The demand for full-size SUVs is steadily increasing due to their spaciousness and seating capacity. Currently, the Mahindra XUV7OO and Tata Safari are popular choices among customers. However, new SUVs from Honda, Renault, and Nissan are expected to launch within the next 12 to 15 months, potentially posing significant competition to the XUV 7OO and Safari.

Honda’s upcoming 7-seater SUV will be built on the company’s new PF2 platform, compatible with petrol, strong-hybrid, and electric options. Although it will be a three-row SUV, it is rumored to be a stretched version of the Elevate, potentially offering a 7-seater configuration with a larger size.

This SUV will be manufactured locally at the company’s Tapukara plant in Rajasthan. Engine options may include a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, also found in the Honda City and Honda Elevate. A top-of-the-line variant could feature Atkinson strong hybrid technology.

Renault is planning to launch a new 7-seater SUV in the Indian market by the end of 2026. It may be a 7-seater version of the Duster SUV, but will feature a distinct design. Its larger size is expected to provide more cabin space.

Nissan India’s MD, Saurabh Vatsa, recently confirmed the launch of a D-segment premium SUV in early 2027. This seven-seater SUV, featuring three rows, will be based on a new mid-size SUV platform. It is expected to include features such as a 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS, ventilated seats, a large touchscreen infotainment system, a digital driver display, and a dual-pane sunroof. Apart from petrol engine and hybrid technology, a 4×4 driving system is also a possibility for the top variant.

Honda has launched the 2026 version of its popular maxi-scooter, the ADV 350, in Europe. Initially introduced in the European market in 2022, the scooter has gained considerable popularity. The company has now introduced visual updates to the 2026 model while retaining the same engine and mechanical components.

The 2026 Honda ADV 350 features three new color options and fresh graphics, giving it a more stylish and modern appearance. Honda has focused on enhancing the scooter’s appeal to attract European youth and adventure riders.

The Honda ADV 350 is powered by a 330cc SOHC, 4-valve engine, producing approximately 30 horsepower and 31.5 Nm of torque. The engine is mounted on an underbone frame, improving the scooter’s balance and stability. It features USD front forks and dual rear shock absorbers for a smooth riding experience, even on rough roads. The braking system includes 256mm front and 240mm rear disc brakes, with 15-inch front and 14-inch rear wheels. The maxi-scooter also has a large 11.7-liter fuel tank, suitable for long-distance rides.

The 2026 model retains the high-tech features introduced in the 2025 update, including preload-adjustable rear suspension, a 5-inch TFT display with Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity, a four-way toggle switch, a storage compartment light, and auto-cancel indicators. These features make the Honda ADV 350 a premium and adventure-friendly scooter in its segment.

Honda has not yet made an official announcement regarding the ADV 350’s launch in India. However, the maxi-scooter segment is gradually gaining popularity in India. Considering the success of scooters like the Yamaha Aerox 155 and Aprilia SXR 160, the company may introduce it to the Indian market in the future. Due to its advanced features and international specifications, it could be priced around ₹4 lakh in the Indian market. If launched in India, it could be a powerful new choice for high-end scooter enthusiasts.

Honda Cars India Limited has achieved a significant milestone in the Indian automotive sector by exporting 200,000 cars. This accomplishment underscores the company’s strong foothold and the success of the Make-in-India initiative on a global scale. The achievement highlights the prowess of Indian production capabilities, alongside the global quality and reliability associated with the Honda brand. Honda initiated its export journey with SAARC nations like Nepal and Bhutan. By 2021, the company had dispatched its initial 50,000 units to SAARC countries, South Africa, and SADC nations. The pace of exports accelerated, with the next 50,000 units reaching markets such as the Middle East, Mexico, and Turkey, which are left-hand-drive markets, in just two and a half years. A major shift occurred when Honda began exporting its mid-size SUV, the Honda Elevate, known as WR-V in Japan, to new markets. This model played a key role in enabling the company to export the subsequent 100,000 units in only two years. The Honda City and Honda Elevate models have been the most popular, accounting for approximately 78% of the total exports. The remaining 22% includes models like Brio, Amaze, Jazz, BR-V, Mobilio, City e:HEV, Accord, and CR-V. Today, Honda’s Made-in-India cars are available in 33 countries, with Japan being the largest market, accounting for about 30% of total exports. South Africa and SADC countries account for 26%, Mexico for 19%, and Turkey for 16%. The remaining 9% of units are distributed across the Middle East, SAARC, South America, and Caribbean nations.

The implementation of the new GST 2.0 policy has led to reduced tax rates for automobiles in India. Automakers are passing these benefits on to consumers, resulting in price cuts across various vehicle segments. While the reductions span a wide range, from entry-level hatchbacks to luxury SUVs, the impact on the two-wheeler market is particularly noteworthy.

The GST rate cut, specifically for motorcycles under the 350cc category, from 38% to 18%, presents a significant advantage for budget-conscious buyers. This positive change is expected to make popular commuter motorcycles more affordable. Hero Splendor, Honda Activa, Bajaj Pulsar, TVS Apache, and Royal Enfield Classic 350 are poised to become more accessible, potentially encouraging first-time buyers and boosting sales, especially during the festive season. Specific discounts on these commuter bikes are detailed below:

For bikes above 350cc, the new GST policy places them in a different tax bracket. These bikes will now attract a 40% GST rate. This includes higher-end models in the 450cc to 650cc range. Discounts may vary by city and stock availability, the following are expected price reductions:
