Bhupesh Baghel during his stay in Assam met representatives of various industrial organizations and industries in the North East region to promote capital investment in manufacturing and allied sectors in Chhattisgarh in Guwahati. The Chief Minister said that due to the new industry and business friendly policies of Chhattisgarh, the economy of the state has grown considerably due to the introduction of thriving core sector industries like agriculture, iron, steel, cement and thermal power and small and medium scale industries. Representatives of the PHD Chamber of Commerce were the Chairman and Managing Director of North East Region, NERAMAC (North Eastern Regional Agricultural Marketing Corporation) Mr. Manoj Kumar Das and Deputy Director, PhD Chamber North East Region, Shri S. K. Under the leadership of Hazarika, the Chief Minister met Mr. Baghel and discussed the possibilities of capital investment in Chhattisgarh. During the meeting, Mr. Pranjal Konwar, Chief Operating Officer, IIM Calcutta Innovation Park Incubator informed that they are already working with 36 INC (Chhattisgarh State Incubator). Mr. Ashish Kumar Bajaj, Director of Green Valley Rice Tech Pvt Ltd, also showed his interest in investing in Chhattisgarh in many areas. The representatives of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) met the Chief Minister under the leadership of Mr. Abhijeet Barua, Co-Chairman of North East Council and Mr. Shanta Sarma, Director of CII. During this, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel highlighted the state government’s policy of promoting industry and trade in Chhattisgarh and future plans to attract capital investment. Mr. Biswajit Hazarika, Director of Federation of Industry and Commerce and North Eastern Region, Indian Commerce and Industry Federation (FICCI) representative and BMG Informatics co-founders Mr. Joydeep Gupta and Mr. Monojit Bhattacharjee also met the Chief Minister in Guwahati.
