Paddy procurement festival has started in Chhattisgarh from December 1. Special preparations have been made to ensure that farmers do not face any problem in selling paddy. Paddy procurement centers have been built for farmers around their villages. For this, the state government has created about 260 new paddy procurement centers in this kharif marketing year. In this series, State Revenue Minister Jai Singh Aggarwal inaugurated two new paddy procurement centers in Korba. Revenue Minister inaugurated Ward No. 48 Sumedha and Ward No. 31 Dadarkhurd Paddy Procurement Center of Korba Municipal Corporation area. With the start of the new paddy procurement center, the farmers of the village adjacent to the area will get freedom from traveling long distance and selling paddy. Farmers will also be able to sell paddy by starting paddy buying center near the village. At the inauguration ceremony of Paddy Procurement Center Sumedha, the Revenue Minister said that with the opening of Paddy Procurement Center in Sumedha, about eight villages of Semipali, Naginabhatha, Kendai Khar, Sumedha, Lata, Agarkhar, Kumgari and Saliyabhatha farmers have to sell their acquired paddy There is no need to take the Conberry Paddy Procurement Center about 20 kilometers away. Farmers of these eight villages will be able to sell paddy in Sumedha and will also save time and money in taking paddy to remote procurement center. He said that Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel is making a strong effort to provide all possible facilities to the farmers of the state. Farmers are being provided the facility to sell their paddy in and around their village. He said that 49 new procurement centers are operational in Korba district with the establishment of 7 new paddy procurement centers this year.
Farmers of Agarkhar, Lata, Kendikhar, Semipali, Sumedha, Kumagri, Salihabhantha, Naginabantha will be provided facility in the new paddy center of village Sumedha under Korba assembly constituency. Apart from this, village Jamnipali, Balgikhar, Dagniyakhar, Churakchahar, Inkamudi, Baredimudi, Dumar , Bhatapara, Kudurmal, Chorbhatti are also in progress. Similarly, in the Paddy Procurement Center of Dadarkhurd, farmers of Dadkhurd, Kharmaura, Dhelwadih, Barbaspur, Jhagraha, besides the villages of Naktikhar Godhi, Pandaripani, Karumauha, Bundeli, Dumardih and Muslidih of Rampur assembly constituency will get the facility. During the inauguration ceremony of the procurement center, Mr. Bhajan Kanwar, former sarpanch of Sumedha expressed happiness over the establishment of a paddy procurement center in his village on the support price and said that 22 kms were sold for selling paddy. Had to wait for his turn to cover the distance. Now we are all very happy with the opening of paddy buying center in the village itself.
