In the same vein, Collector PS Elma has given instructions to the Assistant Registrar Co-operative Societies, Nodal Officer of District Co-operative Central Bank and District Food Officer to collect the gunny bags of PDS. Due to the prevailing corona pandemic at present, it is possible that in the Kharif year 2021-22 like last year, the supply of new jute gunny bags by the Food and Public Distribution Department, Government of India may not be as per the requirement and demand for the purchase of paddy in the state. In the above situation, as the supply of new jute gunny bags is relatively less, it will have to be met from the jute gunny bags of PDS. For this, after the distribution of ration in the month of April 2021 in the fair price shops, it is necessary to keep the jute gunny bags of PDS saving safely. In the above situation, it has been directed under the Chhattisgarh Public Distribution System Control Order 2016 that after distribution of food grains in PDS gunny bags available at the government fair price shop level, the sale of paddy for other work other than use for purchase work will be stopped with immediate effect till further orders. has been installed. Therefore, PDS gunny bags will be used only for paddy procurement in the Kharif marketing year 2021-22. The responsibility of collecting PDS gunny bags in the district and monitoring, collecting, maintaining and distributing it from time to time will be the responsibility of the District Marketing Officer and committees, the authorized agency for the purchase of paddy of the state government. Appropriate orders and guidelines should be issued by the Assistant Registrar Co-operative Societies regarding the safe keeping of PDS gunny bags in the societies.
