At the prestigious Raisina Dialogue 2026, Andhra Pradesh CM N. Chandrababu Naidu delivered a stirring speech celebrating India’s cultural ethos of inclusivity and partnership. He credited these principles for fostering cooperative federalism between states and the Centre, fueling robust economic expansion.

India’s GDP is racing ahead at more than 7%, with experts eyeing double-digit figures soon, Naidu pointed out. He reserved special praise for PM Narendra Modi’s consensus-driven governance. ‘Our PM focuses on forging agreement on key matters; policy continuity ensures long-term prosperity,’ Naidu observed.

Reflecting on his vast experience in public life, Naidu advocated for stable policies that not only satisfy local interests but also earn worldwide trust. The dialogue took a sobering turn as he addressed the fertility slump in southern states, where rates have dipped to 1.5 against the ideal 2.1.

To counter this, Andhra Pradesh launched India’s first state-level population policy. Incentives include Rs 25,000 for second births and Rs 1,000 monthly for five years per third child. Naidu detailed family-friendly measures: a full year of maternity leave and paternity options, promoting equal parenting roles.

With the world facing elderly population burdens, India’s youth bulge until 2047 is a strategic asset. Naidu’s address wove economic triumphs with urgent calls for demographic equilibrium, urging collective action for India’s future dominance.

Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan is set to embark on a meaningful journey to Tamil Nadu this Sunday, February 22, engaging with the state’s vibrant historical and cultural landmarks. The centerpiece of the visit is the foundation stone laying for V.O. Chidambaram Pillai’s statue in Madurai’s Vandipuram, honoring the swadeshi movement pioneer.

The tour extends to Shivaganga, where he will pay respects at the ancient Thirukostiyur Soumya Narayana Perumal Temple and the iconic Rani Velu Nachiyar Palace, evoking memories of Tamil Nadu’s resilient fight against colonial rule.

This comes hot on the heels of his contributions to linguistic inclusivity. On Saturday, marking International Mother Language Day, Radhakrishnan launched Tamil and Gujarati editions of the Constitution and the updated Legal Terminology volume. He described these as vital steps to democratize access to India’s supreme law.

Praising the languages’ richness—Tamil’s classical stature and Gujarati’s philosophical essence—he said, ‘Mother tongue versions empower citizens, strengthening democratic roots.’ The Law Ministry earned accolades for enhancing constitutional reach.

Earlier at the National CSR Summit 2026 in Bharat Mandapam, the Vice President advocated for institutional collaborations. In India’s era of change, he noted, such unity drives national advancement.

Spotlighting a decade of Modi-led progress, Radhakrishnan celebrated India’s economic ascent, poverty alleviation for 250 million-plus people through reforms, digital leaps, and infrastructure booms. ‘The future demands robust government-industry-civil society ties,’ he asserted.

Radhakrishnan’s visit promises to blend reverence for history with a forward-looking vision, inspiring Tamil Nadu and beyond.

Bihar’s Governor Arif Mohammed Khan dropped a bombshell during the release of ‘Revolutionary Raj: Narendra Modi’s 25 Years’ by Alok Mehta, admitting he once lambasted Narendra Modi in the aftermath of the 2002 Godhra incident but flipped his stance after immersing himself in Gujarat’s ground reality.

At the Constitution Club event, Khan laid bare his story. Post-Godhra riots, he was firmly in the critic’s camp. ‘If I hadn’t stayed in Gujarat for over four months, talking to diverse communities, I’d still hold that view,’ he confessed.

What changed? Direct encounters exposed the smears against Modi as unfair. ‘He’s among the most wrongly accused leaders,’ Khan asserted. Four months on, his outlook transformed entirely, prompting him to voice support openly.

Khan depicted Modi as unflinching, deliberate, and indefatigable—a man perpetually chasing objectives without respite. The tome details Modi’s ascent from state helm to national leadership, with Amit Shah’s foreword adding weight.

Credit went to Modi for the 2019 triple talaq law, a global first in criminalizing the practice. Khan foresaw universal acclaim for this reform in decades to come.

Dignitaries including Hardeep Singh Puri, Harivansh, N.K. Singh, and K.J. Alphons graced the occasion. Puri touted India’s growth story: from fragile $2 trillion GDP in 2014 to robust $4.3 trillion, vaulting to fourth globally and eyeing third spot soon, per IMF.

This phase, he said, is extraordinary, echoing AI summit’s optimism. Khan’s account challenges entrenched narratives, highlighting empathy and evidence over distant judgments in politics.

Billionaire Mark Mobius credits India’s savvy EU trade agreement for jolting the US into finalizing its bilateral pact swiftly. In a candid interview Wednesday, the emerging markets guru unpacked how this diplomatic chess move pressured Washington.

The Modi-Trump camaraderie undoubtedly smoothed the path, Mobius noted, but he was quick to praise the negotiators’ prowess. Rejecting grand titles like ‘Father of All Trade Deals,’ he elevated the EU deal’s significance for India’s global positioning.

This independent streak—pushing EU talks despite US pendency—signaled Delhi’s leverage, compelling America to expedite. Mobius sees it as a masterclass in multi-aligned trade strategy.

India’s economic engine roars ahead. Mobius predicts third-largest economy status imminently, outpacing rivals through structural strengths. Young demographics fuel consumption booms, urbanization expands markets, and export momentum solidifies gains.

These pillars, he argues, lock in elevated growth for years. On equities, sobriety prevails: Sensex at 100,000 demands improbable 20% jumps. Investors should prioritize enduring drivers over speculative peaks, Mobius counsels.

As global headwinds loom, India’s story captivates. Mobius’ insights reaffirm why the subcontinent remains a top pick for savvy portfolios.
