In a major push for regional development, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel is set to visit Jamnagar on March 19, bringing gifts of progress to the city and district. His itinerary blends farmer outreach with the launch of 57 ambitious projects amounting to Rs 412.61 crore, signaling the state’s unwavering focus on holistic growth.

The visit kicks off at 10 AM with the CM’s arrival at Jamnagar airport, followed by a visit to Hapa APMC. Here, Patel will inaugurate an Rs 85 lakh AC canteen providing affordable, hygienic food at Rs 35 per meal, alongside a Rs 65 lakh guest house. These farmer-centric facilities reflect the government’s empathy for the agrarian sector.

Moving to the Town Hall for the main ceremony, the CM will e-inaugurate 28 projects worth Rs 153 crore and e-lay foundations for 29 more at Rs 259.61 crore. Targeting infrastructure, health, education, environment, and housing across urban-rural divides, these efforts promise lasting impact.

A highlight is the Oxygen Park, a Rs 144.85 lakh themed green space in Ambavijay Society, enabled by Jam Saheb Shatrushalya Singh’s donation of over 16,000 sqm land. With 100+ trees, chakra-themed walking paths, CO2-efficient C-4 plants, and amenities like lighting, parking, and water systems, it will combat pollution while fostering wellness.

Skill development shines through the Rs 981 lakh ITI in Gulabnagar, expanding from current 123 trainees to accommodate 350+ youths with advanced trades like solar tech and welding. Facilities include workshops, labs, and counseling centers to bridge the employability gap.

Housing renewal in Sadhana Colony will see 372 unsafe structures rebuilt for Rs 42.55 crore, prioritizing resident safety. As Jamnagar evolves into a beacon of modernity and sustainability, CM Patel’s visit marks a pivotal chapter in Gujarat’s development narrative.

In a hands-on approach to development, Bihar’s Chief Minister Nitish Kumar descended upon Bakhtiarpur in Patna district on March 7, scrutinizing multiple under-construction landmarks. His message was clear: expedite delivery to transform lives.

Kicking off with the railway overbridge near Bakhtiarpur Engineering College, Kumar examined the two-lane structure linking NH-30’s four-laner to SH-106. Set for inauguration this month, it promises to knit together vital routes, slashing commute times for commuters, college-goers, and Patliputra University staff. The CM underscored how this connectivity will propel regional progress.

At Ganesh Higher Secondary School, the focus shifted to education. The gleaming five-floor edifice with 45 rooms aims to upgrade learning facilities. Kumar, who studied here in his youth, evoked personal anecdotes from the aging structure and pushed for rapid completion. He also greenlit swift finishing touches for the adjacent park honoring martyr Dumar Singh.

The day’s centerpiece was the Ganga-spanning Bakhtiarpur (Karjan)-Tajpur four-lane bridge, a 51.26-km corridor including a 5.51-km river crossing. Traversing from Athmalgola block’s Karjan to Kalyanpur and onto Samastipur’s NH-28, it’s poised to redefine Bihar’s transport map. By year’s end, it will divert traffic from overburdened Gandhi and Rajendra bridges, opening doors to key destinations across districts. Road Secretary Pankaj Pal detailed brisk advancements, but Kumar insisted on injecting more speed.

Crowds cheered the CM’s arrival, hailing his commitment to infrastructure. Key attendees included ex-MLA Gyanendra Singh, CM secretaries, Bihar State Highway Development Corporation MD, DM, and SP. Bakhtiarpur buzzes with optimism, signaling Bihar’s infrastructure renaissance.

In a pointed attack on fiscal federalism, Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara declared Wednesday that southern states are victims of systemic bias in fund devolution. The remarks came hours after CM Siddaramaiah backed Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin’s advocacy for robust Centre-state ties, zeroing in on skewed GST compensation and infrastructure largesse.

Major projects—think high-speed rail corridors and massive airports—routinely bypass the south, landing in northern laps despite robust economic contributions from states like Karnataka, he lamented. ‘We fork over the second-largest GST slice, yet get crumbs in return. This collective outcry demands justice,’ Parameshwara told journalists in Bengaluru.

Countering barbs over the state’s debt trajectory, the minister laid out the numbers. ‘Fiscal prudence is our mantra. Borrowing stays under the 25% threshold, making us southern India’s most conservative. Maharashtra’s 95 lakh crore debt pile dwarfs ours—data doesn’t lie.’

On brewing rumors of a Siddaramaiah-Shivakumar rift, Parameshwara waved them off. The deputy CM’s dinner invite to party leaders? ‘A constructive move in democracy’s playbook, echoing practices since the 1952 polls. It promotes maturity and cohesion.’

Parameshwara’s salvo underscores a deepening north-south divide, fueled by perceptions of unequal resource flows. With southern economies powering national growth, these allegations could reshape coalition dynamics and budget negotiations ahead, urging a reevaluation of India’s federal compact for equitable progress.

In a major push for Tamil Nadu’s development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday launched projects exceeding Rs 4,400 crore in Madurai, describing the ceremony as a glorious chapter in the state’s progress.

Speaking to a cheering crowd, he outlined how these projects would enhance connectivity, accelerate economic growth, create employment, and improve living standards for lakhs. Farmers gain better market access via upgraded roads, tourists and devotees enjoy smoother journeys, and industries benefit from swift logistics.

The Centre’s focus on highways has been transformative: over 4,000 km constructed in Tamil Nadu since 2014. Today marked the foundation laying for two critical national highways.

PM Modi spotlighted revolutionary changes in Indian Railways, particularly in Tamil Nadu, where allocations jumped from Rs 880 crore yearly pre-2014 to a projected Rs 7,600 crore in 2026-27—almost nine times higher. The iconic Pamban Bridge, India’s pioneering vertical-lift sea bridge he inaugurated recently, has become a tourist hotspot symbolizing engineering prowess.

Nine Vande Bharat and nine Amrit Bharat trains now operate in the state, their coaches built at Chennai’s Integral Coach Factory, fueling self-reliance and youth employment under ‘Make in India’.

Infra allocations for Tamil Nadu have tripled over ten years, and the upcoming budget continues this momentum with bullet train links from Bengaluru to Chennai and Chennai to Hyderabad—game-changers for South India’s economy. The state joins the ‘Rare Earth Corridor’ for cutting-edge manufacturing and innovation.

Celebrating Tamil Nadu’s cultural legacy, Modi vowed to elevate sites like Adichanallur to world heritage status. With Vision 2047 for a Viksit Bharat, Tamil Nadu stands as a cornerstone. The Centre pledges unwavering support for equitable development and the state’s rise.

Indian Railways is accelerating its transformation with Thursday’s approval of Rs 871 crore worth of strategic infrastructure upgrades in key zones. The focus: modernizing coach maintenance ecosystems, decongesting busy lines, removing hurdles, and scaling up transport capacities for passengers and goods alike.

Kicking off in Rajasthan, Rs 174.26 crore funds Phase-I coach maintenance at Shri Ganganagar, tailored for LHB coaches and Vande Bharat trains. This is part of a broader drive to equip the network for cutting-edge rolling stock.

Close by, Lalgarh’s Phase-II expansion gets Rs 139.68 crore, addressing surging maintenance needs from expanding Vande Bharat and LHB operations in Bikaner division.

In Kerala, a game-changer: Rs 450.59 crore to double the 21.10 km Turavur-Mararikulam line under Southern Railway. Vital for the Ernakulam-Alappuzha-Kayankulam route, it will streamline heavy passenger and cargo movements linked to ports.

Eastern Railway tackles Asansol’s operational woes with a Rs 107.10 crore, 4.75 km Kalipahari bypass. Daily savings include 90 minutes for freight and 30 for coaches, slashing jams, boosting throughput, and optimizing turnaround in a high-traffic zone.

As India’s rail backbone evolves, these investments signal a robust strategy for efficiency, reliability, and growth in the years ahead.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath celebrated the upcoming inauguration of the Meerut Metro and Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat rapid transit corridor as a landmark achievement in the state’s transformative growth…

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath celebrated the upcoming inauguration of the Meerut Metro and Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat rapid transit corridor as a landmark achievement in the state’s transformative growth story. The events, headlined by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Meerut on Sunday, signal accelerated progress toward a connected and prosperous future.

In a post on X, CM Yogi welcomed PM Modi, stating that the leader would greenlight the Meerut Metro and Namo Bharat train, infusing fresh momentum into UP’s development narrative. The district stands to gain from projects totaling around Rs 12,930 crore, spanning various welfare and infrastructure domains.

The highlight is the 82-kilometer Namo Bharat corridor, which PM Modi will dedicate to the nation alongside the launch of RRTS’s remaining segments. This initiative is expected to revolutionize travel between Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Meerut, slashing journey times and enhancing multimodal transport efficiency.

Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Seth praised the move on X, emphasizing its potential to spur regional economic ties, business expansion, investments, and employment generation through faster connectivity.

PM Modi previewed his itinerary on social media, underscoring the government’s resolve to bolster rail networks nationwide. Arriving in Meerut around midday, he will unveil the high-speed Meeruto Metro and Namo Bharat train before proceeding with corridor dedication and project launches.

These developments arrive at a pivotal time for Uttar Pradesh, where infrastructure investments are reshaping urban landscapes and rural linkages alike. The Namo Bharat system’s semi-high-speed capabilities, combined with metro extensions, promise reduced congestion, greener commutes, and economic ripple effects felt far beyond the corridor.

As Modi flags off these icons of modernity, Uttar Pradesh reaffirms its role as India’s growth engine, blending revolutionary heritage with cutting-edge transit solutions.

In a vibrant address from Kharagpur, senior BJP figure Dilip Ghosh described the India-Pakistan T20 World Cup showdown as an event that transcends sport, fueling national passion every time. ‘It’s…

In a vibrant address from Kharagpur, senior BJP figure Dilip Ghosh described the India-Pakistan T20 World Cup showdown as an event that transcends sport, fueling national passion every time. ‘It’s pure adrenaline,’ he said, evoking memories of past epic encounters.

Ghosh didn’t hold back against the state administration, accusing them of flying in Messi to manipulate voter sentiment during elections. Despite the results falling short, he demanded accountability: ‘Taxpayers’ money spent on this must be refunded—no excuses with party coffers.’

Shifting to positives, he lauded New Delhi’s mega infrastructure initiatives. ‘Runways turned into highways, PM Modi testing them himself—remarkable progress. Locally, we’ve got a 3-km runway now a heliport. PM’s visit here would inspire everyone and highlight our region’s growth,’ Ghosh shared with optimism.

The law and order crisis in West Bengal drew sharp rebuke. ‘Crimes are surging, yet authorities watch silently as offenders enjoy ruling party patronage. The common man cowers in terror,’ he highlighted, painting a grim picture of governance failure.

Commenting on Bangladesh’s recent polls and BNP’s win, Ghosh appealed for stable, forward-looking rule. He also took aim at TMC’s religious politicking: ‘Bengal voters must decide—progress or mosque-temple games?’

Chhattisgarh’s government has provided an in-depth account of how the innovative PRAGATI digital platform is fast-tracking resolutions for pressing state concerns, crediting PM Narendra Modi’s leadership for India’s economic ascent to the fourth global spot. This tool underscores the alignment between governmental promises and actions, embodying proactive governance.

During a media briefing in Raipur’s New Circuit House, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai elaborated on PRAGATI’s scope beyond mere project reviews. It represents a paradigm shift towards efficient administration with minimal bureaucracy and maximum delivery.

Praising India’s democratic framework as an international benchmark, Sai noted the platform’s role in enhancing Centre-state synergy. With its focus on timely execution, PRAGATI ensures preemptive planning and accountability, transforming governance culture.

Nationally, it has propelled 3,300+ projects valued at ₹85 lakh crore, while optimizing 61 flagship schemes from health to housing. Grievance mechanisms across 36 domains have been fortified, streamlining public service delivery.

The state boasts 99 ongoing national projects worth ₹6.11 lakh crore, half of which are operational. PRAGATI addressed 200 Chhattisgarh-specific matters, resolving 91% successfully. Sector-wise triumphs include 24 in power, 23 in road transport, 14 railway projects, 7 coal ventures, and 9 steel initiatives.

Highlights include reviving the Bhilai Steel Plant upgrade and Lara power project after years of delay, spurring industry and employment. The Raipur-Kodebod highway’s land and supply hurdles were overcome efficiently. As Chhattisgarh demonstrates, PRAGATI is scripting a success story of collaborative, tech-driven development.
