Dehradun authorities have apprehended a Bangladeshi woman residing illegally in India, reportedly using fabricated documents and a Hindu alias. The arrest occurred as part of ‘Operation Kalnemi,’ a police initiative targeting individuals with false identities.

The woman, identified as Babli Begum, 28, was found living in the Patel Nagar area under the assumed name Bhoomi Sharma. Investigations revealed she entered India illegally during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. After moving between various locations, she settled in Dehradun in 2021 and married a local man in 2022, subsequently acquiring forged Indian identification.

Authorities seized numerous counterfeit documents from her possession, including an Aadhaar card, Ayushman card, ration card, and voter ID, all issued under the name Bhoomi Sharma. A Bangladeshi identity card bearing her real name, Babli Begum, was also recovered. She faces charges for illegal residency and document fraud and has been taken into custody.

Police are actively investigating to identify and prosecute anyone who aided in the creation of these fake documents. Their commitment is to take strict action against all involved parties. This operation has led to the apprehension of 17 Bangladeshi nationals in Dehradun so far, with eight jailed for using fake documents and nine already deported.

A routine pilgrimage to Pakistan for Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Prakash Parv has turned into a complex international mystery, leaving Indian and Pakistani authorities on high alert. Sarabjit Kaur, one of 1,932 Indian Sikh pilgrims who entered Pakistan, vanished on November 13 and has not returned. Her disappearance has been compounded by shocking claims circulating from across the border, suggesting a religious conversion and a secret marriage.

Sarabjit Kaur crossed the Attari border on November 4, intending to participate in the holy observances. However, she failed to re-board the return convoy on November 13. Investigations revealed a crucial detail: she did not fill in her nationality or passport number on her immigration form, a discrepancy now seen as a significant clue.

Adding to the intrigue, a letter widely shared on social media alleges that Sarabjit Kaur has converted to Islam, married a local man named Nasir Hussain, and adopted the name Noor Hussain. Reports indicate a mosque in Sheikhupura has allegedly issued a marriage certificate for this nikah, purportedly performed with her consent before a maulvi. However, Indian intelligence agencies remain skeptical, exploring possibilities of a deliberate deception or a planned operation.

Further theories suggest a potential attempt at illegal immigration. Speculation is rife that Sarabjit’s husband has resided in the UK for two decades, and she may have disappeared to utilize the ‘dunkey route’ – illegal border crossing networks – to reach him in England via Pakistan. This could explain the omissions on her immigration forms and her decision to vanish.

The complexity deepens with the revelation of Sarabjit Kaur’s past. Police records show she faced three criminal cases, though she was acquitted in all. Her two sons also have prior cases registered under the NDPS Act. Investigators are exploring whether these past events indicate pre-existing cross-border connections or a planned disappearance.

Authorities have confirmed that there is currently no verification of the conversion or marriage claims. The investigation is ongoing, with both Indian and Pakistani intelligence agencies working to locate Sarabjit Kaur and ascertain the truth behind her vanishing act. The unfolding situation raises critical questions about her potential involvement, any coercion she may have faced, or the possibility of an elaborate scheme involving immigration or forced conversion.

A routine religious pilgrimage for Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Prakash Parv has plunged into an international mystery, sparking an alert for Indian and Pakistani authorities. Sarabjit Kaur, one of 1,932 Indian Sikh pilgrims who crossed into Pakistan, mysteriously disappeared and has not returned. Emerging claims from Pakistan suggest a religious conversion and marriage, fueling intense investigations and demands for clarity from her family.

Sarabjit entered Pakistan on November 4th. By November 13th, she was gone, vanishing without a trace from Pakistani soil. Her absence was noted when the return convoy was being assembled, prompting immediate panic and the launch of investigations by both nations. A critical detail surfaced: Sarabjit had not filled in her nationality or passport number on her immigration form, a fact now considered a significant clue.

Adding to the enigma, a viral letter from Pakistan alleges that Sarabjit Kaur has converted to Islam, entered into a nikah (Islamic marriage contract) with a local man named Nasir Hussain, and adopted the name Noor Hussain. Reports indicate a mosque in Sheikhupura has issued a marriage certificate, purportedly confirming her consent to the nikah performed before a maulvi. However, Indian intelligence agencies remain unconvinced, exploring the possibility of a meticulously planned operation.

Further complicating the narrative, theories suggest Sarabjit’s husband has resided in England for two decades. Investigators are examining whether her disappearance was a calculated move to utilize the ‘dunkey route,’ an illegal border crossing network, to reach the UK via Pakistan. This potential illegal immigration attempt, if true, could explain her deliberate omission of immigration details.

Adding another layer of complexity, police records indicate Sarabjit Kaur faced three previous criminal cases, though she was acquitted in all. Her sons also have records under the NDPS Act. These past legal entanglements are prompting questions about potential pre-existing connections in Pakistan and whether her disappearance was pre-arranged.

Authorities have stressed that there is no concrete confirmation of religious conversion or marriage at this stage, with investigations actively ongoing. The truth behind Sarabjit Kaur’s vanishing act remains elusive, with persistent questions about whether she is a willing participant, was coerced, or if this is a complex scheme involving religious conversion, illegal immigration, or other clandestine activities.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has confirmed that three Bangladeshi nationals who were killed in India’s Tripura state were armed smugglers. These individuals had illegally crossed into Indian territory and subsequently attacked local villagers, resulting in the death of one villager and injuries to others. The MEA spokesperson detailed that the incident occurred on October 15, 2025, approximately 3 kilometers inside Indian borders, near Bidyabil village.

The group of three crossed the international border with the intent to steal cattle. When confronted by villagers, the smugglers retaliated violently, using weapons such as iron dahs and knives. Authorities arrived at the scene to find two smugglers deceased, with the third succumbing to his injuries the following day. The mortal remains of all three individuals have since been returned to Bangladesh, and a police case has been registered.

The MEA highlighted the incident as a stark reminder of the need for enhanced cross-border cooperation. They emphasized that Bangladesh must take appropriate measures to ensure the integrity of the international boundary and assist in fencing efforts to curb cross-border crimes, including smuggling.

This clarification from the MEA followed a strong protest from the Government of Bangladesh, which condemned the killings as brutal and unacceptable, demanding a thorough and transparent investigation into the matter.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Manipur on Saturday, marking his first trip to the state in two years following the ethnic violence between the Kuki and Meitei…

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Manipur on Saturday, marking his first trip to the state in two years following the ethnic violence between the Kuki and Meitei communities. While both communities have welcomed the visit, they have distinct demands for the government. The Prime Minister has stated his commitment to the development of Manipur and its people.

The Kuki community is seeking a separate state, while the Meitei community opposes this demand and is calling for the detection of illegal immigrants through the National Register of Citizens (NRC).

The Kuki community, representing the tribal population, has expressed their desire for a separate administration, requesting that their areas be made a Union Territory. They emphasize that this demand is not for convenience, but for the peace, security, and existence of their people. They have also urged the public to participate in the Prime Minister’s visit. The Kuki community claims that the Meitei community has caused the deaths of over 250 people and burned down homes, temples, and churches, displacing many. They allege that the Kuki people have been forcibly separated due to the actions of the Meitei community.

The Meitei community opposes the Kuki’s demand for a separate state, stating it is entirely wrong and could lead to the state’s division. They hope that the Prime Minister’s decisions during the visit will be based on equality, justice, and security, rather than being biased. The Meitei organization also appeals for the implementation of a process like NRC to identify illegal immigrants, addressing demographic imbalances. They hope the visit will not be limited to superficial actions.

There are differing views on the Suspension of Operations (SoO) agreement. While the Kuki community supports it, the Meitei community opposes it, viewing it as misleading and potentially increasing violence. The SoO agreement was signed in August 2008 between the central and Manipur governments and Kuki militant groups, aiming to initiate political dialogue and end violence. The agreement is extended annually; however, it was recently revoked due to the recent violence.

In a social media post regarding his Manipur visit, PM Modi mentioned his commitment to advancing the development of Manipur and its people. He will also lay the foundation for road projects, national highway projects, women’s hostels, and other development programs. Modi is scheduled to participate in events in Mizoram, Manipur, Assam, West Bengal, and Bihar over the next three days.

A shocking case of fraud has emerged from Punjab, India, involving a woman with alleged 15 husbands. The incident came to light when a man seeking a visa to join his wife in England was denied. Upon investigation, he discovered that his wife was listed as married to 15 different men, leading to a complex legal battle. The truth, however, was even more surprising. A couple running an immigration company had misused the woman’s identification documents to send 15 young men to England, falsely claiming they were her husbands. The woman, residing in England, was initially arrested, unaware of the scam. Her actual husband resides in Rajpura, Punjab. The immigration company, operated by a couple, प्रशांत (Prashant) and रूबी (Ruby), exploited the victim’s and his wife’s documents, facilitating the illegal immigration. The victim, Bhinder Singh, had filed a complaint with the Rajpura police, leading to the registration of a case against the accused couple. Bhinder Singh had intended to travel to England with his son. His wife had provided sponsorship. Bhinder Singh paid ₹5.90 lakh to the immigration company, but they failed to secure his visa. The arrest of his wife in England alerted him to the fraudulent scheme.

On Tuesday, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju reported a dramatic incident near Drass in Ladakh on social media, detailing the rescue of two individuals after their vehicle entered a river. The accident occurred just before his convoy reached Drass. Rijiju shared on his official ‘X’ handle that both passengers were promptly rescued. “Before reaching Drass in Ladakh, a vehicle fell into the river right in front of our convoy. Fortunately, we were on time and both individuals survived,” he wrote. The Minister also expressed appreciation for the welcoming reception and memorable experience he had in Sonmarg, Jammu and Kashmir, the previous day. He conveyed gratitude to the district administrations of Ganderbal and Kargil and also thanked his guide, Mohammad Sidiq Mir, for the warm welcome, noting the ongoing development in the State. Rijiju wrote, “On the way to Kargil, I had a memorable moment at Sonmarg. Grateful to both administrations of Ganderbal and Kargil. Thanks to senior guide Mohammad Sidiq Mir and other friends of Sonmarg for the wonderful company! Real development is happening now. Common people of Kashmir are great hosts & they are dead against the violence perpetrated by the enemies.” Additionally, Rijiju strongly criticized activist and former Planning Commission member Syeda Hameed regarding her comments suggesting that Bangladeshis could reside in India. Condemning her remarks, the Union Minister accused her of misleading people “in the name of humanity” and stated she should not support illegal migrants.

Following the deployment of National Guards in Washington D.C., President Donald Trump is planning to deploy military personnel in Chicago, Illinois. According to a report by the Washington Post, the Pentagon has been working on plans for military deployment in Chicago for several weeks. Over a thousand National Guards could arrive in Chicago by September. Trump had ordered the deployment of 800 National Guards in Washington on August 12, stating that it was being done to improve the deteriorating law and order situation in the capital. Trump’s decision is related to actions on crime, illegal immigration, and the homeless.

Trump had hinted on Friday that he was eyeing Chicago. He said that there was disorder in Chicago, and they have an unqualified mayor, a very unqualified one, and we may fix that next time. Trump also mentioned the names of other cities he wanted to ‘clean up.’ Officials involved in the matter say that the plan for military intervention in Chicago has been in the works for a long time. ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) is working with the city to search for illegal immigrants.

Mayors and state governors have strongly criticized Trump’s statements about taking over cities. Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker said that Trump is trying to spread chaos. Pritzker said that Trump used Los Angeles and Washington D.C. as testing grounds for authoritarian encroachment and is now thinking about taking over other states and cities. The Governor added that Trump’s goal is to create fear among people and destabilize current public safety efforts, and he is misusing his power. Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson expressed serious concern over Trump’s statements and future plans, saying that the President’s perspective is wrong and full of sophistry.

President Trump has used the 1970 Home Rule Act to deploy the National Guard in Washington D.C. This gives the President the authority to take control of the city’s police for up to 48 hours in an emergency. If the President informs the parliamentary committees that make laws related to Washington D.C., police control can be maintained for a longer period. However, it is not yet clear whether Trump has given this formal notice. According to the rule, if control over the city is to be maintained for more than 30 days, it is necessary to pass a law in Parliament.
