The Kisan Samridhi Yojana of the government is bringing prosperity in the lives of small and marginal farmers. Farmers who are dependent on rain are now able to irrigate fields whenever they want. Not only this, hundreds of farmers who are doing single crop farming are now moving towards economic progress by doing perennial farming. The prosperity scheme has brought happiness in the life of one such woman farmer.
Female farmer Savita Tiwari of village Dharampur in Rajnandgaon block told that she is 12th pass and she has special interest in farming. The farmer said that the Kisan Samriddhi Yojana is a commendable work done by the Government of Chhattisgarh for small and marginal farmers. It is not enough for small farmers to be able to afford the cost for tube well mining and pumping in the field. But with the Kisan Samridhi Yojana, this work became easier.
Government grant of 25 thousand rupees was received for mining and pump installation. At present, adequate amount of irrigation water is available in the field of women farmers and they are also taking advantage of the gram crop in the rabi crop after paddy. This gave them a new opportunity to grow further in agriculture with additional income.
