Additionally, the smaller MG Comet EV has also achieved a new record, with sales exceeding 21% in August. The company has expanded its reach by opening three new dealerships during August. This expansion has increased its presence across more than 90 percent of the country. The brand’s network now extends to over 543 sales and service centers across 270 cities. To strengthen after-sales service, the company has established service centers within a 15-kilometer radius, aiming to provide assistance to customers within 30 minutes.

The starting price of the Comet EV is ₹4.99 lakh (ex-showroom), which includes the new Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model, introduced by MG for some of its cars. Additionally, the battery rental for the Comet EV is set at ₹3.1 per kilometer used. The Comet EV features dual front airbags, ABS + EBD, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Hold Assist, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and a reverse parking camera.

MG ZS EV
Under the Ganesh Chaturthi scheme, MG is offering discounts up to ₹1.34 lakh on the ZS EV. The ZS EV is also available with the BaaS model, similar to the Comet EV. Under this model, customers can purchase the car for only ₹13 lakh (ex-showroom) and pay ₹4.5 per kilometer for the battery. It features over 75 connected features, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and over 100 voice recognition commands.

MG Astor
Regarding ICE-powered cars, MG is offering discounts up to ₹1.10 lakh on the ICE-powered MG Astor, which is the ICE version of ZS EV. The manufacturer has also recently reduced the ex-showroom price of the MG Astor to ₹9.99 lakh. This car has 6 airbags, ABS, ESP, TPMS, traction control, hill descent control, 4-disc brakes, a 360-degree camera, and ADAS.

MG Hector
The price of the MG Hector and Astor’s Sharp Pro MT variant has reached ₹19.59 lakh (ex-showroom). On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, the company is offering a cash discount of up to ₹1.15 lakh on the MG Hector. It will differentiate itself in features, size, and design, and is slated to be the company’s most affordable electric car.

VinFast aims to capture a significant share of the Indian EV market. The company launched the VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs in the country a few days ago. The MG Comet EV is currently India’s smallest and most affordable electric car, with a starting price of ₹7.50 lakh and a top model price of ₹9.56 lakh, available in 6 variants. The Minio Green, for which the company has filed a patent, is approximately the same size. This small electric hatchback is 3,100 mm long, slightly longer than the MG Comet, with a wheelbase of 2,065 mm and 13-inch tires.
