Monsoon is slowly spreading in the state. Due to which there is a possibility of light rain at many places of the state today. Light rain is expected in many places including the capital.
According to the Meteorological Department, a trough is located on the Bay of North East Bengal from East Uttar Pradesh to South Bihar Gangetic West Bengal, due to which a lot of moisture is coming in the state.
There is a possibility of light rain at one or two places, with a chance of thunder and lightning at some places. Meteorologist HP Chandra said about the monsoon that this time the monsoon will not reach Bastar earlier, but there is a possibility of early arrival of monsoon in Surguja and Raipur divisions.
