  • Javed Akhtar, Shabana meet Mamata; lyricist says there should be change, democracy is not static

    By PTI
NEW DELHI: Lyricist-writer Javed Akhtar and actor Shabana Azmi met West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee here on Thursday and spoke about a need for ‘parivartan’ (change), saying Bengal has always led “revolutionary movements”.

They met Banerjee to “thank” her for supporting a bill that assures royalty for artistes. The lyricist said historically, Bengal has always been a step ahead with revolutionary movements and this is why artistes and intellectuals in the state stood with Banerjee.

Asked whether there was a need for change, Akhtar said, “I can’t say for everyone but personally, I feel there should be ‘parivartan’.

There are many tensions in the country right now, there is the issue of polarisation, many give aggressive statements there are incidents of violence. It’s a shame that Delhi witnessed communal riots. These things should not happen.”

Replying to a question of whether Banerjee should lead the opposition against the BJP, Akhtar said that during his discussions with her, she never said that she had the ambition to be the leader of an opposition front.

“However, she believes in parivartan. She fought for Bengal earlier, now she wants to fight for India.”

“The important question is not who will lead and who won’t. The important question is what kind of India do you want and the kind of tradition, atmosphere, freedom and democracy do you want. We are proud that we have a democracy but we should strive to make it better. Democracy is a constant process. It is not static, it’s dynamic,” he said.

Asked to comment on the now-viral slogan of “Khela Hobe (game is on)”, Akhtar said that the slogan did not need any endorsement anymore.

“It is beyond any discussion now,” he said. Banerjee, who was standing silently as Akhtar spoke, quipped, “Khela hobe se aapko ek gaan banana hai (you have to compose a song on khela hobe).” The chief minister arrived in the national capital on Monday on a five-day visit, her first since assuming office for a third straight term. She is scheduled to leave the city on Friday afternoon.

  • Mamata Banerjee’s West Bengal Cabinet List Out, 43 TMC Leaders Sworn In As Ministers

In a big development on Monday, 43 TMC leaders were sworn in as Ministers in the Mamata Banerjee-led West Bengal government. 24 Cabinet Ministers, 10 Ministers of State (Independent charge), and 9 Ministers of State were administered the oath of office and secrecy by Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar at the Raj Bhavan in Kolkata. While Banerjee has retained many of her previous colleagues, the fresh faces in the Cabinet include Bankim Chandra Hazra, Rathin Ghosh, Pulak Roy and Biplab Mitra.

Most importantly, Amit Mitra serving as the Finance Minister of the state since 2011 has been included in the Cabinet. As he did not contest the West Bengal polls, the ex-FICCI secretary-general will have 6 months to get elected to the state Assembly. Former IPS officer Humayun Kabir and Ratna De Nag are among the list of Ministers who will hold Independent Charge of a Department. Meanwhile, cricketer-turned-politician Manoj Tiwary too found a place in the Council of Ministers. After a tough election campaign, the TMC decisively won the West Bengal election to win 213 seats, while the BJP was able to win only 77 constituencies. The voter turnout was 84.63 percent, 86.11 percent, 84.61 percent, 79.90 percent, 82.49 percent for the seats going to the first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth phase of polling. , 79.11 percent, 76.90 percent and 78.32 percent respectively. While the JP Nadda-led party won 74 more seats than in the previous election, a vote share of 38.13% did not challenge TMC, which garnered a 47.94% vote share. However, barring Nandigram MLA, all other TMC leaders who had switched to BJP before the election could not win their seats. Even former Rajya Sabha MP Swapan Dasgupta, Union Minister Babul Supriyo and BJP Lok Sabha MP Lockett Chatterjee also suffered defeat.

  • Mamata Banerjee replies ‘Thank you’ and ‘ hope together we can set a new benchmark for Centre-State relations’

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday responded to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s congratulatory Tweet as she took oath as CM of Bengal for the third term.

She has emerged as one of the most prominent political figures in the country, overcoming the massive political onslaught by the Bharatiya Janata Party.

CM Mamata replied on PM Modi’s Tweet, she wrote, “Thank you Narendra Modi ji for your wishes.

I look forward to the Centre’s sustained support keeping the best interest of WB in mind.

I extend my full cooperation & hope together we can fight this pandemic amid other challenges & set a new benchmark for Centre-State relations.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday congratulated Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee on taking oath as the Chief Minister of West Bengal for the third consecutive term.

“Congratulations to Mamata Didi on taking oath as West Bengal’s Chief Minister,” said Prime Minister Modi in a tweet. Earlier in the day, Mamata was administered the oath of office by West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar.

  • Mamata lost election from Nandigram, should not become West Bengal CM ‘ethically’: Biplab Kumar Deb

Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Tuesday said that Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee should not become the Chief Minister of West Bengal “ethically” as she has lost the election from Nandigram seat in the recently held state Assembly elections.

Despite Banerjee losing the seat to BJP’s Suvendu Adhikari, who was once her close aid, the TMC registered a landslide victory in polls winning 213 seats in the 294-member West Bengal assembly.

Addressing a press conference at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) office here to protest the alleged post-poll violence in Bengal, Deb claimed that though the BJP lost the assembly election in some of the states that went to polls, its vote share increased by several times.

“Many people have become Chief Minister without contesting the elections, but Mamata Banerjee contested and lost the election from Nandigram. People did not elect her and on this ground, ethically, she should keep herself away from the Chief Ministerial position,” he said.

“Now Mamata Banerjee is claiming there was a conspiracy against her. If defeat is a conspiracy, then there is a conspiracy behind victory in the election,” Deb added.

The Tripura Chief Minister further said that the post-poll violence is taking place across West Bengal after the TMC’s win and highlighted that at least five BJP workers have been killed.

“Houses of BJP supporters are being attacked by TMC-backed goons. Party offices, houses and shops of BJP supporters are either being vandalised or being gutted in fire,” he added.

  • Karimul Haque, who was hugged by PM Modi at the airport, know what he said about Mamata Banerjee?

PM Modi, who arrived in Bengal on Saturday to campaign for the West Bengal Legislative Assembly election, embraced him socially and Padma Award winner Karimul Haque with aplomb as soon as he saw him. Please tell that its photo is becoming fiercely viral on social media. Significantly, Karimul Haque is also known as ‘Bike Ambulance Dada’. In fact, PM Modi landed at Bagdogra Airport in West Bengal on Saturday for the election meeting. Karimul Haque was already there. On seeing him, PM Modi embraced him. There is a lot of praise on social media about this. People say that honoring Karimul Haque’s social service comes well to PM Modi. Please tell that Karimul Haq works in the Jalpaiguri district to transport patients by his motorcycle to the hospital. He has also been awarded the Padma Award for this unique way.

On this, when an attempt was made to know from Karimul Haq by a news website NBT that Mamta Banerjee would not be angry with him. After this, what Karimul said will be nothing short of a shock for Mamta. Actually, while answering this question, Karimul Haque said that there is such a difference between Narendra Modi and Mamta Banerjee that when he went to meet Didi, he was ‘abused’. Karimul Haque said that PM Modi runs the country and Mamata Banerjee runs Bengal. When PM Modi called me to meet, I went and met him, he hugged me, it was a matter of difference for me. Who meets a poor man like me? If I went to meet the PM, what would I ask for my state, then I would ask for something. He said that if I ask for anything, I will demand for the country to make AIIMS in Bengal. With this Karimul Haque said that if I went to meet Mamta Banerjee, I was not allowed to meet her. I was offended by this. We are dirty men, probably because of this we were not allowed to meet Didi.

  • Didi’s big problems, EC gave another notice, statement about CRPF soldiers

Assembly elections in West Bengal are to be held in 8 phases. There have been 3 phases of voting so far. In the fourth phase, voting is to be held on 10 April on 44 seats. Let me tell you that as the election phase is moving forward, the tug of war between BJP and Trinamool Congress is also getting faster. While Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is not leaving any chance to attack the BJP, one of her statements has now become a sore throat. In fact, recently Mamata Banerjee, while addressing an election meeting, accused the CRPF of being partisan. At the same time, the Election Commission has given another notice to TMC chief Mamata Banerjee, taking cognizance of the case. Explain that earlier the Commission had sent notice to Mamata Banerjee on the statement that ‘Muslims are united’. The second notice sent by the Election Commission mentioned Mamata’s statements in which she is questioning the role of the central security forces.

Actually, Mamta Banerjee had earlier asked voters and her supporters to surround the CRPF team. Because they suspect that the CRPF team is preventing their supporters from voting, along with this, a case of misconduct with a woman was also raised. Let me tell you that Mamta Banerjee has made this charge while addressing a rally in Cooch Behar district.

  • Mamata accuses BJP of destroying institutions

Continuing her tirade against the BJP-led NDA Government for “taking India towards a political chaos,” Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday said the saffron Government had ensured that the key institutions of the country were destroyed.

In an apparent bid to catch the bull by its horn the Chief Minister also announced counter-Yatras in the wake of BJP’s much publicised Rath Yatras beginning next month. The TMC Yatras will follow the route of the BJP Yatras, she said.

The Narendra Modi Government was tearing down the major institutions like Reserve Bank of India and Central Bureau of Investigation Banerjee said promising to do everything to protect these organizations.

“They (Modi Government) are destroying all the key institutions of the country,” Banerjee who had earlier been critical of changing the Planning Commission into Niti Ayog said adding how the Centre was “trying to change the way the RBI and the CBI function.”

The ruling outfit (read BJP) that was making “‘building statues’ its poll agenda will itself become a statue after the coming Lok Sabha elections,” Banerjee told a party meeting in Kolkata.

Dropping hints that the Trinamool Congress was planning to take central stage in Delhi post 2019 general elections, Banerjee said the way the BJP was trying to divide the country and implementing regimes like the National Register for Citizens would force her party to “play a bigger role in the coming days.

“We will not tolerate division in the society and persecution of innocent people in the name of NRC,” Banerjee said giving a call for “BJP Hatao Desh Bachao (save India by driving away the BJP)”.

The Chief Minister who had called a mega rally in January to be held at the historic Brigade Parade Ground in Kolkata where she had invited all the anti-BJP parties said “all parties barring a few have confirmed their desire to attend the rally,” adding the same will act as the final nail in the BJP’s coffin.

Attacking the saffron outfit for reintroducing the age-old tactic of Rath Yatras to polarize the Hindu vote, Banerjee said, “the BJP is organizing the Rath Yatra to divide the people but we will organize similar Yatras which will be called “Ekta Yatra (Unity Rally)” on the same route that their Yatra follows.”

The Trinamool Congress’ Yatra “is aimed at uniting and not dividing the communities,” Banerjee said.

Incidentally the CPI(M) which was locked in a battle with the BJP for the second place in the State has also announced rallies following the same path that the BJP’s Yatra is like to take.

The BJP is scheduled to take out three Yatras in December. While the first Yatra will start from Ganga Sagar (the southernmost tip of Bengal), the second one will commence from Tarapeeth in Birbhum district. The third Yatra will start from the northern most district o the State Coochbehar bordering Assam. The BJP’s chariots will converge at the Brigade Parade Ground in Kolkata on January 23 the birth day of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, the party sources said.

Enroute the Yatras will cover several thousand kilometers, during which 60 mass meetings will be held.

Top BJP leaders including party president Amit Shah, Assam Chief Minister Sarwananda Sonowal and his UP counterpart Yogi Adityanath will address the BJP rallies sources said.

“The Yatras will be taken out against Trinamool Congress’ reign of terror, its appeasement policy and its aiding the continuing infiltration through Bangladesh border,” BJP State Rahul Sinha said.

However TMC MP and Chief Minister’s nephew said the Rath Yatra would in fact be a “luxury tour of the State in air-conditioned vehicles by the BJP leaders.”

  • Editorial :- Har Chunaav Mein Elaayans Badalane Va Yoo Tarn Lene Mein Maahir Naidu Bane Ustaad Mahaagathabandhan Ke : Congress Sashankit

In the face of Ram, in front of Ram, while churning a knife in every election, Chandra Babu Naidu, who has been in the process of changing the alliance and taking a U turn, has gone for a grand alliance with Congress for the year 2019. What will be the fate of this three trumpet race?
Chandra Babu Naidu accompanied by Andhra Chief Minister BJP. Now they are calling the alliance of the opposition parties or alliances in the whole of India. In Andhra itself, they have not been able to form an alliance against the BJP. YRS and the figure of 36 between them.
The same is the case of Telangana. Before Andhra, Chief Minister of Telangana Chandrashekhar Rao was doing the third round of exercise for 2019, it has become ti-ti fiss.
In Telangana, Congress and Chandra Babu Naidu’s TDP are contesting against Chandrashekhar Rao’s party against TRS. This too is a big coalition spread against the BJP.
People of undivided Andhra, i.e. the people of Telangana and divided Andhra, are well aware of how the sculptures of Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi were thrown out by throwing hammer and thrown on the road.
Naidu’s race happened after Mamta Banerjee’s court. Mamta Banerjee’s TMC and the hostility of the communist parties is well known. That is why Mamata Banerjee is frightened by the BJP’s growing influence. Regardless of whether the Congress and the Communist parties will come against the BJP along with Mamta.
Naidu’s race started with Sharad Pawar and Farooq Abdullah to get the ambition of becoming the Prime Minister. So far, this race has not been able to reach Uttar Pradesh where the Lok Sabha has 80 seats.
The statements of Mayawati and Akhilesh Yadav are published in the first page of this issue of Lokshakti. Both the Congress and the BJP are making Nagnath one and the second as a snake nanatha, making the strategy of 2019. Apart from this, Raja Bhaiya also broke Akhilesh’s waist by making him a separate party.
In 1996, Naidu did an important task to unite all the different parties in the secular front that Karnataka politician HD Deve Gowda is credited for reaching the Prime Minister’s post.
Just two years after Naidu took a tremendous U-turn, along with right-wing ideology BJP, played an important role in forming the country’s first NDA government, due to which Atal Bihari Vajpayee became the Prime Minister.
In 2004, when his party faced defeat in Andhra Pradesh and after that in the 2004 Lok Sabha elections, the NDA alliance was defeated, Naidu had lost the right to be a communal image of BJP and Gujarat riots. Not implemented.
In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the Congress and Chandrababu Naidu’s Telugu Desam Party (TDP) are together. Both parties are contesting Telangana assembly elections. The next year, the Andhra Pradesh assembly and the Lok Sabha elections together have agreed between them. Even if the Economic Times quoted the sources quoted by sources, the Congress is not completely convinced about Chandrababu Naidu. Rather it is only a matter of concern. Especially in the Congress unit of Andhra Pradesh, Naidu is repeated.
According to the newspaper, the concern of Congress is the hyperactivity of Chandrababu Naidu. Earlier he was convinced that Naidu might have come with the Congress and accepted his leadership in non-BJP coalition. But this perception seems shaky because Naidu is increasingly joining the Congress as well as with other parties. It has started to appear that they may also present their claims in parallel to the leadership of the Congress leadership to lead the opposition coalition.
Chandrababu Nayudu is himself a self-appointed family member. The parties they are converging are also separatist-minded familyist parties who are eager to make the country crave for split power.
The Karnataka Congress government had also introduced the format of Agal flag for Karnataka. Mamta Banerjee called the exercise of every year of the army in toll plaza in Calcutta as a coup also. Similarly, following the same Mamata Banerjee today, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Naidu has announced that he will not let the Constitutional independent body of India run the CBI. What is the separation of this kind of thinking, the power that divides the country into pieces, the extent to which the support of the public will be available to the loyalist families?

The Thakur army of Congress leader, Ameesh Thakur, is being accused of spreading violence in Gujarat. After a rape of a 14-month-old girl allegedly by a person working in a Gujarat state of Bihar, violence spread in other parts of the state spread like a fire in the forest.
To spread this flame in Bihar after Madhya Pradesh, Bihar’s Congress in-charge Shakti Singh Gohil, who is from Gujarat, has left his three-day visit to Bihar to go to protect his junior colleague, Ameesh Thakur and his colleagues. .

Gohil blamed the BJP and the Sangh Parivar for violence and Vijay convicted the Rupani government. But when asked about the role of Thakur Army, he said that neither Ampeesh Thakur nor his Thakur organization was involved in attacks on North Indians.
Gohil was in Muzaffarpur and wherever he went, he was asked questions about the attacks in Gujarat.
Gohil said that Gujarat was “for all” and people of Bihar were a property for the state and the alleged role of Alappesh Thakur has troubled them.
J.D. (U) leader K.C. Tyagi demanded immediate arrest of Alupesh Thakur and ban on Thakur army, he accused Congress of spreading hatred against North Indians. JD (U) General Secretary asked the Congress high command to remove Alpesh and Gohil from Bihar’s responsibilities and prevent them from going to the state.
On October 3, a mob allegedly involved in the members of the Thakur community engaged in barbarity in the Chandlodiya area of Ahmedabad, which demanded the people of northern India to leave the city.
On September 28, a 14-month-old girl was allegedly raped in a village near Himmatnagar town of Sabarkantha district, about 100 km from Ahmedabad. The victim belonged to the Thakur community.
The PTI report said that after being awarded the rape accused Bihar, the Kshatriya Thakur army said that the workers of other states should not be given jobs in Gujarat.
Thakur claimed that he had never asked the Kshatriya army to join the violence or to attack the Gujratis.
The case of escaping from Gujarat, the Congress leader has been accused of violence – the issue of threatening the people of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh in Gujarat is becoming increasingly prominent. On the one hand, while BJP and JDU have blamed the Congress for this, the Congress has asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to answer the matter. In the meantime, there are many allegations of inciting violence against Congress legislator, Amaresh Thakore.
JD-U wrote a letter to Rahul Gandhi and JD Spokesperson Neeraj Kumar on Monday wrote to the Congress president in a letter that on one side you nominate his legislator, Amrishesh Thakore, co-incharge of the Bihar Congress and on the other side his army is’ Gujarat Kshatriya The Thakor army is firing people from Bihar from Gujarat. He said in the letter, “The development that is being seen in Gujarat today is not only the result of the blood and sweat of people of the whole country but also of Bihari.
On this case, the videos of Alappesh Thakur have also come out, in which they are telling the outsiders responsible for the crime, while UP is also responsible for Bihar people for rising unemployment.
The BJP said, Congress behind the Gujarat violence- BJP has said Congress is responsible for the violence of Gujarat. Senior party leader Giriraj Singh said that it is a conspiracy of Congressional conspiracy. He said that the people of Congress are engaged in breaking the whole country. Giriraj said that everything is being done by the army of Alpesh. In the same place, Patir leader Hardik Patel also condemned the incident and demanded that criminals should be given a severe punishment.
JD Spokesman targeted Congress, said that MLA Alappus is constantly rallying venom against North Indians, rallies, but Congress is not able to take disciplinary action against them.
    Claim to be constantly migrating
Let us know that after the incident of rape from a 14-year-old girl in Gujarat, people from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh are being targeted, due to which the people of northern India are fleeing from Gujarat. Shyamsingh Thakur, President of North India Development Council, a organization of migrant workers, claimed that earning two rakes from UP and Bihar has forced more than 50,000 people who went to Gujarat to flee.
