    Collector Mahadev Kavre took a meeting of the operators of rice millers in connection with the lifting of paddy. He said that paddy is being purchased from farmers through 30 paddy purchase centers. 9 days and time left for purchasing the remaining paddy. The operators of the rice millers have been asked to deposit gunny bags in the given target. He said that 250 bales were to be received from gunny millers. Along with this, lifting of gunny bags from PDS shops is also being deposited in paddy buying centers so that there is no problem in procuring paddy from farmers. He has asked the Raimilars operators to take up the paddy seriously through the society. The DO is harvested for as much paddy uptake. It has also been asked to lift the paddy according to the same goal. He has urged all rice millers operators to cooperate in raising paddy. Food Officer GS Kanwar, DMO Chandrapratap Singh, Manager of Civil Supplies Department Manoj Kumar Minj and Director of Rice Meal were present on the occasion. Food official said that 803777.6 hectare was purchased in the last year 2019-20. The estimated paddy purchase in the year 2020-21 is 858000 quintals, so far the total purchase has been 882436 quintals. He said that 9 days are left to purchase paddy from farmers, there is a possibility of purchasing 11 Lakha quintal paddy in the district.

  • Collector inspected paddy procurement center of Sonkari, Sanna, Pandrapath

    Collector Shri Mahadev Kavre on 13 January 2021 conducted a surprise inspection of the purchase of Sonkari of Manora Development Block, Sanna of Garden Development Block and Paddy of Pandrapath and inquired about the purchase of paddy. He said that during paddy procurement, there should not be any problem in procuring paddy from farmers. Take special care of it. It has also been asked to essentially test the paddy moisture before purchase. He said that ration of the month of February is also to be distributed in January through fair price shops so that the gunny bags can be emptied. It can be used during purchase. Collector Shri Kavre directed the Assistant Registrar that he asked to use the chopped old gunny bags kept in the society by sewing them through the group. Society manager of Sanna informed that till now 21066.00 quintal paddy has been purchased from farmers and an amount of 39676947.00 has been paid in the account of farmers. Paddy has been purchased from a total of 540 farmers, 3444 gunny bags are available in the society. Similarly, the Society Manager of Pandrapath said that 13577.20 quintal paddy has been purchased in the society so far and has paid 21350828.42 in the account of farmers. So far, paddy has been purchased from 292 farmers and 5683 gunny bags are available in the society. So far, 7026.40 quintal paddy has been purchased in the Sonkari Society and an amount of 12298746.56 has been paid to the farmers. So far, paddy has been purchased from 175 farmers and available in 732 gunny bags in the society. Assistant Registrar Shri B. Ekka was present on this occasion.
