  • Today England team will reach Raipur, will start from March 5

    Adequate security arrangements have been made under the Road Safety World Cricket Series to be held at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Cricket Stadium in the capital Raipur. The process of teams coming for the tournament starting from March 5 starts today. Today England team will reach Raipur.
    In view of this, about 2 thousand police officers and soldiers will be stationed between the hotel from the airport and the cricket stadium in Parsada. Puri Suraksha has been divided into 3 parts, commanded by Durg IG Vivekananda Sinha and Raipur IG Anand Chhabra.
    A total of two thousand police officer-soldiers, including 2 IGs, 4 DIGs, 11 SPs, 26 additional SPs, 40 DSPs and 70 TIs, 100 SIs and ASIs have been deployed in the security system. Apart from this, three DIG level officers have been given security in the airport, hotel and stadium. In this cricket tournament during the Corona period, the teams coming from Friday will stay for 7 days in a hotel built in the bubble zone in Naya Raipur.
    During this time no one other than the limited staff will be allowed to meet the players. Apart from this, arrangements have been made to sanitize special buses called from Nagpur to transport them from the hotel to the stadium during the match.
    During this time, 2-2 SP level officers have been assigned security for the safety of buses. Additional security arrangements have also been made at the stadium during the match, which has been entrusted to 2 DIG level officers.
    During the match, the spectators have been instructed to check at each gate as well as from the breath analyzer. Drug addicts will not be allowed to enter the stadium. At the same time, the police has indicated to take tough action against any kind of nuisance.

  • Road Safety World Series Cricket Tournament in Nava Raipur from March 5: Bhupesh Baghel to inaugurate

    To increase public awareness about the importance of road safety, Road Safety World Series Cricket Tournament is being organized from March 5 to 21 at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Nava Raipur. There will be a total of 15 matches during this period. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel will inaugurate this tournament. Transport Minister Mohammad Akbar reviewed the preparations in the meeting of the Executive Committee in the committee room located in the assembly premises today. Transport Minister Mr. Akbar directed to ensure all necessary preparations including entrance gate, barricet, parking, water, sector wise group assessment, electrical connection, flood light, generator, air condition before March 5.
    Secretary Transport Dr. Kamalpreet Singh informed about the preparations being made for the tournament. He informed that the Corona Guidelines issued by the Government of India will be fully followed in the tournament event. Under this, national and international cricket players will be screened at the airport. Good arrangements are being made for buses and their stay to bring players. A temporary mobile tower will also be installed for communication during the cricket tournament. It was informed at the meeting that the price of tickets in tournaments has been kept in different categories from 500 to 10 thousand rupees. Of these, the general tickets have been fixed at Rs 500, 700, 1100 and 1500 and Golden 6000, Platinum and Silver 8000 and Box 10 thousand.
