  • Light metro train will run in Raipur, green signal from center

    High-tech public transport service in the capital Light Metro train is likely to run again. The Central Government has approved this proposal of the State Government. State Urban Administration Minister Dr. Shiv Kumar Dahriya met the Minister of Housing and Urban Development Hardeep Singh Puri in New Delhi on Friday.

    During this, the Union Minister has asked to prepare a project report (DPR) for the light metro train project. The Union Minister has also agreed to several proposals, including the demand for new city buses and the opening of the Cleanliness Excellence Center at Ambikapur. During this meeting at Nirman Bhawan in New Delhi, Minister Dr. Dahria gave the Union Minister in detail about the innovative efforts and schemes being done in urban Chhattisgarh.

    Praising Chhattisgarh, Puri assured full support from the Center. Minister Dr. Dahria discussed the needs including new city buses to make traffic smooth and easy in the state and assured to provide central assistance. During this time it has also been agreed to open a cleanliness excellence center in Ambikapur.

    Special economic, technical for the effective implementation of reforms in bodies for treatment of gray water, Legacy Waste for scientific product execution and bio-methanization plants and other automation support under the SBM 2.0 scheme announced in the Union Budget Assistance and with the rationalization of the central fund according to the circumstances of Chhattisgarh in the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana has assured to provide assistance.

  • National Road Safety Month: Home Minister flagged off Anjore Rath

    State Home and Public Works Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu flagged off Anjore Rath on Tuesday during Mahasamund to bring public awareness to adhere to traffic rules during National Security Month. This Anjor Rath will work to make people aware of traffic rules under National Road Safety Month. On this occasion, Home Minister Sahu appealed to follow the traffic rules and compulsorily drive helmets to avoid accidents. National road safety is being observed from 18 January to 17 February. Collector, Doman Singh, Superintendent of Police Prafulla Kumar Thakur and local public representatives were present on the occasion.
