Collector Dharmesh Kumar Sahu has provided two new tractors and trolleys to the Municipal Council by the district administration to make the city system better. Today, Municipality President Smt. Sunita Manjhi inaugurated these 2 new tractors and trolleys. On this occasion, councilors Sarvshree Amit Bhadra, Vijay Salam, Jackie Kashyap, public representatives of the area and other officials and employees of the municipal corporation were present. In the past, the arrangements of the municipality were discussed by the Chief Municipal Officer before the Collector Dharmesh Kumar Sahu. He had told the lack of 2 tractors and trolleys to make the arrangements of the city more better. While giving immediate approval, Collector Mr. Sahu immediately provided 2 tractors and trolleys to the municipality. It is noteworthy that the tractor-trolley has been arranged by releasing the amount from the DMF fund. It will be used for drinking water supply and sanitation. It was not possible to buy them with limited resources. The collector has made arrangements for this by taking quick cognizance. In the summer, there will be ease in water supply in the urban area.

Municipality General and Deputy Election – 2021: Initial publication of electoral roll on March 1
Chhattisgarh State Election Commission has released the electoral roll revision program for Municipality General and Deputy Election – 2021. Under this, the initial publication of electoral rolls will be done on 01 March 2021. Claims and objections can be submitted by the Collector and District Election Officer from March 1 to March 9 at the designated time to the designated staff at the identified sites.
The initial publication of the electoral roll will be done in the Electoral Registration Officer Office, Assistant Electoral Registration Officer Office and the concerned urban body office. Claims in the electoral roll can be made by such persons, whose name is in the popular electoral roll of the assembly election, but have been omitted from the initial publication of the electoral roll of the municipality or whose name has been published in the wrong ward or whose details are electoral If there is a defect in the roll, a claim can be made to amend it. Similarly, in the initial publication, if there is an objection to the name of a voter / own election roll, then a claim can be filed for its deletion.

Chhath Puja will be celebrated from home, Collector issued orders in view of Corona epidemic
According to the instructions of the state government, an order has been issued by Collector Shri Ranbir Sharma to conduct Chhath Puja houses this year. It has been stated in the issued order that 3487 corona virus positive patients have been identified in the district till 06 November 2020 and about 30 to 40 corona positive patients are being received every day. Keeping in view the continuous increase of Corona positive cases, instructions have been issued to organize Chhath Puja to prevent and control it so that common citizens do not gather in one place and the prayers can be completed with full faith and respect. In this regard, a meeting of Chhath Puja committees has been held on 07 November in the district, in which it has been decided that the common people will perform Chhath Puja in their homes. Will not go to any river, water stream, pond, pokhari to pay. The president or secretary of the Chhath Puja Committee will place a banner before any worship at the Chhat Ghat, so that common citizens can know in advance. Apart from this, we will promote through Facebook, WhatsApp and other media. Chhath Puja will not be permitted under any circumstances. During Chhath Puja, it should be said that special care should be taken not to gather crowds in any situation in shops for selling pooja material. The Chief Municipal Officer, Nagar Panchayat Officer has been instructed to propagate the restrictions through loudspeaker mic. In addition to all these instructions, the Government of India Ministry of Health and Family Welfare issued the SOP issued on 04 June 2020. Will have to be compulsorily followed.
It has been told that in violation of the order, strict action will be taken under the Epidemic Disease Act and other law-friendly sections.
