“I see no issue here,” Dalwai stated unequivocally. “Want to stay in Maharashtra? Pick up Marathi. Chat with local kin in their language, and if you’re lacking, hit the books. No harm in that.” He underscored that safeguarding regional language and traditions falls squarely within state rights, beyond reproach.

The conversation turned to the Ladli Behna Yojana, where Dalwai echoed the Bombay High Court’s concerns. “Doling out money to women is misguided,” he said. “Empower them with employment opportunities. This handout culture could destabilize the economy – hardly a surprise.”

Targeting the BJP’s UCC agenda, Dalwai called it political theater. “Remember 2014 manifesto promises? UCC, CAA, NRC – all ploys to stoke divisions. Implementation? Good luck with that.”

Foreign affairs drew sharp words too, with Dalwai questioning Pakistan’s role in US-Iran talks. “Peacemaker Pakistan? Laughable, given their chaos. Blame our foreign policy gaffes, like the PM’s pre-war Israel trip, for elevating them.”

Dalwai wrapped up by accusing governments of development facades masking unfulfilled vows, calling for accountability amid rising public disillusionment.
