Their union in 2014 bore fruit with a daughter’s birth in 2015, but cracks appeared by 2018. Hasin leveled serious charges including cruelty, attempt to murder, rape, and infidelity against Shami, filing at Jadavpur under multiple IPC provisions and seeking sustenance under CrPC 125.

Shami, undeterred, shone in domestic cricket lately, bagging nine wickets in a Ranji match. The Supreme Court’s intervention could streamline proceedings, offering a fresh chapter in this saga that has gripped cricket fans and legal observers alike.
