The CM announced that ASHA workers will now receive a promotional allowance of Rs 3,000 instead of Rs 1,000. Similarly, Mamata workers will receive a promotional allowance of Rs 600 per delivery instead of Rs 300.

He wrote on X that since the government was formed in November 2005, the government has worked extensively to improve health services. ASHA and Mamata workers have played a vital role in improving health services in rural areas. Keeping this in mind and respecting the crucial contribution of ASHA and Mamata workers in strengthening health services in rural areas, it has been decided to increase their honorarium.

ASHA workers will now get Rs 3,000 instead of Rs 1,000, and Mamata workers will get Rs 600 per delivery instead of Rs 300. This will boost their morale and further strengthen health services in rural areas.

ASHA workers in Bihar are local women who are health workers, working under the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM).

ASHA workers take care of pregnant women and children. They also provide information about vaccination and family planning. They spread health awareness. They also work on data and record management.

Mamata workers are health worker women who mainly provide maternal and child health services in government hospitals and health centers.

The CM had announced that under the Bihar Journalist Samman Pension Yojana, all eligible journalists will be given a pension of Rs 15,000 per month instead of Rs 6,000. Also, in the event of the death of journalists, their husbands/wives will be given a pension of Rs 10,000 per month instead of Rs 3,000.
