    A new trailer of Night Shyamalan’s upcoming film Knock At The Cabin, was released by the makers on social media. The film is set to hit the theatres on February 3, 2023.

    The film is based on the 2018 horror novel The Cabin at the End of the World. Knock At The Cabin stars Dave Bautista, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Abby Quinn, and Rupert Grint. The actors star as armed strangers who are holding a family hostage until they decide to give up one of their members as a sacrifice to prevent an apocalypse.

    “Here is our final trailer for #KnockAtTheCabin! I’ve never worked so hard on a film. The crew and cast gave their all and made something extra special. We all can not wait to see you in the theatres on February 3rd,” Night Shyamalan wrote.

    Set against the backdrop of a lonely cabin in the woods, this film is the second of Shyamalan to receive an R rating. Night Shyamalan has directed and produced the film along with Marc Bienstock and Ashwin Rajan. The film is executive produced by Steven Schneider, Christos V. Konstantakopoulos, and Ashley Fox.

    Things take a dark turn when they are hunted down by a group of what seems to be a cult. The film is an adaptation of Paul G Tremblay’s novel Cabin at the End of the World.

    The film stars Dave Bautista, Rupert Grint, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Ben Aldridge, and Jonathan Groff. The home invasion film is currently scheduled to release on 3 February 2023.

    M Night Shyamalan, known for horror/thriller classics like Signs, Split, and The Sixth Sense, reportedly wrote and direct the film. The filmmaker is also producing it under his production company Blinding Edge Pictures along with Universal Pictures.

    M Night Shyamalan’s upcoming film titled Knock At The Cabin is confirmed to be an adaptation of the horror novel, Cabin At the End Of The World. The novel, written by author Paul Tremblay, revolves around a family vacationing at a remote cabin and ending up being visited by a group of mysterious strangers.

    The novel is notable for winning the Bram Stoker award from Horror Writers Association in 2019.  Shyamalan had earlier announced the wrap-up of the film on Twitter.

    Following the release of the film’s plot description, there was a discussion online about the story being similar to the novel but the author remained tight-lipped. 

    Now, following the director’s update about the completion of the shoot, the author officially confirmed the news about the adaptation.

  • Dave Bautista to feature in M. Night Shyamalan’s ‘Knock at the Cabin’

    WASHINGTON: Hollywood star Dave Bautista is teaming up with the king of twists and turns, M. Night Shyamalan, for the director’s new film ‘Knock at the Cabin’.

    As per The Hollywood Reporter, Shyamalan will write and direct the Universal film which will release in theatres on February 3, 2023.

    ‘Knock at the Cabin’ continues Shyamalan’s lengthy partnership with the Hollywood studio Universal, which has released ‘Old’ (2021), ‘Glass’ (2019), ‘Split’ (2017) and ‘The Visit’ (2015).

    Shyamalan will also produce the upcoming project with Ashwin Rajan under the filmmaker’s Blinding Edge Pictures banner alongside Marc Bienstock and Steven Schneider. However, no other details regarding the movie are currently known.

    Since transitioning from the world of wrestling, Bautista has become a go-to actor for a number of auteurs. James Gunn brought him into higher public awareness by casting him as Drax in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ (2014), while Denis Villeneuve tapped him for a small role in ‘Blade Runner 2049’ (2017) before putting him in ‘Dune’ (2021).

    In March, Bautista debuted his biggest role to date when he led Zack Snyder’s ‘Army of the Dead’.

    Bautista is currently shooting for Gunn’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’, which may be his final film in which he plays Drax, after reprising the role for ‘Avengers: Infinity War’, ‘Avengers: Endgame’ and the upcoming ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’.

    He is also slated to appear in ‘Knives Out 2’ and is attached to a buddy cop film also starring Jason Momoa and set up at MGM. 

  • M. Night Shyamalan’s upcoming thriller gets its title

    WASHINGTON: Ace filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan’s next movie title has been revealed. The official title is ‘Knock at the Cabin’.

    Universal Pictures, the studio backing the upcoming thriller, shared the news on its official Twitter handle.

    The movie, which is now releasing on February 3, 2023, was earlier scheduled to arrive on February 17, 2023.

    As per The Hollywood Reporter, ‘Knock at the Cabin’ continues the prolific partnership between Universal and Shyamalan. Universal partnered with him on his last four films, ‘Old’ (2021), ‘Glass’ (2019), ‘Split’ (2017) and ‘The Visit’ (2015).

    In August, the director teased fans about the upcoming release, posting a picture on his Twitter handle showing off an unlabeled binder that allegedly held the script.

    “The next one. On third draft. Super tight. Under a 100 pages,” he tweeted at that time.

    Shyamalan’s most recent offering, ‘Old’, earned USD 90.1 million at the global box office amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
