An assailant on a motorcycle shot him with a country-made pistol near the Sanskrit school, hitting him in the stomach. Local residents rushed him to a private clinic in Pandaul, and he was later referred to DMCH for better treatment. He was then admitted to Paras Global Hospital in Darbhanga, where he died during treatment. The victim, Rajesh, and teacher Rukmani Kumari, had taught at the same school two years prior. They began a relationship during that time. Rukmani was already married with two children but desired to marry Rajesh. However, Rajesh was not ready to marry her. He distanced himself by transferring to a school near Madhubani. It is alleged that Rukmani and her husband, Abhilash, frequently quarreled over this issue. Abhilash was aware of his wife’s relationship with Rajesh. It has also come to light that Rukmani Kumari and her husband visited the school shortly before the murder. The attack on Rajesh occurred approximately five minutes after they left the school. SDPO Benipur provided details of the incident, stating that an FIR has been registered, and legal action is underway.
