Tension gripped Rabupura in Greater Noida late Friday night as a routine vehicle check spiraled into a high-stakes gunfight between police and armed suspects. What started as suspicion over a speeding auto led to two gang members shot and wounded, with three more captured red-handed.

Patrolling officers flagged the auto near Ronija crossing, but the occupants panicked and unleashed gunfire while fleeing. Police returned fire in self-defense, injuring Syed Amin from Delhi’s Shahin Bagh and Goramiya from Nuh. Their weapons haul included pistols and ammunition, pointing to a dangerous crew.

The net closed on accomplices Munsar Kamaal, Bilal from Nuh, and Delhi’s Pushpendra Kumar. Seized items screamed illicit intent: slaughter gear like knives, syringes for sedation, saws, and bags for disposal, all loaded into the auto.

Under the 1955 anti-cow slaughter law, charges were filed against the group, who were already fugitives. Hospitals stabilized the wounded, while police dig into their histories for accomplices or prior offenses.

Such encounters highlight the perils faced by law enforcers in Uttar Pradesh’s outskirts, where smuggling and illegal operations thrive. Community leaders urge sustained vigilance to protect livestock and public safety.

Uttar Pradesh’s law enforcement delivered twin blows to criminal networks on Wednesday, arresting two fugitives in separate shootouts in Kanpur and Kasganj. The hardened offenders, linked to recent thefts and robberies, resorted to gunfire against police, only to be neutralized through precise defensive maneuvers.

Kanpur’s operation targeted the slippery Kallu alias Vishal, mastermind behind a December 14 jewelry shop burglary. With three gang members already incarcerated, Vishal had evaded capture since his dramatic January 15 jailbreak from Gujaini police station. Persistent raids based on intelligence led teams to Banpurwa, where a routine patrol turned into a firefight.

Spotting the suspect, officers ordered him to halt. Instead, he fired wildly and bolted. Police fired back in legitimate self-defense, hitting his leg and ending the pursuit on the spot. During interrogation, the 30-something criminal, son of Ram Prasad, owned up to five pending cases involving loot and burglary plaguing the area.

DCP South Deependra Nath Chaudhary detailed the post-arrest protocol: medical examination followed by judicial custody. This capture disrupts a spree of local heists that had residents on edge.

Kasganj’s success story unfolded under SP Ankita Sharma’s directive after a brazen dacoity in Nagla Mani. Four teams scoured the region, striking gold during nighttime vigilance at Bhagyawant Bridge. A motorcycle zipped in from Garhi Pachgai, ignoring stop signals and fishtailing onto rugged terrain.

As pursuers gained ground post-skid, the rider whipped out a weapon and shot at them murderously. Officers’ counterfire felled him with a leg wound. Yogendra from Kinawa village confessed to the robbery plot with partners. Seized items included his bike, illicit firearm, live ammo, empties, and illicit cash of Rs 35,000.

Rushed to hospital, Yogendra’s arrest closes in on the gang, boosting community morale. These encounters highlight proactive policing tactics transforming Uttar Pradesh into a safer state, one bullet at a time.

Delhi’s law enforcement struck gold in Dwarka as the Anti Auto Theft Squad dismantled a crucial link in the Saddam Gauri gang’s operations. Two arrests – one a hardened gangster…

Delhi’s law enforcement struck gold in Dwarka as the Anti Auto Theft Squad dismantled a crucial link in the Saddam Gauri gang’s operations. Two arrests – one a hardened gangster and the other an arms dealer – yielded two desi pistols and live ammo, highlighting the persistent threat of gang-related violence in the city.

Ravi, known by aliases Budhi and Jalebi, a 37-year-old from Uttam Nagar’s Om Vihar, has 14 prior cases to his name. He was nabbed on January 11 with a loaded pistol after a secret informant tipped off the AATS. His interrogation revealed Nishant, 21, from Hastsal Road’s JJ Colony, as the weapon provider. A subsequent raid netted Nishant’s pistol and cartridge.

This bust stems from DCP Dwarka’s strategy to monitor gang affiliates and extortion activities proactively. The covert operation involved a dedicated unit supervised by senior officers, showcasing meticulous planning and execution.

Ravi admitted during custody to his Saddam Gauri gang ties, motivated by fast cash through shakedowns of drug and booze operators. The arrests disrupt a budding extortion plot and expose the arms supply chain feeding Delhi’s underworld.

Police have filed charges under relevant Arms Act provisions at Uttam Nagar station. With investigations ongoing, authorities aim to map the gang’s full network, reinforcing public safety measures against rising criminal syndicates in the national capital.
