Now OCM Chowk of Rajdhani Raipur Will be known as Vidyacharan Shukla. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Saturday evening inaugurated the martyr Late Vidyacharan Shukla Chowk in Jhiram Valley. On this occasion, he unveiled a plaque commemorating the martyrs of Jheeram, established in the name of the late Vidyacharan Shukla at a cost of Rs 55 lakhs on behalf of Raipur Smart City Limited. The Chief Minister also dedicated beautification works in the Chowk and attractive fountains installed there to the people of Raipur. The Chief Minister recalled the personality and life of late Vidyacharan Shukla at the inauguration program. He said that Raipur and late Vidyacharan Shukla have been with Choli-Daman. Due to him, Chhattisgarh got recognition in the whole country and the world. He has also contributed significantly in the creation of Chhattisgarh state. Whether he was in the post or not, the late Shukla, he was always dedicated and active for public welfare. We can learn many things from his life.

He said that the late Vidyacharan Shukla was a militant leader. He has an important role in the development of Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. The chowk has been set up in his name in the city to cherish his memories and contributions.
