The Income Tax Department has extended the date of filing revised IT returns till 31 May, giving relief to the taxpayers. The date of filing the appeal before the CIT appeal has also been extended to 31 May. The Central Board of Direct Taxes has issued an order to this effect in view of the lockdown done at several places across the country due to Corona. Income tax SSC will now be able to file revised income tax return and bilated income tax return by May 31. Those assessees who have been having some shortcomings in their returns, have got a chance to file revised returns. Earlier, its last date was 31 March.

Maize purchase continues at state support price: to be purchased by May 31
In Chhattisgarh, procurement of maize on support price in the Kharif marketing year 2020-21 has been going on since December 1, 2020. So far, 835 quintal maize has been procured in the state. 15 lakh 45 thousand 675 rupees has been paid to the farmers. Maize will be purchased in the state till May 31. 01 lakh 20 thousand 990 farmers have registered themselves to sell maize.
10 quintals of maize will be purchased from registered farmers of the state at the rate of Rs 1850 per quintal. 119.50 quintal maize has been purchased from 5 thousand 868 farmers of Kanker district of the state. Similarly, 555 quintals have been procured from 345 farmers of Balod district, 39 quintals from 2 thousand 402 farmers of Rajnandgaon, 24.50 quintals from 5 thousand 846 farmers of Gariaband district and 97.50 quintals of corn from 19 thousand 863 farmers of Balrampur district.
