  • Women from self-help groups are doing fisheries economic growth

    Durga, a 20-member mother of village Asana of the block block Jagdalpur, is making economic progress through women’s self-help group fisheries. In the past, members of the group used to collect forest produce in addition to cultivation, and used to earn the income from it in the domestic work.
    After receiving information related to fisheries in various camps, programs organized by the Fisheries Department from time to time, a self-help group of 20 members was formed under the guidance of the departmental officer. The tiger Munda pond located in the village panchayat was leased for 10 years for the group’s self-employment.
    In the year 2011-12, the group started fish farming by leasing the tiger Munda from the Gram Panchayat and by adopting the necessary technology for fisheries under the guidance of the department and progressively increasing the fish production using supplementary ahar, lime and good production They are taking and getting good income financially, by following fish in the past years, they produced 18 lakh kg of fish in the year 2018-19, 02 lakh 23 thousand 920, 2110 kg fisheries in the year 2019-20, 02 lakh 53 thousand 200 and more than 77 thousand fish have been sold so far in the year 2020-21. The members of the group are getting a good income by increasing the production by increasing fish production, due to which the members have purchased their domestic use items and a permanent house has been built.
    The Department of Fisheries has provided fish seed, supplementary food, ice box, sifex, musket equipment as subsidy to fishermen under departmental schemes and National Agricultural Development Scheme and fishermen accident insurance is provided to all the members of the group. Maa Durga is getting the income of 02 lakh 50 thousand per year by doing fish farming by the women self-help group.

  • Bhupesh Baghel at the Fishermen’s Conference held on the occasion of World Fisheries Day at his residence office here today

    The Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, distributed the motorcycle cum ice box to 15 fishermen and the auto cum ice box to 2 fishermen at the fishermen conference held on the occasion of World Fisheries Day at his residence office here today. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also distributed a check of the first installment grant to 10 fishermen beneficiaries under the Fishermen Housing Scheme.

    On the occasion of the inauguration of the program, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel worshiped the boat, canoe and net after lighting the lamp. Agriculture Minister Shri Ravindra Chaubey presided over the program. Home Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu, Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Kunwar Singh Nishad, Ms. Shakuntala Sahu, Mr. Vikas Upadhyay, President of Chhattisgarh State Fishermen Welfare Board Mr. M.R. Nishad, Commissioner of Agricultural Production, Dr. M. Geeta, Director Fisheries Mr. V.K. Shukla was present.

    The Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel distributed a check for the first installment of Rs. 40 thousand to 10 selected beneficiaries under the Fishermen Housing Construction Scheme.

  • Finance Minister announces self-reliant India 3.0, will create new jobs
