respond to the allegations on this childish acts,” the Prime Minister retorted at Rahul’s allegations.

The Prime Minister dismissed the allegations by saying that the agreement signed between the two nations is “completely transparent”.

The Prime Minister slammed the Congress and said that it should refrain from indulging in “childish acts” and politics on matters related to national security.

    On Surgical strike

The Prime Minister lashed out Rahul’s reference to ‘jumla strike’ and equated it to the surgical strike carried out by India across Pakistan.

“You called the surgical strike a Jumla Strike. You can abuse me as much as you want. Stop insulting the Jawans of India. I will not tolerate this insult to our armed forces,” the PM retorted.

On conflict with China in Doklam

“When the entire country was working hand-in-hand to resolve the Doklam issue. The Congress to score their own political point met China’s ambassador. When you don’t have knowledge of an issue things get misconstrued. This affects the nation more than the person talking.”

    On Rahul Gandhi’s wink

The Prime Minister took at dig at the Congress president’s apparent post-hug wink in Parliament saying the entire nation saw what the eyes did today.

    On Rahul Gandhi’s hug

    1F26381F-8B45-4EB6-8D21-CB8B376DBE08

PM Modi mocked Rahul for gesturing him to stand from the seat before the now-famous hug, saying the Congress leader was in a hurry to unseat him and grab the PM’s chair, as he dubbed the no-trust vote an act of “arrogance”.

“In the morning, the voting was not over, the debate was also not over one member comes running to me saying- Utho Utho Utho (get up, get up)…What is his hurry to come to power? Let me tell this member it is the people who elected us. That is how we have come here,” PM Modi said taking a dig at Rahul’s move.

  • PM’s statement ahead of Monsoon Session of Parliament

In the rainy season, many important issues of the country should be its decision, the decision of which must be decided. It is important to have a discussion on many important issues of the country and the more comprehensive discussions will be given to the guidance of all the senior experienced people, the country will also benefit, the government will also benefit from good suggestions in its decision-making process.

I hope that all the political parties will use the time of the House to make the most important works of the country. It is my complete hope that everyone will have full cooperation and the image of India’s parliament’s activity in the country becomes the motivator for the state assemblies, such a good example will present all MPs and all political parties.

Every time I have expressed my hope, I have also tried. This time too, I am expressing hope. This time we are also trying and our effort will be continued. Any party, any member wants to discuss in any subject, the government is ready for every discussion. It is a monsoon session, in many parts of the country there are some disasters due to the rain and there are few places where there is less rainfall than expected. I think discussions of such topics will be very suitable only.

    Thanks a lot.
