  • Nearly four thousand patients got health facility from Chief Minister Urban Slum Health Scheme

    The poor living in the slums of the urban areas have also started getting health facilities easily. Under the Chief Minister Urban Slum Health Scheme, which started in the month of Bastar district, about four thousand people have been provided health facilities so far.

    It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Urban Slum Health Scheme is being operated to provide easy health facilities to the citizens and workers of the slum areas residing in the urban bodies of Chhattisgarh, as per the Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel. Health check-up and treatment is being done in wards under Chief Minister Urban Slum Health Schemes under Bastar Municipality Corporation area. Under the Chief Minister Urban Slum Health Scheme, four mobile medical units are reaching out to different wards and treating people.

  • Shipments Of Moderna Vaccine Leave Production Facilities In US

    First shipment of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, on December 20, left a distribution centre in the US, a desperate move to curb the spread of COVID-19. The much-needed shots are expected to be inoculated starting December 23, just three days after the Food and Drug Administration(FDA) authorized their emergency use. America started its ambitious mass inoculation programme on December 14 and is the only nation to authorize two vaccine candidates.

    According to Associated Press, several trucks on Sunday left the factory in the Memphis area in the state of Tennessee carrying vaccine developed by Moderna Inc. and the National Institutes of Health for later distribution. While health officials have prioritized frontline healthcare workers and elderly citizens for inoculation, a committee is set to meet to discuss people who should be next in line for vaccine shots. Regardless, experts have predicted that the general population would have to wait until the spring of 2021 to get the vaccine.

  • ‘India’s COVID-19 Vaccines Will Benefit All Countries’, Says Bhutan Ambassador To India

    Following the 64 diplomat’s tour of Hyderbad-based Bharat Biotech and Biological E, Bhutan’s Ambassador to India spoke to the foreign envoys on board the plane back to New Delhi and said that India’s COVID-19 vaccines will benefit most countries. Vetsop Namgyel stated that India’s vaccines will be the ‘easiest to administer and transport’ as the country is ‘known to produce in bulk quantities’. The 64 foreign envoys on the COVID-19 vaccines facilities tour were also briefed by Bharat Biotech’s Chairman and Managing Director Dr Krishna Ella with regards to India’s vaccine manufacturing capabilities. 

    Bharat Biotech’s Dr Krishna Ella informed the Foreign Heads of Mission that nearly 33% of global vaccines are produced in Hyderabad’s Genome Valley while adding that the city has the largest FDA approved vaccine facilities. On the other hand, Managing Director of Biological E Mahima Datla hailed PM Modi’s vision and efforts to ensure that Indian companies play a significant role in creating, producing and delivering vaccines across the globe. Dr Krishna Ella also lauded PM Modi and said that the industry will ensure that his vision and dreams of providing vaccines to humanity will come true.

    The slogan of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel’s Khelbo-Jeetbo-Garhbo Nava Chhattisgarh is now becoming increasingly concrete on the ground. State-of-the-art sports facilities are being developed rapidly for the players and sports enthusiasts in the state of Chhattisgarh. This will give a different identity to the state of Chhattisgarh on the sports map, as well as the players here will get the facility of international level sports training in the state itself. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, the State Government has also achieved a major achievement in the development of sports infrastructure in the last two years. Under the leadership of the Chief Minister and under the guidance of Sports Minister Shri Umesh Patel, several important steps have been taken to promote modern sports as well as rural and traditional sports in the state and to enhance the talent of the players.
    After the formation of the new government in the state, the Sports Development Authority has been formed in the state, taking an important decision to increase sports and sports facilities. To promote sports activities in the state, new and modern sports academies are being started. These academies will be run through the Chhattisgarh Sports Development Authority. Since the formation of the state of Chhattisgarh, till now there were many sports fields and sports infrastructure which were not being used properly, the Bhupesh government, through the Sports Development Authority, upgraded these unusable playgrounds and made them useful for the players.     Most recently on November 19, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel laid the foundation stone for the construction of Tennis Sport Academy on 4 acres of land adjoining the Agricultural University Cultural Building in Raipur. 17 crore 75 lakh has been sanctioned by the Sports and Youth Welfare Department of the state government for the construction of this academy. Under the Tennis Sport Academy, Admin Building, Hostel Building and Tennis Court will be constructed. The tennis court will have a capacity of 3, 500 spectators.

  • Efforts to provide all necessary facilities to farmers in paddy procurement centers: Jai Singh Aggarwal

    Paddy procurement festival has started in Chhattisgarh from December 1. Special preparations have been made to ensure that farmers do not face any problem in selling paddy. Paddy procurement centers have been built for farmers around their villages. For this, the state government has created about 260 new paddy procurement centers in this kharif marketing year. In this series, State Revenue Minister Jai Singh Aggarwal inaugurated two new paddy procurement centers in Korba. Revenue Minister inaugurated Ward No. 48 Sumedha and Ward No. 31 Dadarkhurd Paddy Procurement Center of Korba Municipal Corporation area. With the start of the new paddy procurement center, the farmers of the village adjacent to the area will get freedom from traveling long distance and selling paddy. Farmers will also be able to sell paddy by starting paddy buying center near the village. At the inauguration ceremony of Paddy Procurement Center Sumedha, the Revenue Minister said that with the opening of Paddy Procurement Center in Sumedha, about eight villages of Semipali, Naginabhatha, Kendai Khar, Sumedha, Lata, Agarkhar, Kumgari and Saliyabhatha farmers have to sell their acquired paddy There is no need to take the Conberry Paddy Procurement Center about 20 kilometers away. Farmers of these eight villages will be able to sell paddy in Sumedha and will also save time and money in taking paddy to remote procurement center. He said that Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel is making a strong effort to provide all possible facilities to the farmers of the state. Farmers are being provided the facility to sell their paddy in and around their village. He said that 49 new procurement centers are operational in Korba district with the establishment of 7 new paddy procurement centers this year.
    Farmers of Agarkhar, Lata, Kendikhar, Semipali, Sumedha, Kumagri, Salihabhantha, Naginabantha will be provided facility in the new paddy center of village Sumedha under Korba assembly constituency. Apart from this, village Jamnipali, Balgikhar, Dagniyakhar, Churakchahar, Inkamudi, Baredimudi, Dumar , Bhatapara, Kudurmal, Chorbhatti are also in progress. Similarly, in the Paddy Procurement Center of Dadarkhurd, farmers of Dadkhurd, Kharmaura, Dhelwadih, Barbaspur, Jhagraha, besides the villages of Naktikhar Godhi, Pandaripani, Karumauha, Bundeli, Dumardih and Muslidih of Rampur assembly constituency will get the facility. During the inauguration ceremony of the procurement center, Mr. Bhajan Kanwar, former sarpanch of Sumedha expressed happiness over the establishment of a paddy procurement center in his village on the support price and said that 22 kms were sold for selling paddy. Had to wait for his turn to cover the distance. Now we are all very happy with the opening of paddy buying center in the village itself.

  • Kochi Metro’s unique initiative, now can travel with passenger cycle

Kochi Metro of Kochi, Kerala, has now allowed passengers to keep bicycles inside the metro for the purpose of promoting bicycles in the city.
    According to the media report, sources connected with the metro have informed that at the beginning of this project in the city, only six stations will be approved to provide bicycle entry to the passengers. These stations include Changampuzha Park, Palarivattam, Town Hall, Ernakulam South, Maharaja College and Elamkulam Metro Station. These stations will allow entry and exit with the bicycle.

    The metro administration says that if passengers like this service, then it will be implemented at all metro stations. To this, Kochi Metro MD and Additional Chief Secretary Alkesh Kumar Sharma said, “To promote end-to-end connectivity and non-motor transport, to promote healthy lifestyle, it is permitted to carry bicycles inside the metro.” People now understand the importance of fitness and exercise.
