In a vibrant Holi address amid the Bhakt Prahlad procession in Gorakhpur’s Pandeyhata, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath painted a picture of a transformed Uttar Pradesh. Greeting citizens on Holika Dahan, he asserted, ‘No tension, no fear, no anarchy, no goondaism—only security, trust, and respect for all. This is the essence of Ram Rajya.’

Echoing PM Modi’s vision, Yogi said such harmony accelerates India’s development. He reminisced about the dark days before 2014, when festivals meant curfews, fear gripped society, and governments fueled divisions. Traders suffered losses, women felt unsafe, and chaos reigned supreme.

Contrast that with today’s UP: a haven for unhindered celebrations. Mathura-Vrindavan’s extended Holi drew global awe for its orderly grandeur. ‘Those who called us divided, where’s the division now?’ Yogi challenged, gesturing to the eclectic throng reveling together.

Delving into mythology, he recounted Prahlad’s triumph over Hiranyakashyap via Narasimha Bhagwan, likening mafias to demons that require firm eradication. ‘Laton ke bhoot baaton se nahi maante,’ he quipped, underscoring zero tolerance for lawlessness.

Shifting to development, Yogi spotlighted the Heritage Corridor project. Narrow alleys once choked with traffic will expand threefold, illuminated beautifully. Displaced merchants receive prime relocations, ensuring no losses. This historic trade route to Bihar and Nepal will reclaim its glory, boosting local economies and exemplifying bottom-up growth.

The double-engine government’s focus on security and infrastructure has turned Gorakhpur into a development beacon. After his speech, Yogi reverently performed Prahlad’s aarti, scattered petals on the chariot, and playfully showered flowers on the enthusiastic masses, amplifying the festive spirit.

In a powerful fusion of devotion and leadership, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath marked Maha Shivratri with extensive Shiva worship across Gorakhpur’s revered temples. As Goraksha Peethadheeshwar, he began at Gorakhnath Temple’s Shakti Peeth, where Rudrabhishek rituals unfolded with grandeur, beseeching Lord Bholenath for a healthy, prosperous, and peaceful life for every resident.

The morning’s public interactions gave way to intimate temple ceremonies. Bathed in panchamrit and anointed through Rudrabhishek, the Shiva lingam resonated with Shukla Yajurveda’s sacred hymns recited by temple purohits. Prayers extended to the welfare of all living beings, reflecting the CM’s holistic vision.

Venturing to Andhiyari Bag’s historic Mansarovar Temple, Yogi offered pooja items, conducted panchsnan, and abhishek with dairy and water. Local dignitaries joined as the event wrapped with fire offerings and lamp worship. Later, at Bharohia’s ancient Piteshwar Nath Shiva Temple – steeped in Mahabharata lore – he performed jalabhishek, invoking global harmony.

Beyond rituals, the CM connected with the grassroots: greeting block leaders, blessing schoolchildren, posing with sports enthusiasts, and inquiring after villagers’ well-being. This Maha Shivratri underscored Yogi’s dual role as spiritual guide and people’s representative, blending faith with governance.

In a bold move to secure futures for Uttar Pradesh’s young talent, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath revealed that diplomas and degrees from the state’s inaugural Forestry and Horticulture University in…

In a bold move to secure futures for Uttar Pradesh’s young talent, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath revealed that diplomas and degrees from the state’s inaugural Forestry and Horticulture University in Campierganj will guarantee jobs. Unveiled during a public address in Jungle Kaudia, this vision aligns education with employment in the green sector.

The university isn’t just about careers; it’s a catalyst for farmer prosperity. Graduates will drive innovations in horticulture, opening doors worldwide while enhancing agricultural yields. Yogi inaugurated the revamped BDO office amid cheers, weaving in the story of the Giddhraj Jatayu center – a tribute to the vulture that symbolized bravery in mythology and now needs urgent protection from modern threats like pesticides.

‘Gratitude to nature is our cultural ethos,’ Yogi remarked, linking ancient lore to contemporary conservation. He slammed environmental neglect, citing Delhi’s smog-choked streets where doctors confine the vulnerable indoors. UP’s response? Strategic development paired with eco-restoration through this university.

Post-2017 progress in Gorakhpur shines bright: fertilizer factories humming, AIIMS delivering care, BRD Medical College excelling, sugar mills revived, biogas plants operational, and industrial hubs thriving. Roads have widened to four-lanes, bypasses ease commutes, flood defenses strengthen, and a new college honors a spiritual icon, educating over 2,000 students alongside stadiums nurturing wrestlers.

Welfare reaches every eligible home – homes, sanitation, food security, health insurance, pensions. Yogi’s deep ties to Jungle Kaudia were evident as he recounted wading through floods to aid villagers and fixing issues from Lucknow.

Tributes flowed to veterans like Ram Pati Yadav, who served since 1952, and commendations for Brijesh Yadav’s smart investments in infrastructure like solar-powered halls. Bhaiyachhihiya block’s growth drew praise too. With promises of unwavering support and Mahashivratri blessings, Yogi rallied the crowd.

MLA Fateh Bahadur Singh highlighted unprecedented advancements under Yogi – from security to industry and social justice. The forthcoming mega forestry university, Asia’s largest, underscores the CM’s commitment to sustainable growth and youth empowerment.

Following the tragic death of 19-year-old NEET aspirant Deepak Gupta in Gorakhpur, allegedly at the hands of cattle smugglers, law enforcement has arrested key suspect Rahim after an armed encounter. The confrontation occurred during a joint operation conducted by the Pipraich police and a team from Kushinagar in Mauachapi village. Rahim sustained injuries during the exchange of gunfire and is currently receiving medical treatment under police supervision. Gupta’s murder ignited widespread protests, including stone-pelting and road blockades, resulting in injuries to law enforcement officials, including SP North Jitendra Srivastava and Pipraich Police Station in-charge Puroshattam Anand Singh. Investigations revealed that the incident unfolded around 12:30 AM on Monday in Mauachapi village. Cattle smugglers arrived with three vehicles, and a confrontation ensued when villagers, including Deepak, attempted to stop them from untying cattle. The smugglers abducted Deepak, drove him for an hour, fatally injured him, and dumped his body several kilometers away. Protests erupted on Tuesday morning, leading to road closures and the deployment of police and PAC forces. Authorities have registered a case and formed multiple teams to apprehend the remaining suspects. One alleged smuggler was captured and subjected to violence by villagers. Initial reports indicating bullet injuries were refuted by officials. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has called for stringent action, and senior officials have met with the victim’s family.

CCTV cameras have captured images of individuals who pelted stones at the Vande Bharat Express en route from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, to Patliputra station in Bihar. The Railway Protection Force (RPF) has stated that the perpetrators will be identified and arrested promptly. The stone-pelting caused damage to a coach, shattering a window. The entire incident, including the assailants, was recorded by the train’s exterior cameras. This is not the first instance of stone-pelting on Vande Bharat trains, with similar incidents reported on other routes previously.

The incident occurred on Monday morning near the outer signal of Motipur station, where unidentified individuals threw stones at the train. The attack targeted coach number C-5, where a brick struck and shattered the window in front of seats 70 through 75. Passengers in the coach were alarmed and immediately informed the Ticket Collector (TC) and RPF personnel.

RPF Inspector Bharat Prasad, based in Motihari, subsequently examined the CCTV footage from the Vande Bharat train in Gorakhpur. The footage shows two individuals throwing stones at the train. A school is also visible near the scene of the incident, and its boundary wall appeared to have been damaged, indicating that bricks were likely taken from there to use in the attack. The RPF Inspector has assured that the perpetrators will be apprehended quickly.

Following the incident, security measures on the Vande Bharat train have been increased. The RPF team from Patliputra station provides security up to Muzaffarpur. The responsibility then shifts to the Muzaffarpur RPF until Motihari, with the Gorakhpur RPF ultimately taking charge.
