  • Vivo X21 Launch Tomorrow

    Vivo is all set to launch its X21 smartphone in India on May 29. Vivo has begun sending out out press invites for the launch event of the phone. This is the second smartphone from the company to come with the revolutionary under-display fingerprint scanner. Vivo X21 has been introduced in two variants; the premium version with an in-display fingerprint scanner, 6GB RAM and 128GB storage and the regular model with the standard fingerprint scanner, 6GB RAM, and 64GB internal storage. The Vivo X21 is launching as a Flipkart exclusive smartphone in India. The smartphone can be pre-booked by users in India via Vivo’s online store by paying an advance amount of Rs 2,000. The pre-booking offers includes a Rs 1,000 gift voucher from Ferns n petals, 5 percent cash back on SBI credit cards, no code EMI up to 12 months, and one-year device security along with 280 GB additional data from Vodafone.

    The Vivo X21 UD sports a 6.28-inch Full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 2280×1080 pixels resolution and a 19:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC and comes with an Adreno 512 GPU, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 256GB. The device runs FunTouch OS 4.0 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box. It has even got the Android P beta release post its launch. As for its optics, X21 UD comes with a dual camera setup at the back with a 12-megapixel primary sensor (f/1.8 aperture) and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor (f/2.4 aperture) along with LED flash. At the front, the smartphone sports a 12-megapixel camera for selfies with a f/2.0 aperture and features like facial recognition, IR fill light and 3D mapping. Connectivity options on the Vivo X21 UD include dual-SIM support, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, USB 2.0 with OTG support, and GPS.

  • Amazon offers to buy 60 percent stake in Flipkart

    Amazon.com Inc has made a formal offer to buy a 60 percent stake in Indian online retailer Flipkart CNBC reported on Wednesday, citing sources.Amazon also offered Flipkart a breakup fee of $2 billion and is likely to be on par with Walmart Inc’s bid for the e-commerce company, CNBC TV-18 reported.Reuters in April reported that Walmart was likely to reach a deal to buy a majority stake in Flipkart by the end of June.Representatives at Amazon, Flipkart and Walmart were not immediately available for comment.
