Lucknow (UP): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath flayed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his remarks on Raja, Maharaja remarks and said that accidental Hindu cannot feel pride in India’s heritage. “People who do not know the history and geography of India will definitely make such irrelevant comments. When I talk about Rahul Gandhi, I remember that once these people called themselves accidental Hindus. India has a rich tradition and our sages, Maharajas, and every section of the society have contributed in their respective fields. Rahul ji never remembered the atrocities of the Mughals, who left no stone unturned to Islamise India. It is unfortunate that those who call themselves accidental Hindus cannot feel pride about India’s heritage.”

Lok Sabha Elections 2024: ‘They are electoral Hindus…’: Meenakashi Lekhi on reports of Rahul Gandhi’s Ayodhya visit – The Economic Times Video
Reacting to the reports of Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Ayodhya Bharatiya Janata Party leader Meenakashi Lekhi on April 27 allegedly claimed Rahul and Sonia Gandhi to be electoral Hindus. “They (Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra) are the electoral Hindus who question the existence of Shree Ram and during elections, they remember Shree Ram, it is evident. If their minds had really changed, the country wouldn’t have been in a bad state where it was… To date, all the electoral scientists say that the voting percentage remains high in anti-incumbency while it goes down in pro-incumbency as the people are assured about who is forming the govt. Today, everyone knows that the BJP is going to form the govt at the centre, then their mouthpieces are raising the slogans of anti-incumbency,” said Meenakashi Lekhi.

RSS feels conspiracy against peace in society in its annual report
Express News Service
NEW DELHI: At a time when the age-old culture, values, traditions and the sense of identity, unity and integrity of the country are awakenings, some inimical forces are also conspiring to create a vicious environment in the society of Bharat.
Stating all this, the Rashtriya Swayamsevakas Sangh (RSS) has cautioned in its annual report that the challenge of increasing divisive elements in the country is alarming and efforts are afoot to weaken the society by raising various fissiparous tendencies in the Hindu society itself.
“As the census year approaches, these are instances of inciting a group by propagating that ‘they are not Hindus’. In the context of Hindutava, there are conspiracies to make unwarranted allegations by spreading various types of falsehoods,” the RSS said.
“It is necessary to create effective and strong ideological discourse based on truth and facts about Nationality, Hindutava, its history, social philosophy, cultural values and traditions,” it stressed, adding that the formidable form of growing religious ‘fanaticism’ in the country has raised its head again in many places.
The RSS has also stated that elaborate plans by a particular community appeared to be being made to enter the government machinery. “Behind all this, it seems a deep conspiracy with a long term goal is working. On the strength of numbers, preparations are being made to adopt any routine to get their points convinced,” the RSS has stated in the report.
The RSS, stressing the need to tackle this, has further stated that all-out efforts with organised strength have become the need of the hour to defeat this menace before unity, integrity and harmony of the society.
The RSS, touching upon some reported cases of religious conversions, has also said that planned conversion of Hindus in different parts of the country like Punjab, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, were reported.
“It seems necessary to make joint and coordinated efforts in this direction in a more planned manner,” the RSS has emphasised.

Britishers created communication gap between Hindu and Muslims, claims RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat
By Express News Service
MUMBAI: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Monday said Britishers made Hindus and Muslims fight by creating misconception, at a symposium on the topic of ‘Rashtra Pratham – Rashtra Sarvopari’ in Mumbai
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat met intellectuals from the Muslim community at a five-star hotel in Mumbai, where he said that Britishers told Muslim that you will not get anything in majority Hindu India because in democracy, the majority rules.
“Britisher told Muslims that the Hindus will only get elected because they are in majority in a democracy. Muslims will not get anything. Their demands will not be fulfilled as well. Besides, Britishers told Muslims that they won’t get anything if they decided to live with Hindus, that only Hindus will be elected and exhorted them to demand a separate (nation). They said Islam will disappear from India. Did it happen? No. Muslims can hold all posts. Since the time of arrivals of Muslim rulers and till today, the Muslim religion has not disappeared. It is very much there. So, the wrong information was spread. The Muslim can also get posts and positions in India. There are many who are getting it and continue to achieve it,” Bhagwat said.
He further said they (Britishers) created a misconception. “They told Hindus that Muslims are extremists. They made both the communities fight. As a result of that fight and trust deficit, both have been talking about keeping a distance from each other. We need to change our vision. They always fanned the clashes between two communities. And that caused a communication gap between two communities, rather than bridging it, we following the wrong people and widening it. We have to find out the permanent solution by going to root cause of this disease,” Mohan Bhagwat added.
The Muslim outreach program was arranged by Global Strategic Policy Foundation Pune in Mumbai’s luxury hotel.

Gujarat Deputy CM says talks about Constitution, secularism will last only till Hindus are majority in India
By PTI
HMEDABAD: Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel has said that talks about India’s Constitution, laws and secularism will last only as long as Hindus are in majority in the country, and none of the country’s “courts, Lok Sabha, Constitution, secularism” will remain in case Hindus are reduced to a minority.
“Those talking about the Constitution, laws, secularism will continue to do so only as long as Hindus are in majority in this country.
May god prevent this from happening, but if in another 1,000-2,000 years, the number of Hindus reduces, and (the number of) people from another religion increases, there will be no courts, Lok Sabha, Constitution, secularism…they will all vanish in thin air, nothing will remain,” he said.
Addressing an event on Friday to mark the idol installation ceremony at a temple of goddess Bharat Mata in Gandhinagar organised by Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), he added that he was not talking about all the Muslims or Christians, as a large number of them are patriots.
“I do not talk about all of them. Thousands and lakhs of Muslims, Christians are patriots. Thousands of Muslims are in the Indian Army, hundreds of Muslims are in Gujarat police force. They are all patriots. But (I am talking about those) who are not,” he said.
Patel criticised a Muslim organisation (Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind) for challenging the Gujarat Freedom of Religion (Amendment) Act, 2021 – that seeks to stop religious conversions through interfaith marriages using force – and wondered why it was troubled by the law even when it is not religion-specific.
He said that the government brought an amendment to the Act after much deliberation due to the concerns raised over cases of “love jihad”.
“I have to ask those who have moved writ in the court, will you still challenge the Act if somebody (from another religion) takes away your daughter (for forcible marriage and converts her religion)?… I have to ask that organisation as to what is their objection to Hindu girls marrying Hindus, Muslim girls marrying Muslims, Christian girls marrying Christians, Sikh girls marrying Sikhs,” he said.
Patel said that when the law applies equally to a Hindu boy forcibly entering into a marriage and converting a Muslim girl, then why only the Muslim organisation was troubled by the law.
The Gujarat High Court had recently stayed several sections of the controversial Act till the pendency of the case.
“People of their community should (rather) issue public statements, hold press conferences, and thank (state Home minister) Pradipsinh (Jadeja), the BJP government, and say they support and welcome the law for ensuring the unity, safety of Gujarat and protection of its daughters from every religion.
Why are they troubled, this I do not understand,” he said.
The BJP leader said that because of the landmark works of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah at the Centre, like removing Article 370, ensuring construction of Lord Ram temple, strengthening every religion.
Patel also thanked Jadeja for ensuring that Lord Jagannath Yatra in Ahmedabad and 157 other Yatras across Gujarat were taken out this year by taking precautions so that the number of COVID-19 cases do not go up.

Hindutva way of life, adherents of most religions descendants of Hindus: Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma
By PTI
GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday asserted that Hindutva is a way of life and claimed that adherents of most religions are descendants of Hindus.Hindutva began 5,000 years ago and it cannot be stopped, the senior BJP leader said at a press conference organised to mark the completion of the second month of his government in the state.
“Hindutva is a way of life. How can I or anybody stop it? It has been flowing through the ages. Almost all of us are descendants of Hindus. A Christian or a Muslim has also descended from Hindus at some point in time,” he said.
Hindutva cannot be “removed” as it will mean “moving away from one’s roots and motherland”, Sarma said.
Asked about the issue of “Love Jihad”, the chief minister said he has reservations for the term but asserted that nobody will be allowed to cheat a woman.
“The government will not tolerate any woman being cheated by anyone — whether Hindu or Muslim. Appropriate action will be taken against such offenders to ensure the safety and security of our sisters,” he said.
Asked about the opposition’s criticism of him for his statement that MLAs are meant to frame laws and ministers responsible for the development of constituencies, Sarma claimed that this is what the Constitution of India says and “legislators are above ministers” in this regard in the assembly.
On Independent MLA Akhil Gogoi’s statement that he will question the government at the assembly on alleged ‘anti-people policies’, Sarma said, “As the ruling party, the BJP will get three hours, as the main opposition party, the Congress will get one hour, while an Independent MLA will get three minutes and can ask within that time.”
“The BJP will not allow democracy to be hijacked but welcomes participatory democracy,” he added.
