“It’s been an incredible 20 years representing my country, playing the game I’ve loved since I was a kid. I’m going to miss walking out for England so much.”But I know the time is right to step aside and let others realize their dreams just like I got to, because there is no greater feeling,” he added.

Affectionately nicknamed ‘Jimmy’, Anderson holds the record for playing the most Test matches by any England cricketer. He ranks second on the all-time list of Test appearances, with only India’s legendary Sachin Tendulkar (200) ahead of him. He was also part of a record-breaking bowling partnership for England alongside Stuart Broad, who retired last year.
