Former actor and model Celina Jaitly has taken legal action, filing a domestic violence case against her husband, Peter Haag. The actress, previously known for sharing affectionate family moments on social media, has now revealed experiencing significant “atrocities and abandonment.” This revelation has come as a shock to many of her followers and the public. Jaitly, who once described Haag as a “thorough gentleman,” is now at the center of a domestic dispute.

Peter Haag, an Austrian-born hotelier, has carved out a successful career in the international hospitality industry. His professional journey has seen him work with prominent hotel chains in Austria and hold leadership positions in Singapore. He later expanded his entrepreneurial endeavors to Dubai, contributing to the growth of Emaar Hospitality Group as a brand strategist. While his exact net worth is not independently verified, reports suggest it could be substantial.

Jaitly has released a public statement detailing her ordeal. She spoke of facing the “strongest most turbulent storm of my life” without her usual support system, including her parents and brother. Jaitly expressed feelings of betrayal, stating that “people I trusted walked away” and “promises I believed in broke in silence.” Despite these challenges, she declared her resilience, identifying herself as a “soldier’s daughter” raised on courage and grit. She emphasized her determination to fight for her children, her dignity, and her brother, confirming that a domestic violence complaint has been lodged.

Her statement also highlighted the crucial role of her legal representatives, Karanjawala & Co, who have provided her with the necessary support and protection during this difficult time. Jaitly noted that the matter is sub judice, preventing further public comment but assuring that official information will be channeled through her legal team. She concluded with a powerful message of reclaiming her life and rising above the adversity.

Celina Jaitly and Peter Haag have been married since 2010 and have three sons together.

Rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has been a subject of public discussion recently. Following his conviction on October 3rd on charges related to prostitution, Combs was sentenced to over four years…

Rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has been a subject of public discussion recently. Following his conviction on October 3rd on charges related to prostitution, Combs was sentenced to over four years in prison. The sentence was handed down by Judge Arun Subramanian, who is of Indian descent. Judge Subramanian emphasized that the sentence was necessary to establish accountability and send a strong message to society.

Arun S. Subramanian was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, in 1979. His parents are of Indian origin. He has built a distinguished legal career through his hard work and merit. His father was a control systems engineer, and his mother worked as a bookkeeper.

Subramanian graduated from Case Western Reserve University and earned a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from Columbia Law School in 2004. He began his legal journey with clerkships under Judge Dennis Jacobs (US Court of Appeals, Second Circuit) and Judge Gerard E. Lynch (US District Court, Southern District of New York). He also served as a clerk to Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

In 2007, he joined the New York law firm Susman Godfrey LLP, where he worked until 2023, eventually becoming a partner. During his career, he secured over $1 billion in recoveries for clients, represented victims of child pornography trafficking, and fought consumer rights cases.

Subramanian was nominated as a federal judge by former President Joe Biden in 2022, on the recommendation of Senator Chuck Schumer. In 2023, he became the first South Asian judge to be appointed to the Southern District Court of New York.

According to reports, Judge Subramanian clarified that the sentence aimed to send a message about the severe consequences of exploitation and violence against women. Considering the time already served, Combs will now spend an additional 36 months in prison and pay a $500,000 fine.

Subramanian acknowledged Combs as a famous and “iconic” artist, but he deemed the harsh sentence necessary given his history of sexual and physical violence. He dismissed the claims by Combs’ defense team that his “freak-offs” were consensual.

The judge stated that, given the increasing sexual violence in society, a significant sentence was necessary to send the message that those who exploit women will face real accountability. Subramanian rebuked Combs, stating that his crimes were serious and that his violence, pressure, and abuse had ruined the lives of the women who loved and trusted him. He also advised Combs to use his fame for good works.

Before the sentencing, Combs spoke in court for the first time in over a year. He apologized to Cassandra Ventura and the woman who testified as “Jane.” Combs expressed deep regret for failing as a father, losing his freedom, and damaging his image and business.

Combs stated, “I truly apologize for everything, regardless of what people say.” He also stated that the hardest part for him was remaining silent and not expressing genuine remorse for his crimes until then.

Following the launch of Operation Sindoor by India against Pakistan after an attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, a 19-year-old student from Pune posted content critical of the operation on May 7th. The post was later deleted, and an apology was issued. The student subsequently filed a petition to have the case dismissed. The Bombay High Court has offered a verbal observation on the matter. The next hearing in the case is scheduled for two weeks from now.

The court stated that the case against the 19-year-old student cannot be closed solely because she deleted her social media post and apologized. The bench, comprising Chief Justice Chandrasekhar and Justice Gautam Ankhad, stated that the FIR cannot be quashed simply because the accused is a bright student who has achieved good marks in examinations.

A bizarre case has come to light at the Chhattisgarh State Women’s Commission. A 28-year-old woman from Raipur has accused a 17-year-old minor boy from Balodabazar of sexual exploitation. In her complaint to the commission, the woman demanded a compensation of 50 lakh rupees and also expressed her desire to marry the boy.

The hearing of the case took place in the presence of the commission’s chairperson, Kiran Mai Nayak. During the hearing, documents related to the teenager’s school, birth certificate, and Aadhaar card were presented before the commission, which made it clear that the accused boy is currently 17 years old and a minor. On this basis, the commission considered that the matter was outside the jurisdiction of the Women’s Commission and it would be appropriate to send it to the Child Protection Commission.

Two months ago, a complaint was filed against the woman in the Child Protection Commission by the minor’s father. When questioned by the commission, the woman stated that she was 28 years old and also mentioned that she was initially unaware that the boy was a minor. According to the woman, she found out about the boy’s actual age in February when she went to the Purani Basti police station in Raipur.

According to the information, the boy is a resident of Balodabazar and had come to Raipur to play cricket. There, he met this woman, and love developed between the two. It is alleged that during this time, physical relations also occurred. Later, the woman filed a complaint with the commission alleging that the boy had sexually exploited her and that she should now receive a compensation of 50 lakh rupees. She also expressed her desire to marry the boy.

What did the Women’s Commission say?

However, after carefully listening to the woman’s claims, the commission made it clear that since the boy is a minor, the Women’s Commission cannot dispose of this case. All documents related to the case will be sent to the Child Protection Commission, and further action will be taken from there.

During the hearing, the commission reprimanded the woman, stating that she had relationships with a minor and was later demanding marriage and compensation. The commission called this inappropriate behavior. The woman clarified that she did not know the boy’s age earlier, and she realized the situation only after this fact came to light.

This case has now been sent to the Child Protection Commission. The commission clarified that considering the age of the minor, it is beyond the purview of the Women’s Commission to decide on such allegations and disputes. Further investigation and resolution of this case will now be done by the Child Protection Commission.

A startling incident has emerged from Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, where a cook helper named Ravindra Singh Chauhan, employed at a hotel, received a tax notice from the Income Tax Department demanding 46 crore rupees. The unexpected notice has upended his life, especially considering his monthly salary is only between 8,000 to 10,000 rupees. Ravindra Singh Chauhan is baffled by how this situation arose.

Ravindra Singh Chauhan, a resident of Bhind, asserts he only works as a cook. He stated that his account never saw transactions exceeding 3 lakh rupees in a year. However, he was accused of transactions totaling 46 crore rupees. He obtained his bank statements for the past five years from the Punjab National Bank branch in Bhind. The statement showed total transactions under 3 lakh rupees, which seemed odd to him. Due to this suspicion, he requested the bank manager to thoroughly investigate the matter.

Further investigation revealed that a fraudulent account existed in Ravindra Singh Chauhan’s name in Uttam Nagar, Delhi. Surprisingly, this account still held 12.5 lakh rupees. The inquiry revealed that during his time at a toll company, his supervisor had taken his documents under the guise of PF and opened the fake account. It was through this account that the massive transactions occurred.

After lodging complaints with the police station and other agencies without any assistance, Ravindra Singh Chauhan has now approached the Gwalior High Court. It has also come to light that two accounts are open in Ravindra’s name in Bhind and Delhi. The Delhi account is associated with a trading company. The outcome of his appeal to the High Court and whether he will receive relief from the Income Tax Department’s hefty notice remains to be seen.

Supreme Court Justice Vikram Nath humorously acknowledged the unexpected source of his international fame. Speaking at the “Regional Conference on Human-Wildlife Conflict” in Thiruvananthapuram, he explained how a high-profile case involving stray dogs in Delhi brought him global attention. Justice Nath stated that he is grateful to the stray dogs for making him known worldwide, highlighting his role in the three-member bench that presided over the significant case. He noted that his recognition now extends beyond legal circles to include broader civil society, crediting the case with this shift. He also mentioned receiving messages of support from dog lovers and, humorously, from dogs themselves. He expressed gratitude to the Chief Justice of India, B. R. Gavai, for assigning him the case. During the ‘Law Asia POLA Summit,’ he was asked about the case by heads of foreign lawyers’ associations, which made him feel proud of his international recognition. The bench, led by Justice Nath, stayed an order banning the release of stray dogs caught in Delhi-NCR, mandating their return to their original locations post-vaccination and sterilization. The case was assigned to Justice Nath amidst widespread opposition to the initial order, which was deemed inhumane and impractical. Justice Nath’s bench formulated a balanced solution. Justice Vikram Nath is in line to become the next Chief Justice of India in 2027, following Justice Surya Kant.
