Samsung emphasized the tech’s roots in extensive user research spanning over five years. From engineering prototypes to rigorous testing, the goal was to address genuine privacy pain points in daily life.

Expected to launch with the Galaxy S26 Ultra at a February event, it offers granular options: set global privacy modes or target specific apps. Whether checking emails or finances, your data stays yours alone.

Shifting gears, Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 7 Olympic Edition steals the spotlight ahead of the Winter Games in Italy. Designed with national pride and athletic spirit, it features a striking blue-and-gold aesthetic.

Around 3,800 athletes will receive these devices, equipped with tools like real-time translation and athlete networking cards. The golden frame evokes medal dreams and Samsung’s pursuit of excellence.

Post-victory, expect ‘Victory Selfie’ moments on the podium. Meanwhile, Galaxy S25 Ultra cameras will immortalize key athletes’ triumphs, capturing the essence of Olympic glory through cutting-edge photography.

At least two foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, are expected to be unveiled. There’s also speculation about a potential ‘Ultra’ variant. Teasers highlight slimmer and lighter designs. Samsung’s statements emphasize the advancements in durability and construction.

AI integration is also a major focus, with the teasers suggesting an enhanced AI photography experience optimized for the foldable form factor. Samsung has already integrated Galaxy AI into the S24 series and expanded it to other devices. The new foldables are likely to feature similar AI capabilities. The Galaxy Z Fold series is expected to maintain its premium pricing, with previous models priced around $1800.

Beyond the phones, the event may showcase updates to Samsung’s wearables, including the Galaxy Watch 8, Watch 8 Classic, and a new Watch Ultra. One UI 8, incorporating new Galaxy AI features, might also be previewed. There is also a possibility of a presentation related to Project Moohan, Samsung’s experimental AR project, which was previously demonstrated at Google I/O 2025. Project Moohan focuses on immersive experiences and AR integrations.

The use of Ultra for the Galaxy Fold series will be an intriguing move if it comes through but it could be Samsung’s way of saying get the S25 Ultra features in this form factor. Samsung is widely anticipated to unveil its next-generation foldable devices in July 2025, likely at its annual Galaxy Unpacked event. In addition to the foldables, the company may also launch new Galaxy Watch models and potentially debut its long-rumoured tri-fold device.

Galaxy Z Fold 7 Specifications (Expected)

The foldable device is expected to feature a 6.5-inch cover screen and a large 8.2-inch foldable main display, providing an improved experience for multitasking and immersive media consumption. According to the rumours,  the device will boast an ultra-thin profile—measuring just 4.54mm when unfolded and around 9mm when folded—making it sleeker than its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 smartphone. 

The battery capacity is likely to remain unchanged at 4,400mAh. Additionally, both the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 are anticipated to launch in three colour options and offer at least two storage configurations. As per the Geekbench listing, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 would run on Android 16 and include at least 12GB of RAM. 

Samsung is expected to pack an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite in the new phone, much like the “for Galaxy” versions of Snapdragon chips in previous foldables and the Galaxy S25 series.

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 7 in July, with the base variant featuring 12GB RAM and 256GB storage likely to be priced at around Rs. 1,64,999.
