  • PM Requests Supporters To Remove ‘Modi Ka Parivar’ Suffix From Social Media Handles |

New Delhi: Thanking millions of his supporters for lending massive support during the just-concluded Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday urged them to remove ‘Modi Ka Parivar’ from their social media profiles, asserting that the message of “everyone being one family has been effectively conveyed”. “Through the election campaign, people across India added ‘Modi Ka Parivar’ to their social media as a mark of affection towards me. I derived a lot of strength from it,” PM Modi posted on X.

The slogan had found a strong resonance on the ground and struck a right chord with lakhs of citizens over the past few months after PM Modi, while responding to RJD chief Lalu Prasad’s taunting remarks on not having a family, declared that the whole country and its 140 crore citizens are his family.

On Tuesday, PM Modi thanked the people of India for giving the NDA a majority for the third consecutive time, saying that it is “a record of sorts” and has given the BJP-led NDA government the mandate to keep working for the betterment of the nation.

“With the message of all of us being one family having been effectively conveyed, I would once again thank the people of India and request that you may now remove ‘Modi Ka Parivar’ from your social media properties. The display name may change, but our bond as one Parivar striving for India’s progress remains strong and unbroken,” he said.

Several apps, merchandise, and even songs with ‘Main hoon Modi Ka Parivar’ theme have been launched in the past few months with all BJP leaders, ministers, and supporters updating their social media profiles by putting ‘Modi Ka Parivar’ next to their name.

Congress’ Exit Poll Debate Boycott: The BJP has showered the Congress party with cutting remarks since the grand old party announced its decision to not participate in the exit poll debates shows. Home Minister Amit Shah took a dig at Rahul Gandhi saying that his party is in ‘denial mode’. He added that this shows that the opposition has conceded its defeat.

Affirming confidence in the exit polls Shah said that the exit poll will showcase the saffron party alliance getting the ‘400-paar’ remark. The Congress does not have the courage to take questions from the media, so it is dismissing the entire exit poll exercise as meaningless, he added.

He further said that the Congress campaigned through the polls claiming it would get a majority. However, it now realizes the reality and knows it faces a rout in the exit polls to be broadcast after the elections tomorrow.

He questioned whether the Congress was suggesting that there existed a large conspiracy involving millions of voters, all aimed at ridiculing the party when the actual results were revealed on June 4th. He remarked that it didn’t suit India’s oldest political party to act like a child whose toy had been taken away. He further added that one would anticipate a certain level of maturity from the largest political party in the opposition.

Congress’s decision to not participate in Exit Polls, on the eve of Phase 7 polling, is an unequivocal confirmation that the Congress has conceded the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. It is not surprising, since the Congress usually opts out when it doesn’t expect results to go in its…
