Russia conducted a significant series of strikes on Ukrainian military facilities and natural gas infrastructure, according to reports. Overnight, long-range drones and missiles were deployed from various launch platforms, hitting all predetermined targets, as stated by the Russian Ministry of Defence. Ukraine’s state-owned energy firm, Naftogaz, described the attacks as the most extensive yet on the country’s gas extraction sites, labeling the damage as “critical.” Approximately 35 missiles struck facilities in the Kharkiv and Poltava regions. This assault surpasses a previous large-scale attack in July and coincides with recent diplomatic efforts by Kyiv’s Western allies to negotiate a peace agreement. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned the attacks, calling them a deliberate crime and an extension of the war, while Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko characterized it as a “massive attack,” noting that several cities, including Kryvyi Rih, Dnipro, Kremenchuk, Odesa, and Kyiv, came under fire.

The focus in Europe has shifted from aiding Ukraine and containing Russia to addressing its own security concerns. Preparations for potential conflict with Russia have begun. This shift follows a series of drone incursions across multiple countries, starting with Poland. While Russia has remained silent, experts believe that President Putin may be attempting to either intimidate Europe to divert attention from Ukraine, or preparing for a full-scale confrontation.

Drones, even without explosives, could trigger a future nuclear event. The recent drone activity, extending beyond the Russia-Ukraine border, is sparking tensions that could engulf the world. Multiple European countries are alarmed by the unauthorized drone activity, and while Russia remains quiet, many in Europe see these events as part of a broader Russian strategy.

Recent reports detail drone reconnaissance in Germany and the Netherlands, raising suspicions of espionage. This has led Europe to believe that a major conflict may be imminent. Efforts are currently focused on countering drones, but European nations are now preparing for a larger war. French President Emmanuel Macron has emphasized that any violation of European airspace will not be tolerated, indicating a state of confrontation with Russia.

France is ready to respond to Russia because of various factors that have influenced Putin’s actions in Europe. Russia has faced setbacks, including refinery fires, gas station explosions, and oil shortages, which Ukraine has reportedly caused. Considering the ongoing events and damages, the question arises: Will Russia seek retaliation against Europe? Will Putin remain silent? Is Europe now Russia’s primary adversary?

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt issued a warning that thousands of federal employees could lose their jobs if the government shutdown persists. She indicated this situation could escalate political tensions in Washington. Leavitt further alleged that Democrats are exploiting the crisis for political gain.

Leavitt stated that the nation is now in the third day of a shutdown orchestrated by Democrats. She asserted that Democrats are holding the American people hostage by demanding free healthcare for illegal immigrants.

She pointed out that Republicans fully support passing a non-partisan, clean funding bill, which is the same bill that Democrats approved to reopen the federal government in March. However, the same Senate Democrats are now voting against this bill. Leavitt expressed an understanding that Democrats will likely change their stance soon and expressed hope that they will do so.

Leavitt highlighted the severe personal impacts of the ongoing government shutdown on millions of Americans. She noted that the 1.3 million men and women of the US military, including the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and Space Force, who serve with honor and risk their lives to protect everyone, are not receiving their paychecks. Military families are already requesting food assistance due to the financial strain caused by the Democratic shutdown.

President Trump would end the reign of terror of the radical leftists in Portland. If Democrats do the right thing, this shutdown could end. But if it continues, layoffs will be an unfortunate consequence. Democrats brought the White House and the President to this situation by voting to shut down the government.

The President is deeply concerned about all the atrocities that have occurred in the Middle East in recent years. It is deeply unfortunate that he inherited this disarray from the Biden administration. During President Trump’s first term, the Middle East was on the path to peace and prosperity. Historic Abraham Accords were signed.

Israel was on the path to normalization with Arab and Gulf countries, and we hope this continues. However, the President has made it clear to Hamas that they must accept an acceptable and detailed proposal, or the consequences will be severe. He gave them a deadline of 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Leavitt believes that the entire world should hear the words of the President of the United States loudly and clearly. Hamas has the opportunity to accept this plan and move forward peacefully and prosperously in the region. If they fail to do so, the consequences will be very unfortunate.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh observed Vijaya Dashami with the nation’s soldiers. Singh visited Bhuj, Gujarat, on the eve of Vijaya Dashami and participated in a traditional ‘Bada Khana’ with the armed forces personnel. During his address, he emphasized the rapidly changing global landscape and the complex challenges that continuously emerge.

He noted the accelerating evolution of technology, stating that what was once considered modern quickly becomes outdated. Singh stressed that while traditional threats persist, new challenges like terrorism, cyberattacks, drone warfare, and information warfare have increased multifaceted risks. He highlighted that these threats cannot be countered solely with weapons; mental strength, updated knowledge, and rapid adaptability are equally crucial.

Offering Vijaya Dashami greetings, the Defense Minister described it as a symbol of the triumph of good over evil, truth over falsehood, and righteousness over injustice. He acknowledged celebrating the occasion with the soldiers in Bhuj, known for their courage and resilience.

Singh urged the soldiers to undertake continuous training, embrace new technologies, and prepare for any situation. He asserted that wars are won not only with weapons but also with discipline, morale, and unwavering readiness. He emphasized the importance of adapting to new technologies and incorporating training into daily routines to be prepared for every circumstance. He stated that the military that continually learns and adapts to new challenges remains invincible in today’s world.

The Defense Minister assured the soldiers of the government’s commitment to their welfare, modernization, the honor of veterans, and the security of soldiers’ families, emphasizing that the well-being of the soldiers is of utmost importance.

He underscored that the dream of a strong, self-reliant, and developed India rests on the shoulders of the soldiers, whose dedication and sacrifice make this dream a reality every day. Singh proclaimed the 21st century as India’s era and noted that, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is rapidly progressing toward self-reliance in the defense sector. He expressed confidence that with the commitment of the armed forces, India would soon be home to one of the world’s best militaries.

At a meeting with senior military officials at the Quantico Military Base near Washington, President Donald Trump addressed a gathering of hundreds of generals, admirals, and their advisors. The unscheduled meeting saw Trump issue a stern warning to Russia, stating, ‘If necessary, we have the most and the best nuclear weapons. But we don’t want to ever have to use them.’ He mentioned that in response to Russia’s nuclear threats, the United States dispatched its most formidable nuclear submarine near Russia. Trump asserted this submarine is a world-leading weapon, undetectable by adversaries, and technologically superior to those of Russia and China by 25 years.
Pakistan’s Defence Minister, Khawaja Asif, addressed the nation’s governance structure, often described as a ‘hybrid model,’ where military and civilian leadership collaborate. This statement comes amidst international scrutiny of Pakistan’s democratic practices and human rights record. In an interview with journalist Mehdi Hasan, Asif defended the system, downplaying the influence of the military in Pakistani politics. He instead shifted the focus to the United States, characterizing its democracy as influenced by a ‘deep state.’

During the interview, Hasan questioned the nature of power-sharing in Pakistan, highlighting the apparent dominance of military leaders over civilian officials. Hasan noted the unusual hierarchy where the Defence Minister seemingly answers to the head of the army. Asif responded by asserting his position as a political appointee and worker. He deflected comparisons to the U.S. system, where civilian leaders hold authority over military officials, instead referring to a ‘deep state’ model.

Asif conceded that the existing system is ‘hybrid,’ a term he has used before to describe the power dynamic between the military and civilian leadership. When asked about instances of disagreement between the two power centers, Asif stated that decisions are made by consensus. He acknowledged that this model, while not ideal, is a ‘practical necessity’ until Pakistan resolves its economic and governance challenges.

The Indian Air Force is officially retiring its iconic MiG-21 fighter jets. This marks the end of nearly six decades of service for the MiG-21, once considered the “most powerful” element of India’s air defense. A formal flypast and decommissioning ceremony will be held at the Indian Air Force base in Chandigarh, with senior military officials and veteran pilots who have flown the aircraft across generations in attendance. Introduced in 1963, the MiG-21 was India’s first supersonic fighter jet, with the first squadron, the 28 Squadron based in Chandigarh, earning the nickname “First Supersonics.” Over the years, India has inducted over 700 MiG-21 aircraft of various types, many of which were manufactured domestically by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited. Just like humans, aircraft worldwide are commissioned and decommissioned after their service life. The MiG-21 is now facing retirement. The article delves into the protocols for retired fighter jets, discussing their fate post-retirement.
