Panic over domestic gas has subsided, reflected in dipping LPG bookings. States are ramping up crackdowns on stockpiling and illegal trade, backed by monitoring centers in 22 states and UTs. The ministry appeals for restraint: use online booking systems and avoid crowding at refill points.
