  • Nothing Phone (2a) Design Revealed Ahead Of Official India Launch On March 5 |

    New Delhi: London-based company Nothing has officially revealed the design of the Nothing (2a) smartphone ahead of the official launch in India on March 5. The Nothing Phone 2a has been showcased at the ongoing MWC 2024 technology event in Barcelona. It is expected to come in two colour variants: Black and White. 

    In a video shared in a post on X by Nothing showcased the design of the upcoming Nothing Phone 2a smartphone.

    Let’s unwrap the design of the Nothing (2a) Smartphone 

    Design:

    The Nothing (2a) model features a transparent rear panel design.

    Chipset:

    Camera:

    The phone will have two distinct camera rings positioned at the centre of the rear panel.

    Interface:

    The handset features a simplified glyph interface compared to the Phone 2, with only three LED lights around the camera modules.

    Wireless Charging:

    The handset lacks wireless charging, likely to keep costs down.

    Button Layout:

    Volume buttons are located on the right spine, with a power button on the left edge.

    Ports:

    Notably, the design is overall very refreshing, and the company has claimed there will be no third-party apps pre-installed on the smartphone.

    The company has already confirmed that Nothing Phone 2a will be powered by a 5G-supported MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro SoC, which is claimed to be paired with 12GB of RAM and an additional 8GB of virtual RAM. To recall, Nothing CEO Carl Pei has also reckoned that the Phone 2a units sold in India will be manufactured in the country.

    New Delhi: Xiaomi will launch its latest HyperOS interface in India on February 29, 2024. Notably, the new UI was initially launched last year in China with the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro. The Xiaomi 14, scheduled to launch in India on March 7, will still be the first phone from the company in the country to ship with this user interface.

    The Chinese smartphone maker also confirmed the list of devices at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona tech event that are confirmed to receive the HyperOS update. Xiaomi revealed that the Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 13T as well as the Xiaomi 12T series will get a stable update of HyperOS by June this year.

    New Delhi: Xiaomi has unveiled the Xiaomi Watch 2, and Xiaomi Watch S3, along with the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro globally at the ongoing MWC 2024 technology event in Barcelona. All three newly introduced smart wearables are available in selected markets, including Europe. However, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has yet to confirm the availability of these smart products in India.

    The Xiaomi Watch 2, Xiaomi Watch S3, and Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro come with black and silver colour options. They also offer interchangeable straps, allowing users to customize them as per their preference.

    The Xiaomi Watch 2 and Smart Band 8 Pro start at EUR 199 (roughly Rs. 17,850) and EUR 69 (roughly Rs. 6,200), respectively. On the other hand, the Xiaomi Watch S3 starts at EUR 149 (roughly Rs. 13,400).

    The smartwatch boasts a 1.43-inch AMOLED display, delivering crisp visuals with a peak brightness of 600 nits. The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 SoC, ensuring smooth performance. It comes equipped with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, offering ample space for apps and data.

    The smartwatch features a vibrant 1.43-inch AMOLED display for clear visuals. It runs on Xiaomi’s innovative HyperOS. For health enthusiasts, it includes a range of fitness trackers such as a heart rate monitor, blood oxygen level monitor, and tracking for sleep patterns and menstrual cycles, among others. The fitness tracker is loaded with a 486mAh battery, promising up to 15 days of usage on a single charge, as claimed by the company.

For those seeking the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, it is priced at EUR 1,499 (around Rs 1.3 lakh), available in Black or White with a storage capacity of 16GB/512GB.

    The device boasts a 6.73-inch QHD+ LTPO OLED display, delivering vibrant visuals and crisp resolution.
