Reddy’s Catch: The Indian team declared their first innings at 448 runs for 5 wickets on the third day of the Ahmedabad Test match. The West Indies needed a strong start in their second innings. However, Nitish Kumar Reddy prevented this with an impressive display of fielding. He sent West Indies opener Tagenarine Chanderpaul back to the pavilion with a sensational catch.

Reddy executed the catch in the 8th over. Mohammed Siraj bowled a short ball in that over. Tagenarine Chanderpaul, the left-handed opener, attempted a pull shot to the left of square leg. Reddy dived full-length to his left, completing a remarkable catch. Chanderpaul, who was out for a duck in the first innings, was dismissed for 8 runs off 23 balls in the second innings. Nitish Kumar Reddy is making his comeback to Test cricket after a long absence.

Reddy’s Exclusion from England Tour: Nitish Kumar Reddy was initially included in the squad for the five-match Test series against England. However, the 22-year-old sustained a knee injury during a gym training session, forcing him to miss the last two Test matches. For Reddy, who made his Test debut during the Australia tour last year, the England tour didn’t go as planned. He didn’t get a chance in the first match, but he was included in the playing eleven for the second match, replacing Shardul Thakur.

He didn’t make a significant impact in that match, scoring only 1 run in each innings and failing to take any wickets with his bowling. Despite this, he was selected for the third Test, where he took 3 wickets and scored 30 and 13 runs. He remained at the crease for a considerable time in both innings but couldn’t convert them into big scores. He did not get a chance to bat in the first innings of the first Test match against the West Indies.

West Indies captain, Roston Chase, won the toss and chose to bat first, meaning the Indian team will be bowling first.

Kuldeep Yadav is joined by Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar as the other spinners in the team. This marks Kuldeep Yadav’s return to the Indian Test team after 347 days. His last Test appearance was 11 months ago, from October 16th to 20th last year, against New Zealand in Bengaluru.

In addition to the three spinners, the Indian playing eleven includes two specialist pacers, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj. There’s also a pace-bowling all-rounder, Nitish Reddy. The opening duties will be handled by Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul.

West Indies has selected three pacers and two specialist spinners. Roston Chase leads the West Indies team.

The series will commence in New Delhi on 14th November, with Guwahati Taking care of the second test on 22nd November.

“The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is pleased to announs the schedule for team India West Indies and South Africa Across Test Mats, One-Day Internationals (ODIS), and Twenty20 Internationals (T20is), “said a statement from bcci.

The Odie Series Between India and South Africa will kickstart from November 30 onwards at Ranchi, Followed by the second and third odis at Raipur and Visakhapatnam on December 3 and 6, repervlyly.

The T20I series will start from December 9 onwards at cuttack, with the next matches taking place at New Chandigarh (December 11), Dharamsala (December 14), DHARAMSAALA (December 14), LUCKNOUNOW (Deecember 17) and Ahmedabad (Deecember 17) 19).
