Women and Child Development and Social Welfare Minister Smt. Anila Bhendia flagged off the vehicle for distribution of free saplings under the ‘Paudha Tunhar Dwar’ scheme in Daundilohara forest area of Balod district. In this important scheme of the state government, free saplings will be distributed door-to-door by the forest department to encourage people to plant trees to spread greenery.
Smt. Bhendia encouraged people to plant more and more trees for a clean environment and informed about the free tree distribution scheme from door to door. Along with planting saplings, he also emphasized on its protection. Forest department officials and public representatives were present on the occasion. It is noteworthy that in the current year, the Forest Department has started the distribution of saplings from June 25 under the ‘Paudha Tunhar Dwar’ program in the state. The department has set a target of distributing 2 crore 27 lakh saplings this year.
