  • PM Modi inaugurates Phase-I of Nagpur Metro rail project, takes train ride

    NAGPUR: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated Phase-I of the Nagpur Metro rail project and took a ride in the train.

    He also laid the foundation stone of Phase-II of the metro project in the city. The prime minister took a ride in the metro rail between Zero Mile Freedom Park and Khapri stations.

    Before boarding the train, he visited an exhibition on the project at the Zero Mile station. There are 36 stations under Phase-I of the project, which covers a distance of 40 km. This project has been developed at a cost of more than Rs 8,650 crore, officials said.

    Phase-II of the project will be developed at more than Rs 6,700 crore. It will have 32 stations and cover a distance of 43.8 km, they said.

    UJJIAN: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday inaugurated the 900 metre-long Mahakal Lok corridor built at the Mahakaleshwar temple here.

    The Mahakal Lok project cost is Rs 856 crore, with the first phase being developed for Rs 351 crore, an official said.

    Modi, accompanied by Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangu Bhai Patel and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, greeted sadhus present at the venue.

    He pressed a remote button to unveil a Shivling replica to dedicate Mahakal Lok to the nation.

    The Mahakaleshwar Temple Corridor Development Project will provide better amenities for those visiting the temple which is dedicated to Lord Shiva and houses one of the 12 Jyotirlingas (representation of Lord Shiva) in India.

    The corridor has around 108 aesthetically ornate pillars made of intricately carved sandstones that depict the Anand Tandav Swaroop (Lord Shiva’s dance form), 200 statues and murals of Lord Shiva and goddess Shakti.

    Modi offered prayers at the temple before he inaugurated the corridor project.

  • CM Bhupesh to attend International Biodiversity Day program, Gaurala Pendra will inaugurate dedicated Kovid Hospital and Lab in Marwahi district

    Bhupesh Baghel will attend the program organized on the occasion of International Biodiversity Day at 12 noon today and CM Baghel will inaugurate the dedicated Kovid Hospital and Kovid Lab in Gorella Pendra Marwahi district at 12:40 pm. Both these programs will be conducted through video conferencing at the Chief Minister’s residence office.
    The Chief Minister will felicitate institutions and individuals receiving state level awards in five categories of biodiversity at a program organized on the occasion of International Biodiversity Day.
    Chief Minister Baghel inaugurated the documentary film ‘Atith Parinde’ at the event organized on the occasion of International Biodiversity Day, as well as three books published by the State Biodiversity Board – Floral Diversity of Chhattisgarh, Butterfly of Bhoramdev Wild Life ‘and’ Snake and Others Raptiles’ Will release ‘Chhattisgarh’. Forest Minister Mohammad Akbar, Chairman State Biodiversity Board and board members will also be present at the event.

    Bhupesh Baghel will inaugurate the Mainpat Festival on 12 February. According to the scheduled program, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will depart from Police Parade Ground Raipur at 2 pm by helicopter and arrive at Mainpat in Sarguja district at 3 pm and will inaugurate the Mainpat Festival. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel will return to Raipur at 5.20 pm. The three-day festival is held from 12 to 14 February 2021 at Mainpat near Ropakhar reservoir.
