**Royal Enfield Hunter 350 vs. TVS Ronin: Price**
The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 Retro variant starts at ₹1.37 lakh (ex-showroom), with the top Metro Rebel trim reaching approximately ₹1.67 lakh. This presents a compact, city-friendly package. The TVS Ronin, on the other hand, has a starting price of ₹1.25 lakh, going up to ₹1.59 lakh for its top variant.

**Royal Enfield Hunter 350 vs. TVS Ronin: Specifications**
The Hunter 350 features Royal Enfield’s J-series 349cc engine, delivering 20.2 bhp and 27 Nm of torque. It’s paired with a 5-speed gearbox. This is a familiar setup, tuned for a comfortable and torquey ride rather than outright speed. Its weight is approximately 181 kilograms.

In contrast, TVS equips the Ronin with a 225.9cc, oil-cooled engine, generating 20 bhp and 19.93 Nm of torque. Weighing 159 kilograms, it provides more comfort in stop-and-go traffic. The combination of low weight and quick throttle response makes it more accessible for newer riders. Both bikes have a top speed of around 120 kmph, but their performance characteristics differ.

**Royal Enfield Hunter 350 vs. TVS Ronin: Features**
While the Hunter sticks to its simple features, the Ronin emphasizes technology. Royal Enfield offers features such as Tripper navigation (on select variants), an analog-digital instrument cluster, dual-channel ABS, USB port, and LED tail lamps. The TVS Ronin is feature-rich for its segment.

It includes a fully digital display with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and riding modes (Urban and Rain) that alter the ABS response. Upside-down front forks and a mono-shock rear setup provide a more modern ride compared to the Hunter’s telescopic and twin-shock setup.

The 2026 Honda ADV 350 features three new color options and fresh graphics, giving it a more stylish and modern appearance. Honda has focused on enhancing the scooter’s appeal to attract European youth and adventure riders.

The Honda ADV 350 is powered by a 330cc SOHC, 4-valve engine, producing approximately 30 horsepower and 31.5 Nm of torque. The engine is mounted on an underbone frame, improving the scooter’s balance and stability. It features USD front forks and dual rear shock absorbers for a smooth riding experience, even on rough roads. The braking system includes 256mm front and 240mm rear disc brakes, with 15-inch front and 14-inch rear wheels. The maxi-scooter also has a large 11.7-liter fuel tank, suitable for long-distance rides.

The 2026 model retains the high-tech features introduced in the 2025 update, including preload-adjustable rear suspension, a 5-inch TFT display with Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity, a four-way toggle switch, a storage compartment light, and auto-cancel indicators. These features make the Honda ADV 350 a premium and adventure-friendly scooter in its segment.

Honda has not yet made an official announcement regarding the ADV 350’s launch in India. However, the maxi-scooter segment is gradually gaining popularity in India. Considering the success of scooters like the Yamaha Aerox 155 and Aprilia SXR 160, the company may introduce it to the Indian market in the future. Due to its advanced features and international specifications, it could be priced around ₹4 lakh in the Indian market. If launched in India, it could be a powerful new choice for high-end scooter enthusiasts.

**Design:**
The original Thar was recognized for its rugged aesthetics, highlighted by features such as robust bumpers, removable roof panels, squared wheel arches, the distinctive seven-slat grille, and other elements conveying its tough character. The facelift preserves these fundamental design traits but refines them for a more contemporary appearance. The grille now incorporates a body-color finish, seamlessly integrating with the front fascia. The bumpers have been redesigned with a dual-tone finish and silver accents, adding visual contrast. Moreover, Mahindra has introduced two new color options: Battleship Grey and Tango Red, with the latter replacing the previous Rage Red.

**Features:**
The earlier model featured amenities like steering-mounted controls, manual air conditioning, roof-mounted speakers, and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

The 2025 Mahindra Thar facelift boasts several upgrades, including an electric fuel-lid opener, Type-C charging ports for both front and rear passengers, and rear AC vents. The infotainment system has been enlarged to 10.25 inches and is paired with a revamped interface compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. In addition, the new Thar includes a reversing camera, along with a rear wiper and washer.

**Interior:**
The interior of the older Thar was designed to withstand both everyday driving and off-road adventures, offering practicality. It incorporated roof-mounted speakers, a touchscreen infotainment system, and washable floor panels. Despite its straightforward layout, it delivered the comfort expected from a modern SUV while maintaining the durability needed for challenging terrains.

Mahindra has incorporated interior enhancements, such as a new steering wheel. The facelift version now includes grab handles on the A-pillars with ‘THAR’ branding for both the driver and front passenger – previously, this was only on the co-driver’s side. A sliding armrest with storage has also been introduced. Automatic variants now feature a dead pedal. Moreover, the power window switches have been repositioned to the door armrests from the center console.

**Powertrain:**
The facelifted Thar retains its mechanical setup. It continues to offer a 1.5-liter diesel engine producing 118PS/300Nm, a 2.2-liter diesel delivering 132PS/300Nm, and a 2.0-liter turbo petrol making 150PS/320Nm. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic.

The rear-wheel drive configuration is available with the 1.5-liter diesel (manual only) and the 2.0-liter turbo-petrol (automatic only). The four-wheel drive setup is offered with the larger diesel engine and the turbo-petrol, both available with manual and automatic gearboxes.

**Price and Rivals:**
The previous model was priced between Rs 11.35 lakh and Rs 17.60 lakh (ex-showroom). The 2025 Mahindra Thar facelift is priced from Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Both models continue to compete with the Force and Maruti Jimny.

The all-new Venue will retain its upright and boxy stance, but it will feature a completely new front fascia. The front will showcase a larger, redesigned grille, split pattern headlights, and a vertical LED DRL element. The side profile will include new 16-inch alloy wheels, thick body cladding around the wheel arches, and sharp wing mirrors. The rear will sport a fresh look with a new connected LED tail lamp setup and a redesigned glass house.

While the interior details of the new 2025 Hyundai Venue are not yet available, the new model is expected to include a redesigned dashboard, a larger touchscreen, a center console with new switchgear, a 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, and an updated ADAS (Autonomous Driver Assistance System) suite.

Buyers will have three engine options: an 83 bhp, 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol, a 120 bhp, 1.0-liter turbo petrol, and a 100 bhp, 1.5-liter diesel. The base naturally aspirated petrol engine will be paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox, while the turbo-petrol engine will continue to offer a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT transmission. The diesel variant will come with a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Due to this generational upgrade, a slight increase in price is expected. Following the recent GST cuts, the current generation Hyundai Venue saw a price reduction of up to Rs 1.33 lakh, with prices now ranging from Rs 7.26 lakh to Rs 12.32 lakh.

The 2025 Skoda Octavia RS is powered by a 2.0-liter TSI petrol engine, delivering 216 hp and a maximum torque of 370 Nm. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a seven-speed DSG transmission. Based on the UK-spec model, this version will not include Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC), which is available in other markets.

Upon launch, the Skoda Octavia RS is expected to be priced around ₹50 lakh due to its CBU (Completely Built Unit) status. If priced as such, it will directly compete with the Volkswagen Golf GTI.

**Mahindra Thar 3-Door Exterior:**

The radiator grille does not have the body shell-like finishing. Silver trim has been added to both bumpers for a dual-tone treatment. The alloy wheel design remains the same, but the rear now features a parking camera and rear washer-wiper. For passenger convenience, a switch to open the fuel lid is provided in the driver’s seat. Two color options are available: Tango Red and Battleship Grey.

**Mahindra Thar 3-Door Features:**

The addition of new pillar-mounted grab-handles makes it easier to get inside the cabin. Updated Mahindra Thar models include power window switches on the door panels. Features borrowed from the larger Thar Roxx include the steering wheel, a 10.25-inch touchscreen unit with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a sliding front armrest, and rear AC vents. The touch display will also show various parameters like altitude, bank angle, pitch, and yaw angle under a suite called Adventure Stats.

**Mahindra Thar 3-Door Engine:**

The Mahindra Thar offers the same engine-transmission options, existing suspension setup, and drivetrain. There are no mechanical changes. Three engine options are available: a 1.5-liter diesel, a 2.2-liter diesel, and a 2.0-liter turbo-petrol. Gearbox options include a 6-speed MT and a 6-speed AT.

The Thar facelift offers a range of engine options. The mStallion T-GDi turbo-petrol engine is a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder unit generating 152 bhp and 300 Nm of torque with a 6-speed manual transmission, while the 6-speed automatic version sees a slight increase to 320 Nm of torque.

Diesel variants are available in two states of tune: the mHawk 130, a 2.2-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder unit producing 132 bhp, and the D117, a 1.5-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder unit producing 119 bhp. Both diesel engines deliver 300 Nm of torque. The 2.2-litre diesel comes with both 6MT and 6AT options, whereas the 1.5-litre diesel is exclusively offered with a 6MT.

Engine availability varies by variant. The 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine is exclusive to the top-end LXT variant, with manual and automatic transmission options and 4WD availability. In the petrol RWD configuration, the Thar is available only with the automatic transmission.

The 1.5-litre diesel engine is offered in the base AXTR and LXT variants, but is limited to manual transmission and rear-wheel drive (RWD). The 2.2-litre diesel engine is available only with the top-end LXT variant, with both manual and automatic transmission options, and features 4WD as standard.
