The Transport Department is presently running a One Time Settlement System, the period of which is fixed till 31 March 2021. The District Transport Officer said that till 31 March 2013, the outstanding motor vehicle tax, penalty and interest has been completely exempted under the scheme. Similarly from April 1, 2013 to December 31, 2018, only the outstanding tax and interest will be payable, while penalty has been fully exempted. The District Transport Officer has appealed to the people to get the benefit of the said arrangement within the time period.
