    Rich in versatility, litterateur and linguist Dr. Narendra Dev Verma was born on 4 November 1939 in Sevagram Wardha and died on 8 September 1979 in Raipur. Dr. Narendra Dev Varma was, in fact, a serious poet who identified Chhattisgarhi language-identity. Apart from being a profound scholar of Hindi literature, he was also a skilled speaker, serious professor, linguist and music-penetrating singer.     Dr. Narendra Dev Verma received his MA from Sagar University. Passed the examination and in 1966 he was awarded Ph.D. for his dissertation on experimental poetry and literature.
